What do you mean by "bullshitted them"? Didn't let them do gens? Teleporting to my triggered traps and grab the unhookers? Abandon chases which were leading to untrapped areas as 110% Killer? I've played optimally, and I was punished for that.

I wonder if the devs even thought about the Emblems before changing them in patch 2.6.0. Killers don't really have any control over them. Gatekeeper is basically "bring Ruin or PGTW or you're #########", Devout and Malicious can easily be ruined by Survivors DCing or dying on the first hook, and Chaser outright punishes some Killers for using their power. Here is how I would fix the Emblem system for Killers:

Gatekeeper: based on how long you were able to keep the Survivors from getting out the door or Hatch, not how many gens you can protect. Survivors are currently in control of this one because they can just gen rush at the start and make getting points in this Emblem really hard.

Devout: Each hook stage and DCs give you full Emblem points. Survivors can easily deny you your Devout points by DCing or suiciding on hook. This change would prevent them from doing that.

Malicious: DCs and deaths on first hook give you enough Emblem points to compensate. Same thing as Devout.

Chaser: Putting a Survivor into the dying state straight from being healthy will give you double the Chaser points and maybe lower the amount of chases required for Iridescent Chaser. This will not punish Killers for using their power.

Survivors should be rewarded for escaping vs a new Killer. That way those survivors will stop being matched with new Killers that they can easily escape from and will instead be matched with better Killers who will put up a fight.

Having repeated decisive victories against players that were supposedly your rank is one of the biggest signs that you are in the wrong rank. And when facing new Killers as a competent Survivor you would certainly have those repeated decisive victories. And thus since you are in a rank where you are matched against noob Killers we should fix that by giving you pips.

This exact same reasoning applies to Killers

survivors are rewarded for escaping against a new killer

    they're given 5000 points

escaping is literally just walking through the door and leaving. you can do that while contributing absolutely nothing of value to the game. you can hide in a locker, get 3 crows, wait until all the gens are done and then leave. placing a ton of value on escaping is fallacious because escaping doesn't indicate that you played well throughout the game

if you run a killer for most of the game but die at the end and get no opportunity to unhook anyone else or touch a generator, you're unlikely to rank up. those people who did gens all game, maybe saved you once or twice, and then escaped? they probably did. does the fact that they escaped and you didn't mean they're better than you? of course not

no matter how you frame it, beating bad survivors shouldn't rank you up. getting beaten by a good killer should derank you, and vice versa

i won't argue that this system is perfect, and plenty of the time you 4k you probably should rank up, even if you safety. i'm just saying that swamping a team of potatoes doesn't indicate that you've played well (because you didn't need to), and thus your rank shouldn't increase for it. the people you destroyed should derank so that they can be in the rank bracket they belong in

By that logic, you should never leave low rank because you're "just beating bad survivors."

This system is still absolute garbage that penalizes the killer for using their power, especially Leatherface whom is already one of the worst killers.
