Abandon system Now this is dark time when surviviors never lose.
Hello fog travelers in this post i want to discuss an Abandon system which works against one side and forces them to lose mmr, or stay like it is.
Killer
Scenario #1 – If all Survivors Are Bots:
- The Killer can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW.
(Ok, now when we must play against a bots why this is should be draw? Its boring, unfair etc etc… Dudes can leave to force you to play Dead by bots.)
Scenario #2 – If the match has continued for 10 consecutive minutes without a generator being completed or regressed:
- The Killer can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a LOSS.
(Imagine situation where all surviviors want to hide to make killer lose, in that case surviviors are wining without doing their OBJECTIVE! This should be DRAW!)
In the next bugfix surviviors can force killers to lose just by simply hiding and holding killer hostage to win!
Survivor
Scenario #1 - When all other remaining Survivors left alive in the Trial are bots:
- The last Survivor can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW. (Okay its fine)
Scenario #2 - When all Survivors alive in a Trial are in the Dying State:
- The Survivors can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW.
(This should not work for last 2 surviviors, because we are end in sitiuations when 2 loss 2 draws. But now all survivors can just walk to the killer if they dont want to play and this is GO next but worse. And when they should get loss they get draw/)
I mean Abandon system is good as idea but as always devs dont play their game and judje from stats, if all these scenatios will be draw then its fine.
Even now im not playing Dead by daylight, this is Dead by bots which is horrible 🤨

I think there should be a disconnection penalty for all abandon situations. However, I understand why the abandon system is in place. There are killers who are not yet skilled enough to win games without slugging. This is to prevent slugging all 4 players to win. This change needed to happen. It will also force those less skilled killers to learn how to win without slugging.
Maybe the solution is that if a player abandons, that they are not "gone", instead they are replaced with a bot that is in the same state they were when they left?

Oh yes, he has some very good points all around.
To the main topic, agree. abandoning after 10+ minutes of nothing happenning (killer) should be a draw and abandoning after every survivor is downed (survivor) should count as a loss.

Everybody getting slugged isn't necessarily the Killer's fault.
I've had at least two games recently, where every Victim kept coming at me to flashlight/pallet save somebody I had downed, only to get downed themselves, until suddenly everybody was on the ground.I hope we can agree that it makes perfect sense for a Killer to chase away another Victim with a flashlight, in order to prevent a flashlight save. If all the Victims are so dense that they end up all getting slugged without the Killer moving more than a tile away, there's a skill-issue on the Victim's side.

Fine, let's make a mode where survivors get to escape every match, but it shows them as "Dead" and gives the MMR to the killer. I'd be cool with that. It'd be more fun than current solo queue…
If you want to be "favored" instead, I'm sure they can accommodate your super well thought out request

Whether you like it or not, slugging everyone is a win without any question, it's not like hatch escape

no it's more like if survivors complete gens under a
certain amount of time survivors lose or if they aren't injured in x time the killer wins
and that's my poor examples of the equivalent of the abandon system

Abandons should be losses, it's that simple. In no case is it ever a draw, your forfeiting the match

Isn't it supposed to be a slug prevention thing? like to sway killers away from 4 man slugging? it makes sense to me. earn your win like everyone else in the game and dont' just try and cheese it by going for 4 man slugs! also does it matter? you get your bloodpoints which is the only thing this game offers for winning

It's not slug prevention thing, and on top of it, what is the benefit of staying AWAY from slugging?
By slugging survivors killers can keep MMR low while winning all they want, which makes it EVEN MORE EASIER to repeatedly slug for win, if anything, this thing encourage killers to slug lot more to avoid SWAT SQUAD swfs
You are just like plenty other people here, misunderstanding the whole point of MMR and somehow misunderstanding this issue is about player feel rather than matchmaking

Yo! i forgot i made that post lol)
Welp as i thought. 3 of 10 games i just walking around a map and find that NO SINGLE GEN DONE.
After 10 minutes, surviviors either still wait until i leave, or just walk at me to be downed to leave without penalty.
