Q: With The Nurse's add-ons being tweaked, will you now shift your add-on focus to other characters (Doc, Pig, Legion, etc.)?

We cannot give dates on when these changes will happen, but we can share some information on which killers we are looking to update. We will be taking a look at the Nurse and her add-ons (primarily her add-ons) and the Doctor. We would also like to review the chainsaw killers, the Shape, and the Pig, and more. Some may receive smaller changes or add-on passes while other may see more significant changes.
Q: Will items on The Rift become available for purchase after the rift expires? And if so, will they only be available for Auric Cells?
Some of the items on The Rift will be purchasable after The Rift closes. We are still discussing internally how we would like to handle this. We would like to make it as fair as possible to everybody (people who have earned them, people who didn't have a chance to earn them).
Q: Now that Undetectable has been added to The Shape, do Premonition and Spine Chill still not work against him?
Premonition and Spine Chill will work against The Shape. Previously Evil Within 1 would provide immunity to all detection perks. This would have made him an outlier from all other stealth Killers who instead gained the Undetectable status effect. To make sure he behaves the same as other stealth Killers, this condition was also swapped to the Undetectable effect.
Undetectable does not block all detection perks. Rather, it blocks aura reading, hides your terror radius, and also hides your red stain. This means that Spine Chill and Premonition will work against Michael Myers. As a trade-off, he will now have no terror radius in Evil Within 1 (down from the previous 6 meters).
Q: Is the lore in The Archives going to be videos, or text, or both? And will lore from Rift 1 still be available to view/read when a new Rift opens?
Both. All lore is held in Tomes, not The Rift. Tomes remain active forever; you can complete old ones at any time to unlock their lore. Old Tomes will not grant Rift Fragments to future Rifts, however.
Q: Since Putrid Serum is found in The Rift this year, does that mean we can collect it until the next Rift? Or will Putrid Serum be removed from The Rift after the Withered Blight ends?
Putrid Serum will remain in The Rift until it closes.
Q: What happens when rift closed? Will you update in this date or will be closed until the next update?
No update is required for a Rift to close, much like how new store content does not require and update each week.
Q: Why was the PTB's rift a little over 50 days when the rifts are supposed to last 70 days?
The date in The Rift on the PTB does not accurately reflect the actual end date. This is purely for testing purposes. It will last 70 days when the update goes live following the PTB.
Q: Can you please consider extending the event until Monday morning November 4th? This will give people with busy schedules during the "work week" two weekends to work on objectives instead of just one.
The event period is purely for the items in the bloodweb and the special event generators and hooks. Putrid Serum remains in The Rift following the event and can be earned at your own pace. Any unspent Serum will expire two weeks after The Rift closes.
Q: If I start making progress on the free track, then later decide to switch to the premium track, will the premium items from the levels I already unlocked be available?
Yes, you'll receive all of the premium track rewards from the tiers you have completed the instant you buy the premium pass. You do not need to purchase the pass right away to get all of the rewards; you can hold off until you feel comfortable with the rewards you'll receive.

Will Nurse's base-kit be changed back to its original form?
Or will you guys be updating it to reflect a more... "noob friendly" approach? Perhaps changing the charge times from 6 seconds total for both blinks to 5 seconds total? Or is something else being considered all together to lessen the punishment of nurse's fatigue time and her new extra blink charges?

Why have the Nurse changes tested on Dedicated Servers when her power greatly suffers from latency issues?

Now that you've done a big change to medkits and their add ons, can we look forward to similar reworks for other items? In particular I'm interested in changes to keys and maps, which have a lot of potential for some fun new game mechanics.
Btw I love the medkits changes and although not many people really talk about it the Unique Wedding Ring is my favorite thing you've added to the game in a while and it's things like that I'd love to see from item + add on reworks. Thank you!

Will the updated engine perform better on console then the current engine?

Will the archive tomes and rift levels be harder to complete as you progress? I personally hope not as although you do get interesting and exciting rewards, I feel as though it would just feel like another devotion feature.

How did you determine that 3 seconds specifically was the best Number to use as the cooldown? As opposed to 2.5 or something. Was it a decision calculated from some base assumption or is it just because 3 is an easy and round number?

Not that Nurses addons have been treated when will Billy/Leatherface get their addon changes and in LF's case buffs/changes ?

Will it be easier to get protection hits for Mettle Of Man? Currently this 'buff' is unnoticeable due to how hard it is to get the perk to activate.

Instaheals and instadown/moris are 3 mechanics that have been causing a lot of debate lately. Most people agree Ebony Moris are too strong and encourage tunnelling, instaheals were complained about cause they could end any pressure killers had in a matter of seconds and instadowns like iri heads are no fun to go against.
You chose to address the instaheals without addressing the two other issues. Are moris and instadowns something you're gonna take a look at in the future? Why'd you choose to only address one sides issues (killers) without addressing the other(survivors)?

Nurse Question :
Its clear from the add-ons that with the blink change that the devs know that her base speed is extremely slow that is why I assume they changed the add-ons to give her 4.2 and 4.6 speed like most the other killers .
Question is : is there any plans to just change her base speed rather then to make her a killer who requires certain add-ons ?

Why did you change on Nurse exactly that what noone was asking for? Majority was absolutly fine with her basekit. The addons (actually only 2 types: range and additional blinks) were the only thing you should have changed. Despite you completely missed the point with rechargeable blinks. You said this should give survivors more time to break LoS. But that's not working. You should have increased her fatigue to achieve this goal.
It doesn't make sense, an explanation and a revert is needed.

Now that Insta heals are gone, will there be a change to moris?

Looking at the content in the ptb Rift it didn't seem the cosmetics are linked in some way (except event ones). Will it always be that way or will we see Rifts with a main theme in the future?

Although Spirit isnt part of the update a lot of people are now eyeing her due to the nerf of the nurse so i feel like this is somewhat relevant to the update, and a lot of people have been speculating of her future.
Do you believe the Spirit will be nerfed/worked on in the future?

What is the point of fatigue if you add another cooldown. Why not expand on fatigue more and make it more of a weakness for her. Decreed sounds, increasing the darkness during fatigue and even increasing fatigue are much better ways then adding a cooldown.

Are you considering making Spine Chill doesn’t work on the killer when the killer is in the undetectable status effect? Because that perk completely destroys Ghostface and makes his power almost useless..

Will will see any licensed Charms btw? Like a Ghostface Mask or Freddy Glove or a Necronomicon?

Will console Nurse receive any help? She is already much more difficult to play than on PC and now it will be even more difficult. The addons will not help console users.

Now that dedicated servers are closer to being constantly online, is there plans punish habitual D/C's?
I think survivor d/c's should count as a sacrifice, one reason to prevent a depip and secondly to make it so the hatch doesnt instantly open if the second survivor d/c's instead a ten second timer with the sacrifice sound que will play.

What is the purpose of having the Archive levels time locked? Why stop players from completing the archives at their own pace?

Why did you change Myers' stealth mechanic..? He had a version of the Undetectable ability in his old version and now his power gets countered by the 2 "Stealth Breaking" perks in the game. The old version of Myers was better why on earth did you make this change?

No one cared about the Nurses base kit, only the addon's? I have played nurse for well over 2000 HR now, and I feel like im being punished. Just take out the range addons, and increase the fatigue by 1 second or .5. What led to this change other then LOS breaking? This update makes nurse unplayable on maps like lerys, where blinking to catch people was already hard enough. TLDR: Revert the base kit as no one complained about it.

Hello, I need your help in fixing an issue, I'm on PC and use steam to play dead by daylight, after updating it my home computer now switches offline when trying to even load into the menu the error message "Your steam status is offline" I haven't mess with game files or anything, I simply upgraded my computer and updated dead by daylight, please fix this cause I cannot play the game, it's Beginning to make me stress and worry that I'll need to get a new PC, if you can't patch it please give me a way to fix it, I've tried reinstalling the game, restarting my pc, switching steam from online to offline
I'm desperate for an answer, I just wanna play dbd and don't wish to factory reset my pc
