I don't deny it. I camp & tunnel because it isnt against the rules, just survivors' imaginary rules. Why do people think they have the right to tell other people how to play a game they bought?

Thats funny. These imaginary rules are funny too. Ive had countless people message me on psn to tell me how they're reporting me for camping. And i have no skill blah, blah. I wonder if they try that in other games? Do they tell people in shooting games that they can't shoot them in the head? They have to shoot them in the legs first or they're being toxic.

Yes. Very true. But they go into full denial. I had 1 guy msg me after a match, I killed all 4 & had 25,000+ bloodpoints, they had about 10,000. He was telling me how trash i am etc. He said my win wasn't valid because I camped after I sent him the scoreboard screenshot. I think in his mind he actually believed that, kinda pathetic.

Yikes. They must have too much free time. I usually skip post game chat and jump into next match unless I have a question.
there's jerks in any game. My advice is to ignore messages from dbd players unless you know em. In my experience, usually trash messages.

People trying to control how the game is played to avoid the inherent design flaws that come with the game is one of the reasons I stopped playing.
At this point, I've taken it that literally everything in this game is legitimate. Anyone who tries to impose self made rules, insult, or belittle those that play in a particular way are the truly toxic ones.
It doesn't make you toxic for camping, that is an inherent design flaw you are using to your advantage. That's legit.
It makes you toxic to belittle and insult the camper. Nothing is illegal in this game aside from glitches.
Anything else is fair game.

Awesome meme. Also, I'm a killer main. And I sometimes camp. It's my right.
Depending on what YOU, the survivor, do before and during the trial is what will prompt me to camp. Want to be a cocky little ######### with a flashlight and tbag? You're not making it out alive. Want to make me wait the whole 60 seconds in the lobby without readying up? I'll keep you on that hook for double that time.
This is a fairly sandboxy game, we can all make our own rules. And those are mine.
If you happen to be in my trial and get camped, ask yourself what YOU did wrong. If you're legit salty I camped after you tbagged, too bad. I'm the killer, I do what I want. You do your gens, show me the god damned respect I deserve as the killer and we good. Got it puny little rat faced survivors?

This, and the fact you do need too slug and tunnel and camp sometimes. It creates more pressure for the survivors too do things besides gens and gives the killer more time too find survivors.
If you can't do 5 gens when Bubba is in the basement eating Chili with a survivor, then you have only yourself too blame xD.

Hell, last night I had an Autohaven match while I was testing GF. I noticed three gens set-up real nice right near the basement area. Map RNG could not have smiled more upon me. Once I decided to let them have the far away gens, and got one survivor into the basement, it was a snowball effect.
Not only did they go out of their way for the basement saves while I kept my three generators safe, which map spawn put within easy distance of the basement, but it resulted in a rotation of two on the basement hooks at nearly every step of the way since the first hook.
My goal was originally to three-gen them with Exposed, slug and then hook, and end it that way, but between their over altruism and my guarding those god-placed gens, they lost the match with only two gens completed.
I'm fairly certain had I had post-match chat open, I would have been called all sorts of names.
I guess I was supposed to just let those three-gens pop whenever the Survivors wanted, and by doing so also just hand them their overly altruistic basement saves, too.
Yeah, not gonna happen.
If that makes me a camper by Survivor cosmology, then I'll just pitch my tent right here.

It really depends on the survivor.From my experience people who run ds are the type of people who run the killer for 2 or 3 gens or the people who go down 10 seconds after they hit their ds.If you don't know how to run the killer around you're not giving time for your team to do gens.And if they are a bunch of Blendettes who hide all game doing nothing then that has nothing to do with you.

Tunnelling doesn't exist. Exept on demogorgon and maybe hag as they're the only ones that tunnel through the ground.

Killers have camping and tunneling, survivors have looping and gen rushing. They balance each other on both sides so I always laugh when I see "camping" or "looping" posts...

So you did the gens in the wrong order, set yourselves up for a 3-gen-scenario and a survivor gets hooked next to the 3 gens - where is the killer supposed to go? To the other side of the map where there aren't any gens to defend and let you have a free unhook on top?
How you describe it, you made bad tactical decisions and lost because of it. Don't blame the killer for playing smart. Learn from it and avoid these scenarios in your future matches.

If the killer stands in place for 2 minutes "camping" and your team isn't doing gens but rather circling the hooked survivor hoping for a chance to save them, then have they not justified the killers tactic?
Camping is beaten by doing gens, tunneling is beaten by doing gens and using DS/Borrowed. Yes the person being camped/tunneled is having a bad time but if you push on gens then you will outrank that killer and never see them again. If you instead play into the killers hands and stay near the hook then you allow that killer to rank up and keep getting away with the tactic.
The tools to beat camping and tunneling are there, people just refuse to use them and then complain when they lose.

You're bad at the game cuz you didn't do gens. Also, DS hits more than tunnelers. I've been hit by a Dwight's DS just because he had 2-3 seconds left and I can't predict that.

DS only hits tunnelers - that would only be true if DS deactivates itself after you hook somebody other than the last guy you hooked.
But no, 1 minutes feels like a long time in DBD, as evidenced by the number of people who act like a 2 minute camp is somehow the end of the world.
I ain't denying that toxic people exist on both sides of this game. But what I want to know is why you jokers continue to feed these trolls with threads like this? Devs aren't going to do anything - and most of us who play killer and have more than a couple brain cells to rub together won't camp unless there is a compelling to tactical reason to do so.
This has been a daily occurring subject for THREE FLIPPIN' YEARS now. What makes you think this post is gonna change anything?

1. I didn't know Burning Man was coming up, because you seem to be building a huge strawman!
2. Their consequence was getting genrushed, but the survivors didn't enact that consequence.
It takes 2 minutes for a survivor to be one hooked. However, it takes 80 seconds for a survivor to solo-fix a generator. If a killer facecamps them while the remaining three are on their own generator, they can finish three gens while the survivor goes into the second stage. Mind you, this does not take into account toolboxes, chase time, and perks that increase fixing speed.
If the three survivors group up and do the last two gens while the survivor is in struggle, they will finish the last gen just as the survivor is sacrificed.

I am rank 1 and people still camp. There is no outranking them. They leave the hook for like 10 seconds and then they immediately come back to hit you the second you get off the hook. They camp in a different way at rank 1, thats the only difference. They usually win this way because they wait for people to save then hit you and hook you again. They also usually slug you so ds is useless.
The game should punish killers for camping more, without survivors needing to run perks. It is actually sad that I have to run ds every match.

If the killer leaves the hook, that's not camping. By your usage of DS, he's tunneling, not camping. Here's what the killer's likely doing.
Let's make an example. A Spirit hooks a Jake, and the Spirit walks off. The Jake gets saved by a Nea and the Spirit comes right back. The Jake is downed and slugged for DS. The Nea is chased and eventually downed and hooked. The Spirit comes back to either find Jake got healed OR Jake is still there.
If he was healed, that is at least 3 people off of a generator. If he is still there, then that means at least 2 people are off of a generator and the Jake is close to being dead.

No, it is camping ( or maybe tunneling ,whatever) when they do it like this: Billy hooks you, uses his chainsaw the move around while they are waiting for you the get saved and they immediately go back and hit you, borrowed also doesn't work with this.
They also do this with spirit, they just go away a little, then phases back to you immediately when you get saved and downs you again.
This is even more stupid than regular camping because survivors can just do gens when they do that but this way they still try to save you.
Again, why do I HAVE to run ds to stop this from happening?

I found most campers use NOED. You do gens and go and you likely feed 2 more kills to the camper. If you stop to find totems, you feed at least one, possibly 2 more to them.
It works with SWF, not with solo.

No, it's not about predicting. They wait for them to save you nearby, comes to hit you immediately when they do. It's just a different way of camping/tunneling.

Here's my take: I don't like camping from either perspective. It's boring and not worth it.
But... here's why some people do it:
- survivors are always altruistic, if they are not in a swf.
- it's worked for them before.
- they haven't had anyone tell them that there is a better way to play killer
- playing against really good survivors have made them salty enough not to give a darn and just ruin fun for survivors above all else.
I think ignoring all of the second chances survivors get isn't going to help the issue. What's the point of leaving if you're giving a survivor the chance to stun you for a long time, take a free hit for being unhooked badly, and then have to chase them all over again?
I swear, survivor mains who don't play killer ever are very entitled. They act like they deserve a free escape. Same with killer only players and 4ks. Sometimes you deserve an escape, sometimes you don't. Sometimes stuff happens and you get sacrificed due to someone else's mistakes. However, most killers have to take advantage of survivor mistakes to even catch a survivor. Due to this, all I can say is: Git Gud.
But that's the game for you.

Im a killer main and i dont camp but the thing is you when i just turned around and was about to walk away and you pulled someone off the hook im obviously going to go back and attack one of them and am called a camper for it as for tunneling i attack who i see whether they were the last one hooked or not i know this is the same for a lot of killers but not all just wanted to say this

And for killers gen rushing kills the game it sucks waiting to load into a game for five or more minutes only for the game to have lasted for less than half that time and the game is already balanced in the survivors favour mind you i dont agree with camping or tunneling
