More TWD characters to the game? :)

So I've heard some rumors that Negan might be added to DBD as survivor? I have no idea if these are just rumors that are completely untrue, but if they are true, could we also get Carl Grimes please? ^^

I mean, who better to join the group than Rick's own son?? Also considering how important the character of Carl was to the entire series and how important he was in the comics as well, I think he would be a great addition to DBD among the other survivors!

Another much-requested TWD character is Carol Peletier, who we should also get to the game as well one day so Daryl can be with his bestie! xd Including how Carol also has a great importance in the series and great character development so I think she would also be a great addition!

Depends on the deal they made or how well the original made money. There is always the possibility they add new skins to the game if the licencer is willing to let them.

Yep, I hope they get permission to add more characters in the future! :)

There was a post about negan's actor reacting to someone asking if he was joining dbd with the rest of the characters. He said he usually doesnt say no if the whole gang is there, and dbd posted "guess its time for us to make some calls". So there is a 'possibility' to see negan later.

Im still waiting for them to fix Rick & Daryl's screams/grunts to closer soundalikes as they are so far from the actors voices that we even reported it as a bug that the placeholder voices carried over from the ptb, then they said it was intended.

As for Carl, he was there for the livestream failure and was in the bhvr studio doing a tour. So if he was going to be added it wouldve been around twd launch. But his character is apparently too young to join the game. And died at that age so they can't really "age him up" like with yoichi and eleven/dustin etc.

Yeah, that was the rumor I had also heard that Negan might be coming, but I just didn't know that DBD had responded to it. It would be nice if it was true and we would get more TWD characters!

Ooh, I didn't know that Dustin and Eleven were aged up and that's why me and my duo were very surprised that they were added to DBD and that's why I thought we would also have a chance to get Carl xd but as for Carl's character's fate it's true that in the TV series his character died which could make it difficult to bring him into the Entity's realm, but if we look at the comics Carl lives until the end of the series, so maybe it would still be possible that they could bring him into existence if they just mixed the story and plot a little with the comics? Okay, I know I sound really delusional right now xd but I think I'll still stick being delulu and I think that bringing him into the game as a character would be somehow manageable. The idea would also have been fun since Chandler has already collaborated with them a bit and was involved in the live as you said and later played with DBD YouTube streamers and seemed to have fun and like the game.

As for Daryl and Rick's voices, yeah! They really need a little improvement xd they're not that bad once you get used to them, but they're not the best either.

Yeah I remember that interaction with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It definitely sounded like he wasn’t against the idea, so Negan showing up later wouldn’t be too surprising. Especially since BHVR seems to like expanding existing licenses once they’re in the game.

The voice thing with Rick and Daryl is a bit disappointing though. I get that getting the actual actors might be difficult or expensive, but the difference is noticeable compared to characters where they did get close soundalikes or the real actors.

As for Carl, that’s kind of what I figured too. Since he died young in the show they can’t really justify bringing an older version of him the same way they did with characters like Yoichi or potentially Eleven/Dustin. It would probably feel weird lore-wise unless they pulled some alternate timeline version or something.

Still, I wouldn’t be shocked if BHVR keeps expanding The Walking Dead roster over time. There’s a lot of characters they could still pull from.
