Where is Yun-Jins update? (Voice Lines and Lobby music)
Why hasn't Yun-Jin recieved anything this update, Tricksters VA is at the same agency no? Also both Trickster and Tae-Young talk to her, so why doesn't she talk??? Is there plans to make her talk at all, it seems like a huge oversight, this was the opportunnity to do so.
Also her lobby music is default too, it feels like she has been ignored.
Also can we please make the seoul socialite unlinked, there is literally no reason to gatekeep it anymore, the shorts would be nice to mix and match with so many of her outfits.

There are no plans to add voice lines to Yun Jin in this release - she has had her perks updated but we're not adding voice lines for the older characters.

Respectfully, why has Trickster recieved them then…? That is a clear contradiction.
People love these characters and would love to see them interact with those she has possible connections with.
If people are upset the older characters have voicelines, maybe add a toggle to turn them off, coz I know people would like that for the newer characters. It just feels really inconsistent to not reach for the same standard across all characters.15 -

He has much more though and new animations, new chase music, new voice lines in game.

I’m genuinely shocked at how Yun-jin has been completely sidelined in this PTB.
This is a revisit of the All-Kill chapter. A chapter that was built on TWO characters, not just Trickster. Yun-jin is literally half of what All-Kill is. And yet… she gets absolutely nothing.
Meanwhile, Trickster receives 90 new voice lines. They even went back to the same voice company to record them. Yun-jin’s voice actress is part of that same company and is still active. It would have been nice to keep her original actress and expand her presence.
Trickster now directly talks to Yun-jin in his new lines. He acknowledges her. But she doesn’t respond. Despite developers previously saying they’d be open to giving survivors more lines if the opportunity came up. If a sequel chapter to All-Kill isn’t an opportunity, then what is?
(Though, if giving Yun-jin new voice lines would require changing her voice actress, I’d rather she get none at all as she has one of the most entertaining voices in the game. But if that’s the reason, it should be communicated. Right now, it just feels like she was ignored.)
Kwon Tae-young also got unique lobby music. Yun-jin, the literal music producer of Mightee One, did not. How does that make sense? The producer of the entire idol brand doesn’t get themed music, but the idol does?
For a revisit that adds a new survivor and heavily upgrades Trickster, completely ignoring the original co-lead of All-Kill just feels disappointing. Yun-jin deserved better than being treated like a footnote in a story she helped create.

Okay hear me out, what if seeing Tae-Young' in a lobby then Yun-jin automatically does her check nails animation?
But yea its funny but he would basicly be some random forgettable contractor to her as far as we know.

In the nicest way possible, this is stupid. Trickster gets MORE voice lines and an entire new flair to his animations plus adjusted chase music through add-ons, so why shouldn't Yun-Jin get anything beyond the reason "We're just not adding voice lines for older characters"? Is it because she isn't licensed like the original Resident Evil or Stranger Things characters?

This statement is questionable. If that’s the case, why were Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan allowed to have voice lines if the original release had them as muted characters?
Having special cases depending on whether they’re original or licensed characters is a lame excuse, but I suppose that’s what’s being implied by pervious actions.3 -

It makes zero sense not to give Yun-Jin anything while Trickster gets new 90+ voice lines, new menu animation intro and new chase music with S rank and addons, dbd mobile skin and a MiNA as a potential legendary skin. I am sorry but there was no reason to neglect Yun-Jin while Trickster should have fitted into not giving older characters voice lines.

And on top of that: Yun-Jin is still relevant to the sequel chapter. She is acknowledged in some of Tae's cosmetics, and both he and trickster has voice lines towards her. So now I ask: Whats the excuse here?

The way I see it, the ones responsible for updating this old chapter saw it as an opportunity to add more content to the all kill chapter and for some reason thought if they added voicelines to an old survivor then the community would be in an uproar asking when all the others are being done. So here we are hammering Mandy and the others like it was their fault while they are just here to deliver our feedback to the ones who do make the changes. (please add Shanoa as a legendary skin for Trevor Belmont) One way they can look at it is its not about updating all the og survivors to have voicelines, its about updating this 1 specific chapter as a whole and only Yun Jin since her chapters killer just happen to be due for a rework / overhaul / new map / new content etc. They don't have to add lines to alllllll the characters, just update Yun Jin to the same level that Trickster and Kwan Tae-Young are at since the intention was to give the whole chapter an update. And it seems her voice actress is available for the work with the company being contacted recently. (Please add Shanoa as a legendary skin for Trevor Belmont) If they were to add her lines its understandable it wouldnt be with the chapter release as theyd have to schedule things and make calls and spend time making the lines and putting them in the game which wasnt planned for so far. But perhaps it can be added later on whenever its ready if everything works out and all parties agree. (Please add Shanoa as a legendary skin for Trevor Belmont)

Okay but they literally did this for the RE and ST survivors. (And neither Leon or Steve got a model rework) Not to mention... They added french VA for Taurie and Houndmaster on the same PTB so there is no excuse here.

And given that they are already giving older character french voice lines (Both original and licensed) and given licensed characters voice lines even if they didnt have them. There is already an uproar for giving old characters voice lines. Speciallly since they literally gave trickster 90 voice lines.

I meant people would be asking when dwight and meg and them would be getting lines. Id asume licensing is different due to the license holders providing the ok to update them with voice lines and for all we know it couldve been th license holders ideas anyway. Its also 1 small group of characters at a time and they usualy have replaces voice actors. whereas the older orignal survivors would be overhauling half the entire survivor roster and u cant find all their actors again itd take too much effort, and probably annoy too many people with all the new voice actor replacements. In yun jins case however it might be much easier since shes available, and they have a reason why they can go ahead with her specificly.
But long story short, they now know we are angry about Yun Jin not being updated too, so lets see if they can take the feedback and do something constructive with it and most importantly (please add Shanoa as a legendary skin for Trevor Belmont)

In regards to the hammering Mandy about this, it is literally her job to convey this feedback to the team - anything I or anyone says here about what we deem poor decisions is not directed at Mandy or any other community manager personally, yes some people can get angry and take it out on them (the unfortunate killswitch controversy last year being an example) but if a decision makes players unhappy as the lack of ANYTHING for Yun-Jin has for some, Mandy and her team are the only way of conveying that disappointment from us to those who make these decisions. Though I disagree with a lot of what she has to be the one to communicate to us, I have nothing but respect for Mandy.
As for them not planning to give her any at all, it goes against an answer to a reddit question previously stating that they would love to give old survivors new voicelines if given the chance, but as Cote said doing it for every survivor would be a huge undertaking (understandable from both a development and financial perspective). One can only imagine then that something such as a sequel to an original chapter is the perfect opportunity to do something like this, but this sudden change in attitude has come out of nowhere apparently. After saying one thing and then later going no we never planned to do that is either them not thinking ahead that people might get disappointed, or a lack of proper communication on this idea given one said yeah we would love to, and now it is no we have zero plans at all to do so. It reminds me of the complete confusion over if Fallen Refuge would be a tile for Garden of Joy randomly, or only if a Walking Dead character was in the trial, and then it suddenly just became its own mediocre map.

Could you pass the feedback to the team that the community want to see/hear voice lines for Yun-Jin, please. I love Yun-Jin and the comeback of All-Kill but giving her nothing is really disappointing. Since the Pinhead release, more and more killers and survivors get voice lines because the majority of the community likes it and would be nice to see voice lines for older characters.

In regards to adding french voice lines they are not a means of adding new voice acting to characters that currently don't speak. All the french voice lines are for translation purposes only, and on characters that alredy have english voice lines, so that has nothing to do with making Yun Jin have french voice lines when she hasnt even spoken Korean yet. Or even someone like dwight who doesnt have english lines either.
Infact they dont even seem to announce when a new french voice is added its just a gradual translation tool of u have french mode on.(please add Shanoa as a legendary skin for Trevor Belmont).
But anyway hopefully they can understand now why it makes more sense to give her new lines with the rest of her chapter characters rather than leave her as is.

Not everyone wants voice lines added to characters they have played for years. I like that some characters have lines but don't want to hear them all the time in game.
Also, when they add voice lines they usually redo all the original character sounds and we end up with Steve situations where he loses his iconic scream. A lot of players gravitate toward characters based on the way they sound and would be put off if the character got revoiced in a way they found annoying.

I get that, and I wouldn’t want her revoiced either. If adding lines meant redoing all her original sounds or changing her actress, I’d be completely against it. Yun-jin’s voice is honestly one of my favorites in the game, it’s so unique and recognizable, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
The only reason I even wanted new lines is because Trickster got so many, and they used the same voice company where her actress is still active. That’s why it feels odd to me. But not at the cost of changing her voice.

that's another thing that would likely need to be reviewed, IF voicelines were added, it would likely be by a different VA - how would players feel about that, is the trade-off worth it etc

Well considering Stranger Things recasted Steve, Nancy and Jonathan. People have generally loved their new voices. (Minus the Stevegull mains) But you guys also got the original voice of trickster to record new voice lines, so why not go for Yun-Jin's VA to record lines? She is already a voice actress after all.

I think the reason people are being this loud about it is because we just saw Trickster receive a huge batch of new voice lines, and it was done through the same voice company Yun-jin’s actress is still part of. It showed that revisiting a chapter can mean expanding a character vocally when the original VA is still available.
Otherwise, I don’t think anyone is asking for a full redo of Yun-jin’s voice. In fact, most of us absolutely don’t want that. Her voice is iconic and very tied to her identity. The reaction is about seeing that it was possible for Trickster and wondering why the same recognition wasn’t extended to her.

Yeah I think preferably they get her voice actress back to record voice lines (And let her share Tae's menu theme), people would be happy. To me it just reads that BHVR just thought Trickster is what made the entire All-Kill chapter beloved, when All-Kill is one of the few original chapters where both characters are beloved by the community.

Did y'all forget about Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Leon, Jill? They ALL got voice lines and a Theme.
Silent hill survive even got Pyramid head's theme.

Well his gameplay isnt. But people love his lore and personality. So like ignoring his gameplay. He is one of the most popular characters in DBD

That is true! As a horribly disgustedly educated person in DBD lore, I love his lore a lot. Yun-Jin and Trickster have the best lore in my opinion.
Yet people who actually play for the lore is the minority. People truthfully only care for the gameplay or skins. Hence why Trickster is so deemed as annoying and his player base. Popular because of skins is awesome, but a different story with people who only care about gameplay.
Also if we speak lore wise, Yun-Jin is still his story as well. The two are told side-by-side. I'm so invested in these characters that Yun-Jin getting nothing ruined the hype for this paragraph chapter.

I don't think that's "disgustingly educated" at all - I think that's bloody great frankly! I love to see the different aspects that players enjoy about the game, and I think whilst Lore is considered a bit niche by some, there's a large group of people that do enjoy the Lore of the characters within the game.
