yeah lowkey it’s unfortunate NOTHING has been said still, this is something that is genuinely needed and still hasn’t even happened, it’s been a year since the system has been out and they haven’t changed anything, like yes backwards compatibility works but the game can be given so much more for that console, 60 FPS and better graphical detail, it sucks that they haven’t even done it yet, like PLEASE make a native port and upgrade pack, we desperately need it and it’s long overdue

Yep, I had to play on my pc earlier just to crossplay, but like bruh I just wanted to play on my switch 2 but they just had to release a random patch, idk if it’ll come soon but it gets annoying having to deal with this especially because I have a switch 2 and enjoy playing on there, but cmon BHVR is there a reason the beta hub has a switch 2 listing as a platform getting updated? Unless that means a native port in the works, but right now it’s a genuine pain in the ass you guys are dragging a newer system down with its original, like yes switch 1 is old and it needs time for proper patching now, but a switch 2 port can at least fix the delays and give us switch 2 owners a better experience, so many people turn down switch 2 because it’s capped at the switch 1 settings and runs it slightly better, but the system has more potential but backwards compatibility is the only option, and it’s crazy considering it’s been a year since the system has been out, but I’d think that would be enough time to at least get something done right? A native port would fix the issues switch 1 has, better graphics, better connection for parties, 60 fps, and no patch delays. Please tell me something is going on, like an actual native port and a upgrade pack

Betahub lists all platforms that the game is played on, and the game is played on Switch 2.
There is nothing new on our side regarding any updates for Switch or a dedicated port I'm afraid.

JYes, of course it's also played on the Switch 2, what else are people supposed to do?Let me take Stray as an example; it's a game that was developed by 20 to 30 people and receives support.This company has released a switch2 update.They are a company with 1200-1400 employees and they can't manage to deliver a port or an update on switch2.They can't even manage to deliver the regular updates on the same day.However, they are not blaming Nintendo because virtually all cross-platform multiplayer games do not have this problem.Only their company fails to deliver and regularly lets the community down.

honestly only just got Crossplay back and it’s gone again, come on BHVR, we’re players too. It’s not fair on us to miss out on everything!

Nintendo is the one dragging their feet on putting the updates out blame them. Behavior can't do anything on platform being slow.

DThat's complete nonsense, every other multiplayer game manages to do it. Fortnite, Warframe, etc. No other game does it like this. If you're not familiar with Nintendo, it's better to just say nothing. Nintendo is currently more third-party friendly than ever before. Now even Call of Duty, DayZ, etc. are coming to this platform. If they don't like Nintendo, that's their business, but you don't always have to repeat everything you hear.

They validation of patches can take even a month compared to any other platform if you don't believe me then you can google it.

II don't need to Google it; I own one and experience it every day. I own these titles and play them regularly; no other game has such problems. The fact that they have to Google it tells me that they don't own any and are just repeating things other people have written without knowing the truth.

Sorry my earlier statement was wrong it was up to two weeks my mistake. Still seems DBD is not Nintendo's opinion blockbuster game that needs to have fast patch verifcation so it most likely has to wait like most other smaller companies.

DThat's nonsense again. As I already wrote above, there are also small studios that have upgraded to Switch 2. Okay, then it's strange that it only affects this game. I don't know what they don't understand when I tell them that, for example, Fortnite and Warframe have no interruptions.All updates are released on the first day, and that's how it works for all well-known games.You can continue googling and ask someone who owns the console to explain how it works. 🙈😁👍

INWe need to stick together across platforms!!We all want to play our favorite game together!I think without us playing on consoles, the game wouldn't be where it is.Whether it's Xbox, Playstation or Nintendo, this has to stop, we are a community! Please, PC players, don't feel attacked; the point is that the game doesn't offer what it could. We all want to be able to experience the game in the best possible way.We as Switch 2 players are aware that we can only play the game at a maximum of 60 FPS.You obviously spent a lot more money than we did, so still play with much higher settings than us.We just want justice so that all platforms get what they are entitled to.We are a community, whether PC, Xbox, Playstation or Nintendo, we belong together and love the game.

but how come it’s a separate tag? Think about it, if all the versions listed there have their own unique version, why is switch 2 even there, I get it’s a way to play the game, but it’s still using the original switch 1 version of the game?? That’s why it confused me, because you guys at BHVR never announced a port or upgrade pack path option for its own dedicated version, and it already sucks us switch players need to deal with the patch delays because of the certification process changes, I get the original switch is weaker hardware and needs time but this is really unfortunate to deal with when switch 2 gets dragged down with it

Because it's not game versions that's listed, its the platforms the game is available on, otherwise it would just say PC for both Steam and Epic for example, there's no different game version between the two, they are just completely separate platforms.

A New platform being Switch 2 arrives, You support everything else even the PS5 day one with its own dedicated versions.
Yet you shone your loyal Nintendo players & the Nintendo Switch 2 for over a year!
(Mind you the only platform you have done this with, Even tho it’s an massive success)
Big and small developers alike single & multiplayer games, Have beaten you Behaviour to the punch in mass majorly.
Meaning smaller developer teams have made Nintendo Switch 2 versions of their games and valued their fans.
And the New platform as whole, Because they don’t want to miss out on the opportunity.
Cough cough one of your partners Capcom shows how good the Switch 2 can hit 60 fps and higher with both Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, Street Fighter and Devil May Cry. While also putting out major graphical fidelity overall unlike DBD on the Nintendo Switch 1.
Now even the Hellraiser game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in October, Again another former partner beat you to it. And there an smaller developer unlike Behaviour!
You say you claim to you care about your Nintendo community/DBD players.
Yet it’s showing you don’t value us nor the opportunity to strengthen that bond.
It’s been well over an year the Nintendo Switch 2 has been out,
Yet you don’t answer, Acknowledge or confirm you’re working on it.
Your Nintendo Switch 2 DBD players have been screaming on this forum, X, Twitch and YouTube etc for a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD for ages.
Yet you just continue to alienate all of us !

DBD needs an dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of Dead By Daylight. With at least 60FPS + improvements and we darn need punching way above with a major Graphical Overhaul the most.
This is a golden egg to you Behaviour Entertainment (Aka more money and success ahead), This would bring more players back and give you so many new DBD fans. Since how huge Nintendo Switch 2 is selling worldwide & is very successful.
You need to get to grips already, Stop with the excuses we need a yes or no. We need a definitive answer from Mr Mathieu Cote himself.
People will be very happy if you do make a much needed Nintendo Switch 2 dedicated version of DBD or at least be truthful and confirm it already. Stop dancing around the question !
And we will pay be it, for a full physical release , A Game Key Card or a paid Upgrade Pack.
So everyone’s data, chapters and cosmetics actually can transfer over to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD.
Now we all deserve a proper repose from the man himself please.

We have not danced around anything, we have said we currently have no plans for a Switch 2 version. There's nothing more that we can tell you, its not in the plans right now.

INAs I said, the forum only exists so they can say they have one!The community is not being addressed at all, and no improvements are being made.What's really important is that they include a bunch of useless parks in the game, but it doesn't matter whether the game runs properly on every platform.The company is simply ridiculous and makes no effort whatsoever to engage with the community. I got a HIGH SPEED high end hdmi cable!Bro dbd is so much better! Zero delay and almost no lag from graphics. Do not use the supplied switch HDMI.
My mind was blown the difference!

If there are no plans for a dedicated Switch 2 version, are we to understand that the Switch 1 version of DBD will continue to get updates beyond the upcoming rebuilt / graphically enhanced version of the game? If all goes to plan, that update could be less than a year from now.
Given what we've seen of the impressive weather effects, it's hard to believe the upgraded game could ever run on original Switch hardware and would likely need the extra power of the Switch 2 to be able to run well (if at all). So unless a Switch 2 port is being worked on, that suggests to me that maybe the game isn't going to be available on Nintendo platforms in the near future. Do you guys have news to share with us on whether or not the new version of the game will be able to run on all current platforms?
I think the Switch player base would really appreciate some clarity on what the future holds for the game on Nintendo. I'm sure gamers still on the older Xbox and PS platforms would like some clarity on this as well.

It’s sad how you guys act like you care about the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch 2 community. The Nintendo Switch version of Dead By Daylight is not capable of running the future graphical update on a regular Nintendo Switch. There needs to be a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game if there’s any chance for the future graphical update to be able to run without issues, and for the possibility of 60 FPS. Otherwise, you guys are essentially indicating that you’re not going to support the Nintendo Switch long-term, as the Nintendo Switch 2 is the newest Nintendo console. Please stop saying you guys aren’t dodging the question. The Nintendo Switch 2 came out over a year ago, and there’s been no update on a Nintendo Switch 2 version. It seems to me that you guys are just hoping people will stop asking about a Nintendo Switch 2 version, or that they’ll give up on wanting it. I think it’s an extremely scummy thing from a greedy company that’s known for not fixing player issues. Especially console issues, like how the Vic Viper charm doesn’t unlock due to how the menu layout and button layouts are on console as opposed to on PC. Players like myself have invested a lot of money and time into Dead by Daylight on the Nintendo Switch. We just want a version of the game that’s up to par with the other versions, and that will be capable of running the future graphical update, as well as 60 FPS.
