Deja vu is a low pick ?
the low pick in question :
deja vu is very balanced, it awards u with bonus gen speed for going to the gen even if its the open and could put you in danger, do not buff nor nerf this perk please.
its literally perfectly balanced, and the gen speeds are already concerning

Elsewhere in the thread, it's clarified that Deja Vu is actually one of the perks being changed due to Maps getting changed, since the two have an interaction.
I'm not sure if that means nothing functionally changes at all or not, but it's on the list because of the item changes, not because it's got a low pickrate.

Reading is key:
"
In addition, we’ve adjusted perks that affect items to make sure they’re compatible with this update’s Survivor item changes."Those Perks not only get Buffs, but if they interact with Items, they will be changed to be in line with the changes they do to Items. For Deja Vu, Maps will track the Gens which are highlighted by Deja Vu, they will probably remove that. I dont think they will do many more changes, at least they should not do it, because the Perk is in a very good Spot right now.

well i really hope you are right

I mean, maybe they will remove the faster repair speed, because DBD-people are bad at math and think that it is in any way significant, but nothing more.
But it is most likely only the interaction with Maps and it should not be more of a Nerf (and a Buff is also not needed).

Detective's Hunch applies the revealed aura's to your map. This functionality might be getting applied to other objective Aura reading Perks. (I love my team-wide objective reveals from DH + Map and Crystal Bead, I hope that isn't nerfed, I like being a "Scout")

Tbf there were alot of comments in that thread. It would be easy to miss that clarification.

Can confirm, it's the less known secondary effect that's being changed on Deja Vu - the perk is not being buffed.

ty for the confirmation <3

I thought Deja Vu got a temporary repair speed bonus, to help with anti-3-gen?
But we now have an anti-3-gen mechanic in the game, so Deja Vu no longer needs the repair speed bonus?

Same website says Skull Merchant has more killrates than Nurse, Knight, Spirit, Houndmaster and Nemesis

Does anyone else remember that Deja Vu's gen speed boost was meant to be temporary until the 3gen fix came?
The 3gen fix has been here for a year. Deja Vu did not lose its gen progression bonus.
Mandy, please explain why? I don't care if you want to give Survivors another perk to help with gens, that's fine, but… why has it not been changed back if it was temporary? Why not tell us if you were keeping it? I don't like this hiding of info.-4 -
the less picked a killer is the higher the kill rate since only the mains are playing it, and im looking at right now it says 50.82% (skully)
houndmaster is at 50.13%
Knight is at 50.22%
Spirit is at : 50.45%
STARRRRS is at : 50.70%
and nurse is at : 48.83%
so unless u mean that small precentage i would say that is somewhat accurate
1 -
what’s the secondary effect that’s being changed exactly?
0 -
+6% to gen speeds if you repair highlighted gens
-2 -
the 3 highlighted gens from deja vu are applied to maps and they are removing that since maps are getting reworked. basically nothing is changing gameplay wise about deja vu unless u ran it with a map consistently for some reason.

That one player who used a Map with Deja Vu all the time is in shambles.
4 -
Yeah, but you dont have to read the comments to find that part. But IMO this just shows how unpopular Maps are, if people dont even know about this interaction.
1 -
it also doesn’t help that the in-game description doesn’t even mention deja vu being affected by maps. I had to look on the wiki to find out it was compatible with maps

Even when using a map I doubt most people would notice. They'd probably just assume it got marked from running around the map. I used to run Detective's Hunch alot back in the day and completely forgot about it interacting with maps.

It's not as though the perk's causing any problems, so I imagine it just ended up being not a priority to change it back. I wouldn't if I were in their shoes- it'd just be making a good healthy perk weaker for no reason.

Current form of DMS with some other perks still allows you to hold 3 gen long enough to win, it's just no longer holding game hostage for 50mins. So I'm ok with Deja Vu, it happens a lot in my game that survivors 3 gen themselves, mostly because of new spawn logic.

My issue isn't that the perk is unhealthy, it's not.
My issue is that BHVR said one thing, meant another, and hid that they weren't changing it back from us while we all believed they would. If they are willing to hide the Deja Vu thing from us, what else are they hiding? How can we trust the Devs if they lie about reverting a change once another change happens?0 -
I really don't see why this would be considered "hiding information" or "lying" when the much less concerning and much more understandable "didn't consider it worth speaking on" fits just as well.
This isn't exactly a big pressing issue they need to address, it's just a perk that has been trucking away without being problematic or controversial in any way. With so many other, actually pressing issues, why bother taking the time to vocally state one way or the other about changing Deja Vu back?
Just seems like a waste of effort to me more than it seems like they're actively hiding something by not saying something.
1 -
That's kinda my problem, why hide this instead of just telling us they felt it was OK and wanted to keep it?

oh I never ran maps with Deja, I only ever ran it as a standalone perk any way
