Pinhead

I only know of one if he’s even on the forums anymore. He rarely post.

As a current pinhead main. Yes we exist

He left possibly due to licence for the new hellraiser game due out. That's just a guess but it seems a bit sus that dbd loses pinhead around the time a new hellraiser game is being developed. Probably the same with the Halloween licence.
I have seen a few pinhead mains but not many, I just know he's a pain to go against soloq but swf can demolish him.

We can only speculate as to the exact reason why he left, but I'd imagine it is very likely related to the rights of the franchise changing hands. The US rights reverted back to the original creater Clive Barker some time ago, and he's making his own game with it — Hellraiser: Revival. After decades of the franchise being mishandled, I expect they'll be more selective about how they give the rights out.
Box logic refers to being able to triangulate the box's position based on where all the players are at the moment it spawns. The game attempts to spawn it a reasonable distance away from any of the players — both Survivors and the Killer — so that it's not immediately picked up and solved as soon as it appears. This means that if you have a rough idea of where all the Survivors are at the moment the box spawns on the map, you can make an educated guess as to its location.
For example, if the Killer is chasing one Survivor in the corner of the map, and knows that the other three are spread as follows, it's most likely that the box will have spawned in the unoccupied corner of the map — shaded in lime. This allows the Killer to find it, pick it up themselves, and initiate a Chain Hunt to bother the Survivors.
Even though Survivors can see the aura of the box, it can also be useful as a Survivor to be able to predict where the box will spawn so you can plan your movements or delegate duties more efficiently amongst yourselves. Obviously there's some randomness involved, so you can never predict with 100% accuracy. But box logic is more consistent than not.

Pinhead cant see the box aura right? it gives off a sound when your near it?

P100 Pinheads are the most common P100 Killers that I go against, no competition.
Granted, I'm only one player out of millions but he is without a doubt the most common P100 Killer for me.

dawg what servers are you in. ive never seen a Pinhead, much less a P100

NA East.

same servers as me, what the hell

Yeah, it makes a distinct electricity crackling noise.
There is one add-on — Chatterer's Tooth — that allows Pinhead to see the aura of the box, but it also removes the main benefit of Pinhead picking up the box. Instead of a Chain Hunt starting, he gets Undetectable for 25 seconds instead. But otherwise Pinhead can't see it.

It was because the license was bought by the other game company with exclusive rights. So because that Behavior lost the license. Exclusive rights are anyway idiotic when the new Hellraiser game is not really even competing with DBD as its a single player game. It also creates some bad blood in the horror game community when someone pulls rights from another game because they think that makes their game sell better. It usually has a opposite effect what I have experienced.
Not to mention in game space it would be better for the franchise to have as much different games out that noway even overlap and in reality the new game and DBD does not as one is single player story game and DBD is asym multiplayer game. Cosmetics are another where you should really just sell the rights to most things that ask. Its still money and visibility for a franchise that might not really be that visible currently.

do you think he might ever come back to DBD? i would like to get him, also i had no idea they made a hellraiser game
0 -
When the other game loses its exclusive rights they can try to get it back but most likely will take few years at least after the other game is released.
2 -
I see thats kinda lame
0 -
Yeah but that is how license companies operate there is no much sense in them. Some of them just sit on some licenses not giving anyone rights to use them so never making money of them.
2 -
i generally feel like they would make more money keeping PH in DBD then making their own game, is the game even good? or is it a dumpster fire like i heared
0 -
It does have Clive Barker involved to voice Pinhead so it might be good or it might be same as some other story driven horror games of recent years that were not that good and some really buggy.

i hope it was worth it honestly, i love Hellraiser. but i know that the game Myers was taken out for ended up being pretty bad from what i saw and heard
0 -
Oh is that released had not even heard anything about that one. Well hopefully it means we get him back faster.
1 -
i heard its out, and oh my god the amount of bad things ive heard about it. it was horrible from what i heard. could be wrong and it might be people saying its bad from what we see so far. but yeah Myers would be welcomed back with open arms

its not out till September, people just hate i guess

That's interesting. We're on the same server, but I only see Pinhead maybe once every 100 matches. They are usually p100s though, and some of the most obnoxious matches I get. But 30% of my killers are p100s so idk if that part's noteworthy.

Its the devs as they were the ones that created the Texas Chain Saw Massacre game and they could not stop trashing DBD as they seemed to blame it of their game not being good. They were nice first but then as the game did not become popular they started making snive comments and such. So people have no high hopes of the Halloween game because of them.

Well this osnt the end there are games like Friday 13 which ended or were highly supressed by licence problems. DBD survived because of licenses like mayers hold it and then pig from saw and freddy came and so on.
I play him sometimes but he is hard killer harder to use his chain then nurse and kinda same as netflix vecnas power but he gains way less from his chains then vecna from vines. He kinda must run addon to have more additional chains for spawn and his biggest flaw is that he breaks his chains by his character model so you must be very precise from which angel you chain survivor and from which side you push like chains can spawn badly and break instantly so not chain survivor who will vault window but chain him behind that window so chains wont break and that survivor gets slowed for longer, very hard and demanding killer but kinda still good kinda mid. Box knowledge is very important but hard to and needs info perks or great macro sence. I dont play him that much but sometimes I play him for few evenings just like freddy.
Its shame he isnt viable especialy because he cant get some small buffs he would need but I dont think he will return soon maybe when license will be viable the hame eill br near its end and few players will stay and play it so he wont be that needed as before hard to tell.0 -
clive barker isnt the one who voiced pinhead that "honour" goes to Doug Bradley. (who also voices him in DBD)

Sorry should have checked the name. My mistake trusted too much of my memory there. Clive Barker is the creator of Hellraiser my bad.

No worries! Happens to me too

The halloween game is just dbd but in Haddonfield pretty much, with like nothing to choose from, with a single player mode

plays with puzzle box

no…youve doomed us all!
1 -
Couldn't help myself. I regret nothing.
1 -
get some self control god damn it!
2 -
Lol no, the Halloween game is not dbd. In fact, it is Friday the 13th: The Game in Haddonfield.

I'm not currently a PH main or even user but there was a period where I used him a lot about 1-2 years ago. Basically, he's as good as the survivors you're up against. When playing against a team that's clearly not used to facing him, he absolutely stomps. But against an experienced team he is useless. There appears to be very little middle ground with him.

wow I'm actually jealous of you count. I may sound like a jerk who is trying to butter their own biscuit, but truly pinhead is my favourite killer to face alongside lich and unknown. however, my cenobites literally always disconnect.
my friends groan, grumble, wanna give up, go ugggh Pinhead... but I have to remind them like...you know you're playing with John Cenobite himself???
what makes pinhead rough is that he is merely Seeker of Pleasure #5, so as a self described seeker of pleasure we are at odds with each other. it's MY BOX and you can't have it! pinhead box logic is a double edged sword whenever another enjoyer comes along.
I wanna see more cenobites, man! I want them to torture me

this is where I would say the line, but I have already arrived at my destination thanks to Deerstalker!
if anyone in the 1v1 hatch game wants to bring the box home they're more than welcome
