9.2.1 did not fix the issues with Krasue.
so not only did they reduce the amount of counter play. There is in this patch by reducing the maximum amount of glowing mushrooms to 6. But they didn’t address the actual problems with the killer. She gets way too many free hits. She can instantly use her basic attack after regurgitate, she can instantly use intestinal whip after using headlong flight, she has aim assist on the ricochet for regurgitate, she’s really good at tunneling since her infection stays after being hooked, she can still hit through pallets, and now her infection is going to be even more oppressive thanks to being a lot less counter play. Devs really just made her even worse to play against. Please please stop looking at data and actually listen to people when it comes to balancing killers like this. Not saying it’s bad to look at data because yes, it can show you a lot. It never shows the whole picture. Take a killer like nurse and trapper for example from what we’ve seen data nurse tends to have a lower kill while trapper is normally much higher than her. This is mainly because of a few things. In the case of trapper, his kill rate is normally pretty good because he’s picked up by newer players who will obviously go against newer survivors. And also even if we’re not looking at that, the basement is still a really good strategy for trapper for securing kills but I’m telling you if you take those two things away and his kill rate will plummet. And on the opposite end nurse tends to have lower kill rates because she’s a hard killer to learn which tends to have more survivors escaping more frequently, but if you look at the player base that actually knows how to play nurse you can see how often she will often dominate matches. So please. I think I speak for everyone when I say Just listen.

BHVR has said there are more changes coming in the next hotfix, because they didn't have time to put everything into this one.
11 -
They said that the first HF changes wouldn't be that substantial due to the limited time to get it certified.
Hot fix 2 is where there's apparently more substantial changes to her which is next week. I was hoping that the infection on hook disappearing was there in HF1, though.

Well, that’s helpful information to keep in mind

I just hope that the second bugfix is so stacked with nerfs for her, I wanna seeeeee.
-7 -
maybe not stacked but rather just targeting the main issues I’d like to see
7 -
Given these… "nerfs", prolly see Infection removed on hook and insta M1 gone next hotfix, though this change:
Decreased the time during which Intestinal Whip ignores obstructions to 0.35 seconds (was 0.6).
Prolly means that she cant hit over pallets with the whip AS consistently as she did before, and a nerf to her hug tech i think?
would need to see it in action, but if sizable thats an okayish nerf to her chase at loops.

Glad that they listened to one of those changes☺️

probably but I will have to test that for myself

As everyone on this thread has already said, this Bugfix patch is the first of two for Krasue - there's some more minor fixes in this one, but the ones that should be more impactful are included in the second Bugfix Patch which should be next week.
Unfortunately, there's only a very short time after release before this first patch has to be locked in so there is not time to get everything in the patch, get it tested, certified etc. That's why we do two Bugfix Patches after a release.

- But why reduce the maximum number of mushrooms? Don't tell me that mushrooms are "too strong" against poor Krasue, because I'm really laughing.🤣
18 -
sure, but whats the point of buffing her with the first half?
8 -
Honestly it would better if they just didn't touch mushrooms from PTB at all
-1 -
don’t worry, we understand that the Krasue is too strong and has minimal counter play, so in this patch, we decided to reduce the counter play

I second that

Watching Otz rn:
Pallet Vault Nerf is Very noticeable, survivors can reach another loop or tile if she vaults (Depends on whats nearby), but its noticeable enough that survivors can actually reach another tile now.
Pallet Stun plus vault, Survivors can make quite a bit of distance now with both nerfs.
Intentinal Whip Change also decently noticeably, Krasue needs to start from the right angle or risks a miss, actually does implement some depth to her now, cant just slide and get a free hit now, actually have to get hits from the right angle. Shack might be more safe now.
Hes only testing against bots, will want to see him against actual players, but nerfs are actually noticeable on her, Survivors can bring her on a longer chase, espically on safer pallets.
Still think shes really, really strong and needs more nerfs (Insta M1 and Infection removal on hook), but they actually did give her noticeable nerfs
(Also Superior Anatomy doesnt work on her head form lol)

Good thing this is step one then.

BHVR says a lot of things about 'planned' updates and then either nothing happens or does the opposite of what everybody expects. Don't hold your breath for anything more than like "Added a .5 second delay after Regurgitate before basic attacking" and then you're ######### out of luck with Kaneki 2.0 for the next 18 months.

see ya next week, then

The thing with the mushrooms is also the one thing I cannot really wrap my brain around. It feels weird and I don't really think she needs this "buff".
The rest of the changes seem ok.
But.
The main issues to me are and were:
- Unhooked survivors keep Leeched I, they should make it work like Wesker's infection. The way it works now it just screams hard tunneling all over the place.
- It does not seem that they fixed the issue that head form can basically move her head up or down while picking up to make flashlight saves impossible.
7 -
If it worked like Wesker, then an unhook would revert to 1%, and the leeched meter would automatically (slowly) rise to 100%.
-4 -
This mindset is so toxic
-6 -
Please do not go so far as to put her in the bin with Chucky, or worse, skull merchant. This is my biggest concern
-4 -
I used to main Skully I really don’t want to see another killer die.

i hope the nerfs on the second hotfix wont make her like an npc killer. they can make her strong and fun with clear weaknesses like wesker or they can turn her into a joke. the kit itself isnt designed problematically imo

So based on the reduction in the number of active mushrooms, is the intent behind the leaching mechanic that it mainly be used in active chase and not something to really go out of your way to try and apply to more than one survivor at a time?
That's kind of how I've been playing her but I'm curious if that's the intent. Like the whole broken mechanic is kind of a 'nice when it happens' thing but not really not something to shoot for intentionally.
Also, were her vaults slower than base killer vaults on the PTB? Normal mode vaults are 1.7, yeah? Granted that's just windows. Another .3 seconds and it would be more worth it to just destroy the pallet depending on how the loop is going and what form you're in originally.
-1 -
I know.
But that still would be much much better than it is right now. I also do not think a complete reset or deletion of Leeched when hooking someone is necessary.
