Will endgame chat be added to console?

Lowkey, I think post-game chat does more harm than good and what's being said there isn't usually worth reading.
But I suppose if we want more parity between PC and console it makes sense to give them chat.

Spoiler alert: It's nothing you want to read anyway
But I don't care, so long as I have the option to hide it like I do on PC. Every once in a while I'll open the chat up for a second just to remind myself why I have it hidden, and it usually does just that

It's something you really don't want. Turn it off on my end almost a year ago and left it off ever since. Survivor player base toxic as hell throwing all the slurs and threats your way however you play. Doesn't matter if you intentionally tunneled someone out or not they will complain about every little thing.

Expierience on both sides with the end game chat.
You win as the killer and you get 2 outcomes:
- Slurs
- All leave instant after abbandon
You lose as Killer:
- Slurs
- GG ez Baby Killer
You win as Survivor:
- Slurs
- Instant abbandon because the Killer don´t want slurs
You lose as Survivor:
- just que up for the next game
- Write your slurs before the game is over and que up for the next game

console players don’t get anything really I’m surprised they’re giving us different color scratch marks

Trust me not having the Chat is a good thing 99% of the time it's just toxicity

Couldn't write a better synthesis of what postgame chat is 🤣
I really wonder why i left the chat open sometimes. There is almost nothing constructive about the system.

I'm pretty happy without it. It seems like a huge amount of the negativity in this game revolves around end game chat, which is probably why I don't feel nearly as bitter and jaded about the community as others. Console players live in a land of ignorant bliss.

Hell to the no. Keep that cesspit far far away 🤮

It should be eliminated from PC version of the game, not added to console. End-game chat is by far the biggest source of toxicity in this game. No good will come of expanding that to other platforms.

The problem is people don´t want change, so it seems most of the time, because always someone comes out of the deepest pit of hell and says: Well actually i found the love of my life in endgame chat and one killer was so kind after i teabagged him at the gate that he gave me his credit card number.

it may as well exist. Ragers on your platform will message you regardless.

if it wasnt for post game chat on pc i would have stopped playing long ago. playing on console can feel like your playing with bots, theres no sense of humans playing the game at all… you play a match, match ends, next match. it boring and not what i expect from a multiplayer game. play a match of custom and then play a match on console v real people, it feels pretty much the same.
True there are a lot of toxic comments so if your easily offended then its best to turn chat off but for people with thick skin, i think post game chat is great and add a much needed feel of playing with actual people and something i wish console had access to.

I know I’m in the minority but I’d like if we could all chat together.

Problem is there is no chatting at all.
The defeated side just leaves while the other tries to put as many insults into the chat as they can.

That's actually better that those messages are contained and dealt with by MS and Sony on their own respective platforms since they will ban any type of private chat harassment. They're much, much more strict in issuing suspensions/bans for infractions of the rules than BHVR in that regard, and ragers will lose far more greater in that respect than just access to DBD account & multiplayer functions when it's coming from the big dogs themselves.

Honestly, a good 60-70% of people I try to send friendly messages to have their messaging restricted. It's pretty rare I get anything either, like maybe once every 200 matches.

Hopefully some day
To those who say they dont want it, you can literally turn it off and your experience stays the exact same. Let others make the decision if they want it on.
Personally Ive met some awesome people throughout the years and have even met some in person despite being outside my country. Sure you get a bad apple every now and then, but its really not as bad as some people make it seem.

Trust me, you don't want it.
It is mostly negative, unless you as a player go out of the normal way of playing to have some silly fun.
Like these examples, after playing Scratched Mirror1 -
Yeah, but you can block messaging from non-friends, and as has been mentioned, if someone says something really awful in e direct message on PSN/XBOX, they're risking a lot.
Or in the case of solo survs, the defeated side cannibalizing themselves with blame.
The last time if looked at post game chat, I was getting roasted by one of my potato teammates for only having been hooked once (apparently for not taking more aggro even though I had 10K boldness points) before I died on a suicide mission to save someone else in the EGC when I could have easily walked out a gate.
Ad the person was the first to die and waited for like 5 minutes to say it.
I mean there's just no winning with some people, and it's better to just not subject yourself to it.

Yeahhhhh as much as I always strive for positivity and try to be the nice guy on the forums and such since I started posting. Believe me when I say you guys do NOT want post game chat, even pre game chat. I close mine before and after the game because the toxicity is beyond control right now. Lol

everyone talking about how toxic the endgame chat is and whatnot but im just really nosey 😭 i also enjoy the beef

People are always polite whenever I use the chat on HellDivers 2. I've never had any problems with toxicity. Honestly, some PC gamers like to gas themselves up, but I think the PC community is easily the most toxic out of PS5/XBOX/Switch. Like whenever I browse the Steam forums it's just people whining about "wokeness".

I wouldn't mind post game chat for console players at all. Give everyone post game chat.
But also remove the "hide" icon on the chat screen, and instead go all in on removing chat for players that don't want the feature by adding an option in the settings to completely disable chat entirely. Most other multiplayer games have it, and it's not just hiding the chatbox.
Players that had chat disabled would even have a little "no chat" icon show up on the post game screen next to their name so everyone knew that this player doesn't even have access to chat at all and will never see your message.
That would be great because then people wouldn't need to waste their time waiting for someone only for them never to see their message. Even right now, if someone has a globe, you can't be sure if they're a console player with no post game chat or an epic games player that can see chat, so having a "no chat" icon for anyone that has post game chat disabled would be nice.
