Executioner/Pyramid head Rites of judgement speed buff

During his addon rework his movement speed when dragging the knife got nerfed from 4.4 m/s to 4.2 m/s. Which on paper seemed fair because his new addons allowed his power to reach much farther along with some basekit buffs.

In practice the nerf just makes him feel more clunky and slow which has always been his biggest weakness even before the nerf. When you drag the knife while chasing survivors you barely catch up like you used to with 4.4 speed and its way harder to hit some shots because of that. Even if you don't go for shots and try to zone it feels pretty bad too and way more difficult than previously. I don't really understand why this change was made because it feels pretty boring for both sides to be completely honest. It just encourages survivors to hold W and keep running even more than before while also discourages the killer from placing trails on the ground while chasing a survivor. It makes the optimal way to play this killer less fun as it forces him to basically use his power less while in chase with a survivor unless close to a pallet/loop. He just doesn't catch up at all when holding the knife in the ground and lose soo much distance. It just feels like he is punished for trying to use his power in some scenarios.

The fix I suggest is just to revert the movement speed back to 4.4 m/s it will make the killer feel smoother overall and better to play. A compromise could be to revert back to the old basekit stats (rites of judgement duration, trails lifetime,) pre addon rework and buff the movement speed back to 4.4 m/s. Either of these options could work and make him feel more interactive for both sides.

Thanks for reading and I would gladly like to hear other opinions.

I don't own him but playing as a survivor against him, he seems quite op, every time we go up against him unless it's like a real newbie player we usually get smoked

I wouldn't say he is OP, though his chase power can be really strong while also being reaally hard to use. Definitely one of the hardest killers to play if not using any aura reads. Im not trying to say he's bad by any means it just feels worse to use him right now due to the current speed. Before this nerf he was completely fine and it wasnt very overpowering at all so this change would barely make him stronger in my opinion. Just a QoL change
