Are we fr about solo queue
So.... just started playing the new chapter and I love the update with the new Trickster, lyric video ect. Tried playing normal games (the one without Trickster's map)... why has solo queue gotten more horrendous??
• 1st game - Completely fine, had Spirit
• 2nd game - Teammates decided to hand themselves over to Myers within 5 mins of match and one of them was randomly slugged AND TRIED TO BEFRIEND THE KILLER AND STILL DIED
• 3rd game - Was okay, had Weskie (forgot to mention, did tunnel quite a bit)
• 4th game - Everyone was getting slugged the entire game FOR NO REASON by The Houndmaster
Honestly solo queue feels like it's gotten worse... seriously has the mmr shifted at all by any chance when the update was released? And also has there been an uprising of slugging or something? I just wanna play some survivor games man... 😔

Ok so you have two matches that are fine and two that have something to go wrong how does this correlate of solo queue being worse? Are you expecting all matches to be some how ok? Sometimes ######### happens and its normal.

Because solo queue just sucks and feels like it's gotten worse...

Fair enough. Feels like it's gotten worse tho.

I have not noticed anything wrong in it and I play solo all the time.

You're probably very lucky and have good games (and I'm jealous). But kid you not, I'm getting the exact opposite and the games are terrible.
-1 -
No I have matches with different results and thats normal you don't win all of them.

I'm not bothered about winning or losing, I'm more bothered when either your teammates don't play properly and decide to hand themselves to the killer, you end up becoming the target for most of the match, OR you just get slugged for the vast majority of the match. Like as you said, all games have different results. But what I mean is the fact that my games have been terrible.

You think that does not happen to people who play SWF they have the same chance of getting killers who do those tactics as all the rest.
-2 -
Difference with solo queue and swf, you can actually communicate in an swf whereas in solo queue you cannot. And also I find less killers who would slug or tunnel when in an swf whereas in solo queue, it's common.
1 -
They don't know who is SWF and who isn't so they do it to both.
-1 -
That is not what I'm trying to say. What I'm trying to say is that I get horrendous survivors or horrible killers in solo queue, yet my games are actually alright in a swf. I've never mentioned swf in this post. If it was an issue, it would've been mentioned.

I promise you I get tunneling, camping, and slugging in my SWF matches every time I play in a party. There's no difference except possible attempts to counter, and those can happen in solo too.
Survivor, as a whole, has been in a particularly bad spot for me personally for the last few months. Half of it is bad teammates, the other half is how killers decide to act. I'm playing survivor less and less. I have about 300 killer matches for the last 30 days and have been iri 1 for several days now. I'm not even at half that amount for survivor. BHVR doesn't want to help the role and the players won't self-regulate, so playing killer is the more appealing option.

I completely agree and believe you. And fair enough, I do feel like everyone has different games. I just seem to be unlucky currently. I'm not looking for arguements, mainly validation as I want to know if I'm alone in this or not. And being honest, I'll most likely swap to killer as you suggested because the survivor role is also becoming a bad spot for me too.

If you want validation of course there is several people who think solo queue is the worst. There is like thread about it every month but in the end there is also those like me who say there is nothing different in solo or SWF on what kind of killer tactics killers use. People play how they want and thats how its going to be always.
Of course this is something you might have heard before but if you are feeling like you don't enjoy playing the game then maybe you need to take a break and play some other games. I take breaks of this game time to time myself.

Killer has really been a much better experience for me lately. I have full agency and comeback potential, and I get to decide the vibe of the match. I can go hard or soft, give hatch or not, meme or be serious. That agency is lacking in survivor, where I'm getting hit on hook or humped or bled out and there's nothing i can do. I feel like the toxicity and nastiness from a lot of killer players has gotten steadily worse since the failed anti-cheese ptbs, as has the tendency to give up from survivors, and I'm losing my patience for other people's bad behavior controlling what sort if time I'll have.
Matchmaking has been exceptionally wonky too. When I pay surv, every other or third killer is a p100 yet my teammates have 200 hours.

Valid statement. I am currently taking a break as you're reading this, mainly I was looking to see if anyone else was experiencing the same thing as me. That's all. At the end of the day, we all get different games as you said.

Like it depends on the game session. I can have really annoying matches where I get tunnelers, campers, teammates making really bad choices etc., then I can have sessions where everything goes totally smoothly and I can have mixes of both in one. Its a flip of a coin as this is a game with four other players involved and you don't know what they are all playing the game for.

Totally agree. Feels like a game of roulette. I don't know if this game will go well or it will go horribly. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow!

That's very true about the agency between the survivors and the killers. I'm also going to give killer a try, thank you for the suggestion!! Honestly I feel like playing something other than survivor for now haha

I've always bounced back and forth with this game. Started as an only-killer player, switched to mostly survivor for a bit, got to about 50-50 and now I'm steering back towards killer. It's a lot more interesting if you switch it up. The nice thing about this game is that if you don't like the state of one role there's a whole different one available.

at this point soloq feels like ur there to feed killer mains egos by giving them free wins.

slugging counters fastrack which recently got buffed.

Solo players can't be helped in any way. You'll either improve them to the level of SWF via communication, while worsening the situation for killers, which will also make things even better for SWFs. I've already given up on playing soloQ trials, because they're mostly filled with people who don't care about anything. Once every few dozen trials, you might find someone who's reasonable and understands the game. Also, you can play SWF without communication, the main thing is understanding the game and having a common goal. People in solo trials usually have their own goals: some came to loot totems, others to open chests, etc. So there's no point in playing solo. On the other hand, I hate any SWF as a killer, because there's this understanding that people came with a common goal, not to mess around
Improving conditions for people who simply don't want anything is the wrong way to go, as it hurts those who invest their time and are genuinely interested in the game

From my experience on both sides, on killers since they all ha e their own, ill play something like chucky and just obliterate survivors with a stealth build (not needing to slug or tunnel or anything they just kept going down pretty fast). And then ill play my main xeno which is argueably more deadly in chase and then it noticeable gens fly faster than 12 hookstates so its a much harder experience just because of the people im against.
Meanwhile with survivor you either get the killer that doesnt try to tunnel and then most gens get done and the gates and either 0-2 die to altruism. Or u get the sluggers/tunnelers/campers and they just win most of the time.
So mmr aside it depends on what the killer player feels like doing even in higher mmr, and on killer it depends on how often you play that one and how successful you are usually
