Bring back the old Leaver System

May I ask your reasoning?
From my perspective this new system seems better at deterring people from DCing a lot.

And the old system wasn't? It already took away a whole grade and you had to wait a full day to reset the penalties.

Well, if they're both good at it, there's not really much of a reason to care which one we keep.
What don't you like about the new system?

What if you just played out the match that you agreed to take part in?

The play 20 matches thing they ripped out of Overwatch's own horrible penalty system

Anything in particular about that you find objectionable…?

In my opinion, it's had no distinctly positive impact on the game overall. It's more of a humiliation ritual that is more likely to affect the queue, so it's less effective.

Only people upset about the new system are those affected by the new system. Mainly those that DC their last game of the day to start fresh the next.

The having to play 20 games. It seems abit much.

only if your internet runs on a toaster or you're playing from one of the more disadvantaged areas like Africa.

I can tell you what I don't like about the new system. It's a common argument that people who ragequit frequently should step away from the game. But this penalty system doesn't encourage that at all. Rather, it does the opposite; it encourages them to keep on queuing up and risk encountering even more of the frustrating things, leading to even more frustration. So with this system, you're damned if you play, or damned if you don't.

100%. 20 trials is no small feat and I also find it interesting that every set of challenges we get these days require playing a set amount of trials (usually a high number of them as well).

No. This new system rewards people who play all their matches and dc rarely, while significantly punishing quitters more. It does not get better than that
3 -
How about you stop leaving games if you don't want to get punished?

If you ragequit and come back the next day, it's not like that next match is magically going to be less frustrating because your next DC is only going to cost you 5 mins instead of 2 hours.
If you're frustrated by 100% of your matches, then it's not cool for you to ruin 100% of your matches for the other players just because those instances happen to be spaced apart by some amount of time. You need to get your percentage down, regardless of time frame, by playing matches (at least occasionally) where you don't DC. The 20-match system accomplishes that.

No one is frustrated by 100% of their matches. If yesterday was a bad day, they should be able to come back the next day with a clean slate and try for a better day. But they can't do that if they're forced to carry yesterday's baggage.

I will say that your not wrong the only time I find the system a little annoying is if let's say a server crashes then boom your stuck with a DC penalty which can be annoying if for some reason you have garbage luck and the server just decides nah on you. I would say then there's a valid to be upset with the DC penalty is when the penalty happens by something out of your control but if your DCing constantly to the point you have a 24 hour penalty(which fun fact I got once because the servers were being very buggy for me that and my internet was bejng terrible) then the point isn't valid.

I will never understand the whole 'ruining other players game' survivors get a bot and when the killer quits the game ends and the survivor wins along with a quitter BP bonus.

I dunno about you, but I queued up to play with and against real people, and to see the game played out to its conclusion. I don’t want bots or ‘free wins’ I want to play DBD!
In what world is people rage quitting NOT ruining the game for others?
