Heyyyyyy behavior im here to complain about a slugger i know i know but please read anyway<3
So there was this bubba (red flag #1 amirite) they did excellently from the very beginning, partially due to the fact that he was very skilled and also due to the fact that my rando survivor friends were really good at getting in his face and failing to bodyblock for a hook save
All but me and one other survivor(dying) were alive, and he spent forever looking around for me, eventually i was able to get her up and sneak around only for her to eventually get downed again, her life meter just about empty
The bubba then goes to pick her up and drop, forcing her on her feet, where she then just sorta ran around not sure what to do, all to prevent her from dying, to prevent hatch from appearing, to guarantee a 4k for whatever reason.
Eventually i had just given up on this goofy game, and held out hope that he was pulling a mercy considering like 1 gen at most was complete, and we were the last two, with only one hook to spare on my part
He finds me, and saws me down, then zips around to my survivor friend, downs and hooks her, and moris me.
This feels like really unsportsmanlike gameplay, and i sent a report out for him after the match, though ive heard what your previous opinions on slugging and camping are, so id at least like to open up discussion here and get some thoughts.
Forcing a survivor to survive to continue a search and never ever ever allow hatch to appear is just really disheartening, especially as a killer main trying to maintain as little bm as possible, regardless of the situation.
I know there are only so many caveats you can put on the gameplay to cap every situation and ensure every eventuality, but this seems like something you can just put a report in for and get someone like an hour ban or something, not something that needs to be resolved in the actual gameplay like with the basekit borrowed time and the facecamp meter and all the whatever else
personally, a lot of what i enjoy about this game is having this sort of rp moment of embodying the killer im playing, filled with bloodlust and focus for taking survivors down, and doing that (and NOT camping, and AVOIDING tunneling wherever i can, and taking a loss straight to the face even if i could try to secure a single kill in the egc) skillfully and expertly, and explicitly avoiding exploiting or taking advantage of the games mechanics just to win because win.
This kind of behavior explicitly opposes that sort of style of gameplay, forcing a game to turn out a certain way even beyond the desire for ranking up or even blood points. If feeling this way puts me in the super minority, i absolutely get it, and if its something that just comes with having an asymmetrical competitive game and there isnt more than youve already put it place to blockade this sentiment, i totally get it. This is just the first time this has happened to me (first time ive survived long enough in this situation to even see it lol) and idk if its actually super commonplace or expected, but i wanted to open a dialog to get some thoughts on this gameplay mindset in general.
Thanks for reading, i hope my sentiment is unique enough to warrant making a post lol

I completely understand that it could be seen as a bit unfun for some people, but realistically, what do you want done here? To prevent something like this you'd have to punish the killer for slugging when a game is considered "over" and there's just you two left. That's just unfun design and gameplay as a whole.
If the killer is doing something like this just do objectives to force his hand or end the game quicker.
I do like the kinda RP you can do with killers since they're so unique in their own ways, but not everyone's playstyles are going to match. You'll have a slugging Nurse at 5 gens and a Demo that never slugs or even hits gens. If the game was this quick and he wanted his 4k, I don't see it as unsportsmanlike like. Annoying? Sure. But nothing warranting a report.
Also this is kinda off topic but I'm confused by what you mean by body blocking for a hooksave against Bubba. He's probably the only killer you DON'T want to do that against lol. He can down your entire team with one chain use of his power, including the person off hook with endurance.

Bodyblocking against any killer does work, if he's carrying someone to the hook. And it does happen (even in soloQ) if you are trying to desperately save someone on death hook (but sure enough it's questionable results-wise and huge gamble for game being just over).
As for what to do - someone just reminded me in another post of old hatch mechanic. Partially return of this mechanic for last 2 survivors would actually resolve the issue. The thing being - if there are just last 2 survivors, the game is for all intents and purpose over if there's more then 1 gen left. The only exception is if you have little bobby with 5hrs experience trying to catch literally Ayrun while the other survivor does gens (so never). And the idea for return the hatch - if there are just last 2 survivors left, then make the game actually still interesting. Give out long-enough timer for killer to actually try to chase. Say 1 minute (or maybe 2?) + killer would get killer instinct for 1 second every like 10s so that it's not just boring hiding in the whole map. If killer can't catch survivor in that time, then hatch spawns and is open. If killer then shuts it down (and all the generators did not get completed in that time), both survivors get immediately killed. If one of the survivors escapes (and not all generators are already completed), the other one gets sacrificed immediately.
This is not even unfair provided you don't take survivors as a team (which it isn't truly a thing in soloQ) - it's just last 2 survivors got unlucky in matchmaking with their other 2 teammates who can't chase at all. So mechanic like this would still heavily favor killer, but it would actually keep the game spicy and give a chance to last 2 survivors for something to try out instead of waiting for inevitable death fiddling their thumbs and waiting (also this scenario happens quite often whenever killer outright stomps survivors without slugging them).

No, they said body blocking for a hook save. Not to prevent a survivor getting hooked. Unless its just worded poorly that means someone is already on the hook and you're trying to get multiple people near the hooked person against Bubba (which you never want to do).
So killer brings a hatch offering, sits on where it would spawn not allowing survivors to do anything, waits 1 minute (not enough to do multiple gens), and gets 2 automatic free kills? Why would you kill the survivors if hatch is closed and not let them get the gates like normally? There's plenty of times where a teammate or I have gotten an escape (or a 2E) after a really bad game in EGC.
This is also too unfair for the survivors and anyone that isn't aware of the mechanic isn't going to understand why they can't out-hide the killer. The game doesn't need more complicated mechanics to deal with edge cases, its bad enough to learn about the game already lol.

i understood it "badly worded way" otherwise you are basically right.
As for the second point - you are again spot on if all the things align. Given killer brought offering, survivors messed up royally, 2 died with 2+ gens not being completed enough to finish in given time, killer banked on survs not completing gens, then you are right. It would create even more boring (but less probable) scenario.
But I think there would be way how to tweak it to make the game interesting. Because expecting long enough chase for 2-person team to do 2+ gens is really not engaging. At that point I would rather end the match at the spot then be forced to play it out (realistically IMO you have less then 1% chance to do 2 full generators - yet again provided you are not ayrun vs new-ish killer).
