New mechanic idea

When a survivor has been in the dying state (slugged) for 2 minutes, a animation plays and the survivor is dragged into the floor (like when killers in the 2v8 could stamp on the survivor to hook them) and they are automatically put on the nearest hook to that survivor.

If a survivor is healing another survivor in the dying state their timer stops (for this mechanic) until the survivor in the dying state is picked up or the survivor stops healing the one in the dying state.

If all survivors are in the dying state or on the hook their timer increases by a factor of 2 ticks per second until one survivor is in the health or injury state again.

Small print:

The survivor sees a bar above their recovery bar that takes 2 minutes to fill up, this indicates when they will be put on the hook automatically.

All survivor related hook perks work with this mechanic.

If the killer has a scourge hook perk and this mechanic puts the survivor on a scourge hook the killers perk will work.

Any other hook perk will not work with this mechanic.

Chances that could be made to this mechanic:

Could be to increasing or decreasing the time this mechanic takes to activate or make it so no killer hook perks work with this mechanic or make it so all killer hook perks work with this mechanic.

What this will solve?

It will make it so survivors can’t be slugged for more than two minutes but also allows them to use their perks if needed.

It will make it so killers don’t have to waste their time looking for a survivor that they slugged to win the game for 4 minutes but also allows them to still slug if needed and not get punished for it.

Ive been wanting a solution to the deliberate 3rd slug, so the 4th cannot get Hatch for ages. Making it automatically hook or some similar mechanic could finally get the strategy out of play. I hate being slugged again and again and again, JUST so they can find the 4th.

Even a hatch/key rework instead would be nice. So if you dont get hooked, a hatch pops open OR the other idea, a closed hatch appears, that can be opened if you had a key. The killer is forced to either risk you getting out or hook you or close hatch and end game timer is started to end the game anyway. Deliberate not hooking needs punished, as long as it doesnt benefit a slugged survivor hiding in the corner.

Maybe similar to the anti-camp? As long as your slugged and inside the killers radius, not being hooked, you get a bar increasing that will flip open a hatch as usual, at random some where. Therefore it literally has to be deliberate slugging, as you have to keep crawling towards the killer for the progress of the bar.

instead of adding a new mechanic just use unbreakable or boon exponential

Thats not a fix though. If i get slugged and bleed out, its my fault i dont have the perks? Come on lol. Ive had games with Exponential and guess what. The killer slugged me over and over trying to get the 4 kills. We are discussing the longer slugging because the killer wants to be annoying and refuses to hook, not just a minute slugged.

Personally its not about moaning about being slugged, i get it, i play killer too. I know some situations it happens and cant be helped, BUT there are many killers who do it on purpose, especially on last players to deny hatch. I cant blame survivors for being annoyed about laying on the floor unable to do anything. If the game forced me on to hook, fantastic i will die like i was meant to, because the killer couldnt be bothered to do it. Why should i have to DC to combat that waiting to bleed out for 4 minutes? Kill me, let me go to another game like a killer is meant to do.
