Can dead man switch only activate when a survivor leave the gen by themselves?
Is awful when combined with pain res, now with the new Henry perks is gonna be worse. Gen block meta again. Just a boring experience.

oh no, how dare killers use their perks

The perk has 2 counters to reduce it's effectiveness, either let go of the generator before a survivor is hooked on pain res, then continue repairing it, optional choice if you think you can manage finishing it before killer comes. Or the other counter, move in advance to a 0% generator in order to tap it to waste the switch entirely

I think this is where some learning experience into the game comes in. As is correctly said in this thread - if you remotely suspect the killer has Pain Res for example, you're not going to be repairing a gen at the time of hooking as you let go a few seconds before if you're working on the most progressed generator at the time - which you can see from the HUD. I think making DMS only work if a survivor manually lets go of a generator could potentially weaken the perk too much.

With the new perk the killer has just another chance to trigger their DMS. Its going to be a lose-lose-situation for the survivor. Dont know why anyone could think this is fine.

The counter is still the same…Its not going to be that much harder by any means. Survivors still have a lot of other tools they can use to waste the killers time to compensate.

How is it the same counter? Tell me.

It is quite literally still same way of countering dms even with Vecna's new perk to explode gens at a distance. And to be fair, if the killer ends up in the 20m radius of the perk, the dms is likely gonna proc on that gen regardless (Unless ofc it is wasted on a 0% gen, idk why people don't counter dms like that I do and it is a waste of a slot perk with such counter) because the killer themselves is present to deny generator repair
