Why does BHVR keep removing techs?
That's pretty much it.. They've gutted so many techs that add more variety to chases for both sides. Like I can understand how some of these could be problematic. However I don't think anyone who was a genuine dbd player despised Wesker techs, skybilly, ect.
Could someone explain the benefit to removing skill expression, or even just fun killer interactions by adding invisible walls?

I guess the thought process is that these techs are not intended at all, they are rather bugs in nature. Regardless of whether they are enjoyed or not does not matter to BHVR as they are flaws within the game, as has been shown with the removal of skybilly, blight hug, and to some degree wesker techs. I say this as an avid wesker tech enjoyer, who has spent large amounts of time practicing these techs, but it is inevitable that they get removed simply because they are not mechanics. Unless BHVR suddenly has a change of heart and makes them basekit (like in the circumstance of the oni flick), it is incredibly unlikely that techs that remain purely because of the jank of this games code, will remain forever.

They were never intentional parts of the game. Like in Battlefield being able to place a tank ontop of a helicopter and have it flying around shooting the jets down. And most of them are raw tactical exploits that players decided to make "skill expression" out of. And of course they wouldn't want hillbilly flying in the air they don't even want you to see beyond the walls of a map let alone go over them. I wouldn't be suprised if they eventually remove "heal tech" in the exit gates so that killers can just lose collision with someone healing a downed player and just pick them up.
