Myers received more nerfs than buffs with his rework
With Myers changes he's overall received more nerfs than buffs
- Stalker mode is 4.2m/s, Tier 1 was 4.4m/s
- Pursuer mode has 24m TR, Tier 2 had a 16m TR
- Evil Incarnate has a 40m TR, Tier 3 had a 32m TR
- Stalking range reduced to 32m from 40m
- No benefit to stalking from a distance
- Stalking now decays after time
- Slower stalking while moving
- Evil Incarnate only lasts 40s, Tier 3 lasted for 60s
- Animation for transitioning into Evil Incarnate
- Audio queues for when being stalked and then another for when Evil Incarnate is ready to be activated.
- Slaughtering Strike has a 6s? cooldown between uses. Might use use it 2 or 3 times before needing to stalk again.
- Evil Incarnate vault speed is slower than T3 vault speed
- Scratched Mirror is now visceral add on
I think that's everything but there may be more.
Why are already weak killers being nerfed ? Even after the changes he's not much stronger than before the rework. While I don't completely hate the rework, the nerfs above are unnecessary. I hate the new slaughtering strike ability and sure while I can run fragrant tuff add on its not the same as old Myers. Myers is currently my most played killer but honestly not sure if I want to play him anymore. I'm really hoping he isn't left in this state.

Yeah, I'm gutted by the rework. Myers is what really got me into dbd and its my main as well.
I find myself now playing him like a generic killer cause he's relegated to fast chases instead of meticulous strategic pursuit. Like many people have said, he really only needed some tweaks, not complete overhaul.

He did but most bs nerfs are slaughtering strike, his terror radius nerfs both in tier 2 and tier 3 and then stalk range because now all survivors hear sound q when he reaches 50% of his stalk meter so he can no longer stalk you without you finding out (unless the survivor who is stalked is compleatly clueless or doesnt care).

Forget that the most biggest nerf is tier two 99 when he could get close and pop tier 3 to get instadown or mori with tombstone, simular to ghostface without the mori part.
6 -
Yeah but that needed to go. At least tombstone did.
-7 -
all they have to do is just revert all the numbers to how Myers was before the rework
They can keep the stalk mode and purser mode but change the numbers back
Make the slaughtering strike activation like 1.5 seconds so your not slowed and clunky
Remove the 6 second cooldown

Despite all the negative feedback I doubt Behavior is going to revert him, because that means that they would have to admit that it was a terrible idea in the first place.
6 -
they reverted anti tunneling though
They admitted it was not ready

Yeah the rework just makes myers look more like a chore to play than before and for what… basekit brutal and 20% enduring that doesn't do anything in pursuer mode?

Because in its current state those changes may have actively killed the game. Character - focused reworks like this that manage to weasel their way onto live almost never get amended. Like with what happened to Freddy, to Trickster, to Singularity, to Skull Merchant, etc. And now Myers. The only one I can think of that they actually fixed was Sadako's terrible rework, but even then I think it was only because people were starting to complain about her being too strong.

Tombstone was outdated and I even saw some mayers main who got many jours on him deffend the antitunbel changes were needed but then admited most of his games he used tombstone which was easy to gues because of his 80% kill rate. His tier 2 with the 99 was ok and only reason he wasnt worst killer but now this is gone which people start to find out and you cant do it with his slaughtering strike which almost everybody says he feels terrible than before.

i mean sure okay. whatever. but tombstone/tombstone piece needed to go, right? staring at people all match just to instakill them after all the gens were done was like the least interactive thing ever? boring game design yeah?
the 99 stalk thing I could take or leave (honestly probably would've been fine if they just added in the stinger at 50+%, maybe even make it global at 75% so you can better anticipate when he's ready to go tier 3) but slaughtering strike is just baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. and if they buff it, it's going to be a situation where like…why not just keep the extended basic attack version instead. basic attacks just feel better. why do we need a goddamn dash?
frustrating.

I’m sorry but that’s a exaggeration the anti tunneling changes could have worked if they just tweaked numbers and removed the gen blocker part
it’s funny killer mains and every YouTube channel complained about the update.
Off the record gets nerfed and we have a S tier character who is great at tunneling1 -
Normally I would agree that people are too quick to claim something is going to "kill the game", but the anti-tunneling and slugging changes legitimately changed how the core of DbD worked, in a way that many players hated.
I don't see why it's funny that people were calling that out. I would dare say that most who voiced their concerns didn't even want the system gone entirely, just tweaked a lot - which is what the devs are actively doing.

Increased lunge isnt bad but he got only 25% in tier 3 and now current version has 20% in tier 2 (presuer mode) so zhey need to make it like 50% minimum and maybe increase his lunge speed acceleration so he isnt same as before or joke like he is now. I want him to be mediocre at worst because he deservs it after all those years he was left in corner as old toy and for what he done was being first licence that helped this game to move forward and not end up like other simular games.

Tier 1 wasn't 4.4m/s. It was the same as it is now. On release Tier 1 was slower at 4.14m/s.
Also, people need to stop begging for reworks. They never turn out like you want and often turn out worse.

Hopefully Michael will got buffed in the next patch.
3 -
When Myers received buffs last year Tier 1 movement speed was increased to 4.4m/s
6 -
He was 4.4 m/s in tier 1 since patch 8.4.0
5 -
That's all the buffs he ever needed then. Now we have the rework.

admitting somthing isnt ready to go live so holding back and admitting they were wrong to release rework myers are very different. look at the new killer and the update as a whole, its a disaster and we havnt seen bhvr admitting it was a bad call to release a pro tunneling killer with a pro tunneling update.

Simply increasing his Tier 1 speed was never the only thing he needed. I didn't want any major changes to his powers just some buffs to his current kit.
2 -
I didn't realize myself until I played him and saw these nerfs in action. On paper his rework sounded like a W.
Kaneki gets one nerf but Mikey gets several in his rework. Unbelievable.

He needed massive buffs to tier 2 and 3 or rework which we have now but he is kinda same for me they gave him what he needed and took what he had and was key for him like tier two 99 for fast downs or his smaller terror radius on both tier 2 and 3 (40 meters got only wesker than ghoul when they came out and then other s or high a-tier killers like billy, blight, krasue so I dont know why mayers has to have 40 meters tr just game him the old sound q when he activates evil incarnate problem solved). Many buffs you see like vault speed he had them before same as he has them now only other effects like basekit brutal or bigger lunge are current buffs and they arent enough, worst part is slaughtering strike being worse to use than pigs dash and hard to use as billys saw or onis dash for me which is something that annoys me the most.
