BHVR Has a Knee Jerk Overreaction Problem Lately
I get that they're trying to be proactive, but they're so out of touch that they're basically throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. When something doesn't stick, they instantly go nuclear on it and make things even worse.
Fog vials released with several issues (spam, large strength difference between maps) and what do they do? Double nerf them into the ground so they do nothing except on the maps where they're the most effective like dead dawg saloon AND you only get 2 uses. They didn't need both nerfs. They needed to be fixed to have a constant effect on visibility regardless of a map and be given a limited number of charges. Now them and all of their addons are bloodweb bloat, like we needed more of that.
Anti tunnel system on the PTB favors survivors much too heavily? What do they do, completely strip it away while leaving in several nerfs/buffs that were meant to go along with it leaving the game in a worse state overall. The anti tunnel on PTB was fixable. Literally just scrap the penalty for killing the most recently hooked survivor. Take the penalty for killing with too few hooks and either A) change it to be based on generator progress or B) reduce the number of hooks so that it only targets extreme tunelling. Then they can keep all the other buffs like semi basekit OTR and delayed hook notifications as well as the killer no tunnel incentives like basekit BBQ and pop. Right now tunelling is even better because of the OTR nerfs. Edit: also scrap the incentives being different for different killers, the devs can't even balance killers with the amount of variiables they have currently and you want to add even more? If these incentives are too strong on the top killers that means the top killers need to be nerfed
The anti slug system wasn't even that bad, 90 seconds slug time is quite a bit of time before it activates, all they had to do was revert the basekit crawl speed increase. Now slugging is better because of the tenacity nerf.
Edit: And they're probably gonna do the same thing to Krasue (not that she doesn't need a nerf, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they murdered her), however I won't make judgements on something that hasn't happened yet.

I honestly hope they have some kind of change lined up for Fog Vials soon. A lot of people were really unhappy with the nerfs.

I'm still waiting for the phase 1 stuff to be fixed. The AFK crows got nerfed into uselessness, and Go Next was nerfed so badly that a lot of people are still ragequitting for selfish petty reasons.

The go next stuff did work and the afk crow stuff was never needed in the first place.

I‘m still….. They release a cool and useful item only to nerf it into uselessness.

Neither of those is actually true.
There are still way too many people ragequitting, and people have claimed it's because the penalties are way too light.
And excessive hiding is officially considered to be problematic survivor behavior, and should be taken with the same seriousness as things like camping, tunneling, and slugging.

Who officially called hiding a problem? Just search for them or equip perks if you have such a problem with it. As for ragequitting, you can‘t solve that people will quit when they don’t want to play. The go next reduction tried to solve people killing themself on hook, which it did archive.

The phase 1 changes including anti-hiding and anti-ragequitting, declared them both as problems.

They declared hiding as not a problem by keeping it the way it is. It was also not called anti ragequitting it was called anti go next, which refers to the action of survivors killing themselves on hook.

Yeah they just don't have a vision of what they want the game to be like, and it's just a mess rn because fo it.

We were never told the anti-hiding mechanic has been finalized, and it still might be a work in progress.
Also, Go Next involves a lot more than survivors just manipulating button presses while on hook. It’s also a rework of how the penalties functioned.

Actions speak louder than words. By not addressing the hiding they say….
They addressed everything they could about go next. There isn‘t much more they can do and that they have to do.

The Go Next penalties can be increased.
The Go Next detection can be improved.BHVR absolutely did not address everything they could. The current implementation was a good start, but it obviously needs to be better due to the fact that so many people don’t take it seriously. And that is mostly because the penalties aren’t harsh enough .

I think they've always been this way. Regardless of what we're told, the Hag situation still happened. Then later on, right as they were letting 6.1.0 stew and they said they wouldn't make knee jerk reactions, we had the drama around Mettle Of Man and they had to be forced to revert it. They habitually seem to let the wrong things fester while fixing what isn't broken alongside it. It's what keeps the game at this one step forward, two steps back pace. At least in my opinion.
