Myers Changes are good (Stalker/Pursuer/Evil Incarnate) But...
Myers is such a good killer and the rework did more harm than good.
Like the title states, Stalker/Pursuer/Evil Incarnate modes are definitely a good change to be able to switch between each.
The only issue is... the "Slaughtering Strike" ability.
I feel like that instead of "OG Myers" being the effect of the "Fragrant Tuft of Hair addon", I feel like "Slaughtering Strike" should be the effect of the "Fragrant Tuft of Hair" addon.
I am a Myers Main, I have been since September of 2018. I feel like the changes are in the right direction but with the wrong boost.
In my honest opinion Slaughtering Strike just made Myers worse. Especially because it has and EXTREMELY Long cool-down on misses and hits. Which makes the "Fragrant Tuft of Hair" addon A NECESSITY!
If we can just have Slaughtering Strike and OG Myers switch places Myers will be in a better spot than what he currently is.
Like most Myers mains can agree, Slaughtering Strike is such a weird innovation that could have been an addon replacement for one of many of Myers' OP Addons. But instead we have it basekit.
I speak for most Myers Mains and people probably starting out to play him first that we need OG Myers as Basekit and Slaughtering Strike as the "Fragrant Tuft of Hair" addon instead.
I am Hopeful a Dev reads this feedback and hopefully makes us Myers enjoyers proud! 🥹🙏
[Tell me your thoughts below] (This post is not a Buff or Nerf suggestion it is to make Myers more acceptable until another solution to make him even better is found)

Maybe we can keep the strike but it must have faster animation when starting it and less slowdown when using it, now its terrible and maybe I would give him old terror radiuses back because monitor was nerfed and his buffs just gave him brotal strenght in tier 2 and basekit mori in tier 3 which are things that dont justify the terror radius increes.

Honestly I feel Slaughtering Strike is too predictable. And very easy to loop around even if any changes were made to buff the ability. I feel like it should still be an Addon replacement instead of his Basekit ability.

I think most people agree the slaughtering strike is the main issue with this rework. That and there's too many audio queues for everything Michael does.
6 -
Honestly true and I kinda love the Stalking Audio Cue but I believe it should be for the Killer only so you can get more immersion instead of giving away you're watching.
2 -
idk I kinda like it cause it gives you a oh ######### I’m being watched moment
I love it but it’s also counter intuitive cause Myers gets no buffs from stalking afar and the range was lowered
they need to bring that back
3 -
Honestly if they buffed stalking from afar for example if you're farther you gain Stalk faster I would say having the survivor hear the Cue would be beneficial for both the survivors and Myers since Myers would be able to reach Evil Incarnate faster and the survivors can still feel being watched. So I can still see the cue being viable if they tweaked stalking alil bit to compensate the alert.

Yeah, I’m not gonna lie. The rework is kind of the main reason why am refusing to continue P100 Myers

Playing "Fragrant Tuft of Hair" Myers is easier imho. But honestly thats the only reason to level him up for now is to stack those until they make OG Myers basekit instead of "Slaughtering Strike" hoping they listen to the feedback! 🥹🙏

I for shorter deadly ambush with instadown so its faster to pop evil incarnate mode like 1,5 seconds and not slow as its now and make the strike to have longer reach than basic attack ( his old tier 3 with 25% lunge increase) and faster speed than basic attack, now as you said its super easy to deal with and predictible more than pigs dash attack and for me the terror radius changes are bad too even more because they nerfed monitor and abuse which was perk that made lower terror radius killers stronger but now its gone.
1 -
Dont forget terror radius changes too, fot persuer mode he got just basekit brutal strengh and 20% increase in lunge and decrease stun time which are small buffs for increasing his terror radius from 16 meters to 24, his evil incarnate mode has 40 meters terror radius from 32 but its way weaker than onis furry and it has no mobility and 40 meters terror radius got only killers which have solid mobility with chase power like blight, wesker, ghoul or krause head form so Idk why mayers have to got it too.
3 -
Yeah honestly I do still believe it should be an addon but the suggested changes to buff the "Slaughtering Strike" sound pretty good to try and polish the ability. And hopefully they decrease his Terror Radius slightly so he can still sneak alil bit in Pursuer mode 🙏

I feel like they thought people would abuse "Slaughtering Strike" so they made it harder to use and to make him louder than usual to combat consistent use but at the same time reduces Myers' playability if everyone knows when he's about to come and/or about to strike. Hopefully they can change that! 🙏😭

Some buffs and maybe a switch to being the "Fragrant Tuft of Hair" addon and the OG Myers ability to stay basekit. 🥹🙏
I miss my Myers boiio being able to actually achieve his goals without an addon 😭🙏

Yeah now you can be more in stalker mode but you are 105% speed which is only good on indoors especialy hawkins or larrys, he should have his old terror radiuses back.

I liked the tier 3 (even 2 but that happened once per match zhen it would just notify tier 3 start or end) sound q which warned all survivors and was better desinged than just slapping 40 meters terror radius which is huge nerf because not even good survivors can prerun you and waste 10 or more seconds but now he is in evil incarnate only 40 seconds so this is nerf overall.

Get rid of the dash and replace it with a different, more interesting and especially more faithful ability. I was always a fan of the idea that Myers could traverse the map extremely fast when unseen. Now that we have the option to go stealthy whenever we want, including something like does not seem impossible. We already have a "dont - look at me" - mechanic in the game (unknown).
3 -
I also think Slaughtering Strike isn’t that helpful in many situations. The pallet-breaking is nice, but that’s about it.
Wouldn’t it be an option to bring back the old one-shot basic mechanic from OG Myers Tier 3? Keep Slaughtering Strike in addition for specific scenarios, but that way we’d also restore the animation and sense of menace that define the killer.

It would help alot tbh with his old TRs 😭

100% true I just wish they kept his old ability as the basekit and added the strike as the addon so then they can buff Slaughtering strike occasionally instead of potentially reworking his entire power again 😭

Would be very interesting to see where they take Myers after all the feedback the community is giving them cause Honestly hopefully they see we don't like Slaughtering Strike and need changes 😭🙏

100% I hope they make his Fragrant Tuft of Hair addon basekit again and make Slaughtering Strike the addon instead. 🥹🙏

I dont like the strike. You dont like the strike. There are however people out there, that really enjoy dash-based powers. BHVR has, very obviously, catered to these people for a majority of recents killer powers and reworks, as many of them feature a dash-based mechanic.
Sadly, this gets old fast for me personally. Some killers just dont fit that mold that they try to squeeze them in and i think Myers is one of them.0 -
After playing a few more games with the new Myers I have grown to like him. There are a lot of ways to play him. You can still play as old Myers with fragrant tuft of hair. I love the ability to switch between stalker and pursuer modes. On indoor maps, being able to switch and become undetectable is great. Slaughtering strike also isn't that bad. I think it could use a few tweaks but overall it is fun.

Terror radius was nerfed so he is easier to prerun and lost his stealth (if we dont count that you can stealth around on indoor maps but it has its limits and most maps are open plus he is slower now by 5% in exchange for normal lunge). Slaughtering strike is bad he slows too much when he is charging it and reduced turn rate is terrible to deal with even billy has more room to turn or blight and they are both very strong killers on top of every tierlist for reason not to mention oni has more room to get that hit than now low b-tier mayers. Strike speed is slow, very slow which makes it easy to react and survivor has huge room for distance even more against mayers than against buffed pig and thats not her main power. Biggest and most harsh nerf strike has is the ability to get fast down like he could with tier two 99 and then get behind survivor and get tier 3 fast and get that instadown simular to ghostface but now you have big slowdown for no reason and on top of that cooldown after breaking something or missing with strike is quite big so I dont know why he has to wait 6 seconds to try agian, compare it to oni if he breaks palett or missis has he have to wait x seconds to do it again after action of break or miss cooldown, I dont think he has to.

I really enjoy dash based powers that are reliable. For example, if I perfectly aim Blight’s dash, then I get a hit.
Unreliable dash based powers are unenjoyable, even if they include a dash. Because if I perfectly aim a dash, it should guarantee a hit. And if a survivor can dodge a dash on reaction, that means the dash is useless and the killer would be better off doing a M1 lunge instead.
This was the reason why PTB Krause was absolute garbage. Her PTB dash was so unreliable that bots would perfectly dodge it on reaction.
1 -
I agree the slowdown is bad when triggering slaughtering strike. I thought it was a glitch at first. They should remove the slowdown.

But guaranteed hits are bad as well imo. The survivor experience has to be considered as well and nobody likes to have 0 agency.
The possibility to avoid a hit should be there. Look at demo for example. There are many situations, where the shred can possibly hit the survivor and it comes down to a mindgame whether or not the hit lands. Will the survivor take a step to the right/left? Will they just run straight?
Obviously demo cannot even get a hit in many situations, but that is besides the point im trying to make.
Edit: when did I talk about how good or bad Myers's dash was? My post was about dash based powers in general and how giving every new killer / reworked killer one makes killers overall less unique.2 -
Slaughtering Strike just takes some time to get used to, its absolutely not weak at all to anyone who is willing to invest some time into learning it.I see so many Myers right now as Survivor failing to use Slaughtering Strike and mostly they just dont use it at all. But they should its really strong, have a little faith, be creative, Stab Meg Thomas in the face.
The Slowdown when triggering Evil Within Mode is to give Survivors fair distance, Why? because we are playing a fair videogame. You guys are trying to T3 Bomb people still and no BHVR changed that cause it was bloody unfair to go against.

Myers shouldn't go back to a boring brainless killer with no power, just buff slaughtering strike
0 -
This is a short ranged melee attack, so it should absolutely be guaranteed if aimed perfectly throughout the entire attack.
Again, a short ranged melee attack is ABSOLUTELY USELESS if it's not reliable, because the killer would always be better off just using a regular M1 lunge instead.
There are enough killers that can guarantee hits with their dash abilities, that there's absolutely zero reason to ever play a killer with an unreliable special ability.
