DC killers = No survivor adept. It is not fair
So, yesterday I was trying to get my adepts of the new survivors, but in the three games where I could have had a chance to complete my challenge, the killers decided to disconnect when they realized they weren't going to be able to "win*" and we were about to open the gates. Three games where I tried hard to get the adept, and I couldn't get it just because the killer decided to disconnect. In the other matches I just died so that's understandable. But in the ones where I tried my best, I didn't get a chance because a player decided to dc. I don't think it's fair that all my effort to complete a challenge drained just because the killer decided to disconnect. I admit this has never happened to me before; it's the first time I've experienced it. But 3 times? 3 lost opportunities for me to complete my challenge? If the killer decides to dc, that's their problem, but I shouldn't be blame for their decision.
I don't know if the same thing happens to killers (it's never happened to me for my challenges), but if it does, it's not fair either. I think devs should do something about it.
*For me, winning is earning points, regardless of whether I kill everyone or escape, but it seems that the majority of the community considers "winning" to mean getting 4 kills or escaping.

ah, the classic anti Adept tech. one of the forbidden moves i assumed was long gone. they should change that, since what are the odds the killer is gonna snipd the survivors and DC to help "boost" by farming adept?

I wanna say they changed it to get better stats, like maybe the flags were giving them bad readings or something. But I don't see why DCs shouldn't count toward Adepts since they happen beyond your control.

Yeah tho i reported that killer for late DC and wrote same thing as you but short version. I was trying to get rick grimes adept and killer DC right when we about to escape, Rick perks are awful, there is no use in them as an adept. Its like playing him with no perks equipped...

Does report system even works? I never saw response someone got punished even if I opened ticket

I'm not even sure support is really looking at report tickets. I reported two survivors and a killer for blatantly working together in a game, and support didn't even look at the videos I submitted with the ticket. They closed the ticket with "we've handled it," but I never got an in-game notification.
They make reporting time consuming, require evidence, and then even when their customers follow all their steps support does nothing. Frustrating as hell.

Apples and oranges. You don't have to punish anyone for DCs to still count toward Adepts.

Sure, sure. Killer thinking it was ok to quit once they felt the game was unwinnable has nothing to do with this.

It doesn't. At least not for me. On the contrary, people tend to play the sweatiest when going for adepts so it sort of benefits everyone if they can get through it faster.

You dont have to report DCes since they're handled automatically.

Yup. And not just for adept — it would be great for other achievements too (like escapes on RPD (if you manage to open the gate before the dcs happens), main gen on specific maps and escape, etc.)

You used to get it when the killer disconnected (or if all 4 survivors disconnected because they didn't have survivor bots yet) but it was changed some time ago. I do agree it sucks. especially now that they have survivor bots that means that the killer can still get their adept now.

It likely has to do with data collection. If killer d/cing counts as an escape, then Kill Rates can be deflated by d/cs.

Hey Kiler main here. Yesterday I was actually having server issues that made my game crash alot. Its fine now but the game wasn't playable for me yesterday

They could make a counter and if it happens 3 times while trying for adept, you get it

You know we could already have them as 2vs8 we have them if other killer dc:s. They are actually pretty good unlike the survivor bots.

Killer bots are like being chased by nemesis zombie only they are bigger and faster and sometimes depends on the killer and ai how its programed to use his power, only bot killer thats good and nuts at the same time is nurse (we saw it in the 2v8 when coconut won some games with her).

I agree. That's why it'd make more sense to change Adept to trigger from DCs as well instead of changing whether DCs = kills/escapes, but I'm not sure how much they'd be willing to do that now with the console achievements in mind. I wouldn't think it'd be too complex since the achievement itself is still the same, but you never know.
