If Stranger Things gets new content, do you think Billy has a chance of joining?
I know Billy isn't a good person, but I like his 80s look and I love Dacre Montgomery (the actor who plays Billy).
I think he could be a cool legendary skin for Steve or a legendary killer skin for Legion; it would be amazing to have him, especially if we could get a Max skin too.
My thought process for how he could work in DBD is that if he were a legendary survivor skin, he would be brought back from the moment he sacrificed himself for Eleven, but if Billy were a legendary killer skin, I would like it to be the version of him possessed by the Mind Flayer.

in the mall when they where fiting the proto hivemind. billy breaks free from the controll of the hivemind and protects the kids

i am all for billy being part of the game he is one of my favorite character of the show and Dacre di such an incredible performance especially when billy was possesed.
i would be cool with him being either a survivor or a killer skin but if he becomes a killer skin thats an instant buy even if i dont currently play that one is going to be my new main

Someone was working on a Billy mod before BHVR made that impossible. He'd be a great addition, but like Hopper, I'd prefer if he weren't a legendary. We need lifeguard Billy along with Scoops Ahoy Steve.
I don't wanna linger on it for too long, but people would be very strange for not liking Billy because he's an a-hole. Isn't that a running theme with at least half of the DBD cast now? 😵

I see a lot of people not wanting Billy in DBD because of the way he treats Lucas on the show. I agree with those people, and that's why I also suggested Billy as a Killer skin

Dwight literally drugs people on more than one occasion. 😭 The more flawed they are, the more they fit neatly into the realm in my opinion. Plus if we start gatekeeping stuff like that, then I don't get to have Mr. Scratch for Wake. 😝

I mean the lore of him entering the realm isn't too important. Bhvr were pretty skimpy with licenced character lore for being in the realm.
I wouldn't mind having billy added but there are way more ST characters I'd rather see added instead. Hopper, joyce, max, lucas, will. Hell even murray and yuri would pip billy in my preference. He's pretty far back in the queue for me.

As sexy as I find Dacre Montgomery with a mullet and moustache, I'm pretty sure the duffer brothers themselves explicitly confirmed that Billy was a racist. It would probably be best for BHVR to avoid incorporating him into the game.

well yes he acted racist but its highly debatable if he was a racist or simply emulated the racist behavior of father cause not doing so would have earned him even more physical abuse.
originally billy was supposed to be way more racist then what we got to see but Dacre being the gem of an actor he is worked so much on the character cause he really only playes characters he finds interesting and likes. and he absolutly refused to say the n word.
but billy being racist to whatever extend is not or better should not be of relevance if we look at the characters we already have.
we have bubba who is a canibal that tortured people and atleast in one movie he was a #########. we have freddy and its reboot freddy which means he have certified pdf in the game. we have wesker who is all kinds of fckt up including toture, enslavment and medical experiments. we have springtrap who is specifically a child killer and he likes it.
and thats just licensed killers. we have a bunch of unlicesed ones for this list too and while the survivor side naturally looks better we have tauri "ritual murder is my hobby" cain.
i would say a racist isnt that much of a problem.

The original script for season 2 had Billy saying racial slurs, I'm pretty sure that more than implies that he was written to be racist. Don't think it matters that he was influenced by his father.

he was written to be very racist which then got changed to have racist implications.
i do think the influence the parents have matters when we are talking about a child. because thats what billy is, he is not an adult he is around sixteen when we see him first in season two and is somewhere between seventeen and eightteen when he dies.
he did not had a chance to unlearn the racist behavior thought by his father. if he where an grown man that had all the chances in the world to see his behavior is wrong and to be better i would agree that the influence of his father would not matter

Out of curiosity and for debate's sake: when do we draw the line of influence having an impact on people's behaviour? A 17 year old has possibly had pretty much the same time as a 20 year old adult. And depending on the case, maybe a 17 year old has had much bigger chances to learn that a 30 year old.

that is a very good point.
of course we need to keep an eye on the personal situation. i personally would rather give a 20 year old the benefit of the doubt that he can still change that still lives in the abusive racist home then one that is already out of that place and in collage or whatever you do at that age for quite some time now. i really dont know what age you have in collage.
and in billys case for example he is not only still in the abusive house he is now also isolated in a small town and he is very much still a kid. but honestly in dont know why we consider anyone under atleast 25 to be actually an adult, between 18 and 25 they should count as trail adults or something xD

Yeah, it's kind of hard for me to draw a line without a psychological exploration and constant checks. We also can't underestimate the impact of external influence (not necessarily the household only) and the different experiences one individual may have gone through. It's not the same being corrected in a positive way, debating and exposing misplaced beliefs than being attacked and harassed. We humans are kind of complicated to read and treat.
