Totem & Survivor Spawn Changes
Its really disappointing to run a hex build and be on a map where every totem spawn is in the open. These changes aim to improve the problem of Hexes instantly getting taken out at the start of the match.
- Totems cannot spawn within LoS of a survivors spawn point
- Totems cannot spawn within LoS of a generator
- Totems cannot spawn within LoS of a hook
Or
- Make it so every hex perk has some sort of delayed activation either after a hook or when it comes into play.
- Totems cannot spawn within LoS of generators or hooks still.
These changes are relatively simple and aim to fix the problems of survivors instantly finding totems before they actually provide any value, which often can rend part of your build useless from the very start. These changes will simply make it so survivors have to move a bit further in order to cleanse these effects and make them more fair as a high risk high reward
Side note: Returning to the first point of "survivors spawn point" I have been running Lethal Pursuer and survivors will straight up not spawn nearby each other every so often. I will then look at the end of the match and see no shroud of separation.
Credit to @IareRubberDucky as I am just echoing what they pointed out in their fan chapter. Nonetheless great points were made, please refer to their chapter idea titled: Of Flesh And Mud: High Tide (A "Comeback" of Of Flesh And Mud) for more details.

i do agree that its really stupid how survs will spawn next to a hex 2 feet from them at the start and its removed before you even get to that side of the map. I am almost exclusively a hex build player and i totally understand the risk of losing my powers but they need to have a chance to last long enough for me to get SOME use out of them. I roll my eyes when i start a match and my hex is a literal lighthouse beaming to all survivors to come clean me.
and idk what it is with bots but they are literally magnetized to my hexes. they seem to know where all of them are and they very much focus on removing them
