Was there any instance where the devs used something from the creations forum?
Honest question, sometimes i do the tread on general because after its moved it loses traction so i cant feel the public reception on the idea

No, whilst we view suggestions and feedback for content that is live in the game, and how to make something better for example, we do not take suggestions for upcoming content.

That's good to know. Then we don't need to post any more suggestions in the suggestions forum about what we would like to see in the future

I see, so that entire section of the forum is completely useless. Figured you people didn't care about feedback.

"you people" - nice!
Notice we're talking about "creations" forum here, not suggestions and feedback - which is where we take feedback from!

So better question… has any suggestion or feedback from the suggestion and feedback part of the forum actually been used? Any examples?

imo it's pretty fair to say the suggestions/feedback section is used quite often, we're just not explicitly told the 'how and when' unless it's something really major.
I can even give a real example that I was there for, a long while ago during the PTB where hemorrhage was reworked to cause healing progress regression, I noticed it also affected survivors in the dying state which I thought was a big problem
I made a thread about it, got a response from someone (Might've even been Mandy, I can't remember) and sure enough it was changed to not affect dying state survivors when the PTB went live.
Now I'm not taking credit for the change, but I think the thread I made was used to gather feedback along with other places like steam forums or the reddit etc.

Honestly, a bunch of stuff in the QOL updates (current and coming soon) are stuff that have been asked in the forums (more perk presets, bulk bloodpoint spending, gamma settings, prestige rewards, M&K support for consoles, Anti-go-next, that last one needs some serious tweaks though).
Even if the time it takes varies greatly, a bunch of stuff from the playerbase (asked through the forums among many places) eventually got implemented.

on that one a lot, especially around PTB's where changes are suggested - my team and myself have some long conversations with Design to give them the feedback and look at what changes are needed.
We also monitor what players are saying about specific perks, killers etc and give that feedback and the suggestions that are made around those things.

I actually remember that!

Isn't the create your own chapter a community suggestion for upcoming content?

It's a gimmick where the community picks from already pre-approved concepts that BHVR came up with.
They aren't letting us make something up from scratch.
It's like the difference between a Multiple Choice Answer test vs a free form essay structure.

Not sure if it was done because of the forums, but in the past a lot of new killers accidentally cancelled a generator kick early because instead of looking at the progress bar, they used the animation and sound cue. And back then the animation ended and the sound occured before the kick was actually finished.
After seeing multiple new players make that mistake, I made a suggestion about it in feedback and suggestion.
Next month in the 7.7.0 patch they implemented the following change:
"The Generator Damage interaction has been reviewed so that the Generator is actually damaged closer to the point where the hit lands to prevent letting go of the input early."

Yes, mine.
Prestiging characters unlocking their teachable perks permanently across all other characters is something I suggested as a way to help future-proof the game. Couple months down the line, it was added in.

I do actually remember a couple of things I suggested getting added:
Haemorrhage causing heal progress to decay (suggested apr 2020 and later again feb 2021, added early 2022)
Pig's Iridescent Video Tape causing Survivors to start the trial with RBTs (suggested april 2020, added late 2021. there were some notable differences; my idea was a buff to Rules Set No. 2 because it was the Iri back then, but rarities were swapped around with the rework. My idea was also a lot more wacky with a Generator immediately completing at the start for an immediate headpop timer, but the core idea of "start with the traps set up, like in a SAW movie" is the same. There are a few other addon ideas that are kinda similar like John's Medical File becoming a crouch movespeed increase, but the iridescent is the main one I remember)
Did the developers actually read these specific posts and decide to do them based on that? Probably not, it's 1000x more likely they came up with these on their own, or someone else came up with these before me and they were the actual inspirations. But if nothing else, it's a neat coincidence

Yea, and we notorious Pig mains known as the Society of Swine also got some changes to Pig done between a PTB and Live. Don't remember the full details, but we got some of the proposed nerfs reverted and even a buff or two added.
It was the patch that removed The Pig's ability to see her own trap box auras.0 -
Well that sucks

I don’t really know if they can legally… Things get VERY rocky when it comes to creative properties and who made them. Lawsuits and “stolen content” are some issues that could arise in court from ANY company. You can make arrangements and contracts with one or a few people, but the whole community is a hard one.
