killers have powers. what do we have? items. boring. survivors should ALL have their personalized innate passive OR active abilities that we can use. they dont have to be super powerful but small things to seperate survivors from just being skins and actually making having mains or playing different survs fun.

It would only cause some survivors to be played as their ability would be the best and would be way too much work to implement or balance when there is already 51 survivors and soon 52 in the game. Not even talking about all the legendary skins that change existing characters to others.

I feel a similar way. One of my personal hot takes would be to reserve at least one perk slot for one of their three teachables (you could still unlock them for your other Survivors of course, but you would have to use at least one of the Survivor's dedicated perks).

It might make playing a specific Survivor feel a bit more like a strategic choice and force players to be a bit more creative with their builds. It would also mean BHVR wouldn't be able to release a Survivor like Thalita with no decent perks ever again. All of her perks have been terrible for way too long now.

But I know the player base would riot at the idea, so I've never bothered to suggest it.

I used to pick at least one unique perk per Survivor and make a build around them. That was a lot of fun. But the game has devolved into such a boring state where you constantly have to think about gens and camping/tunneling/slugging so there's less play with the perks. Plus all the new perks are dull or just plain useless so that makes it harder.

2v8 shows this idea is still possible, but implementing it retroactively would be tricky.

i guarantee that, in practice, there'd be a small pool of optimal survivors and a sea of largely useless passives, hugely decreasing the variety of survivors played and even potentially harming BHVR's revenue stream as skin sales for survivors with bad passives crash.

there already is a massive pool of survivors not playing. there is NO variety. and there is NO variety in builds bcs all perks except like 10 are USELESS

even if you presume that what you said about perk viability is correct, what makes you think bhvr basically giving survivors one extra perk each would be any different?
