Something needs to be done about Ebony mori

The hell mate? Keys are only really effective once the killer and survivors have done their job. Meanwhile with Moris just tunnel and get free kills, punishing survivors for saving like they're supposed to.
3 -
Woah buddy, gonna have to stop you right there. You're making too much sense.
3 -
I don't really see 3 survivors escaping when there's still a gen to be completed as them doing their job. That's just kind of a free escape to me.
0 -
Keys are RARELY used. If u can find the hatch without getting caught or make it to the end game and find it under 2 mins with a patrolling killer you f-ing deserve that hatch
1 -
To do that wouldn't they have to group up like idiots or each bring their own very hard to obtain item?
0 -
Not really? Only takes 1 key, and if the killer is defending the last 3 gens then you might not even have to go anywhere near him. Only certain killers can punish survivors grouping up too.
0 -
If the killer has lost momentum that badly maybe it is time for them to lose. On the other hand, I agree opening hatch during chase is op and it should be a 5-8 second channel.
1 -
It's not really the killer losing momentum if none of the survivors are doing any remaining gens. At that point the killer has control, he's just doing his 1 objective of defending gens.
0 -
The killer should always be chasing survivors
0 -
Not true. The exact way to lose in that scenario is to commit to a chase on a guy away from the gens, letting the other 2 do the last gen.
4 -
That's why you chase survivors near gens 🙄
0 -
Exactly. You defend the last 3 gens, as I said.
It's up to the survivor where they want to be chased. The pressure's on them to try and pressure multiple gens and keep the killer busy for long enough, and it's up to the killer to choose his chases wisely (choosing not to be baited away from gens on long chases).
1 -
You can take away survivors' power by eating resources or preventing them from healing. So basically I agree with you on this :)
1 -
*Takes out salted caramel popcorn to enjoy, only to discover it’s been finished since the tread complaining about camping and tunneling*
0 -
The end goal of killers is to sacrifice/kill survivors gens try to give enough time for killers to do that but at the end of the day the game isn't over till the survivors are dead or have escaped the rough exit gate or hatch. Tunneling to get someone out of the game is still killing the survivor meaning the killer is partially fulfilling their goal of killing all survivors
1 -
The devs implement perks to discourage tunneling and you say tunneling is what killers are supposed to do? Not only that but you say the survivor objective is to get tunneled?
0 -
Yes the game punishes you for bringing a mori , slugging, tunneling, camping, and chasing because the devs want to prioritize survivors having fun. I said the end goal of killers is to kill survivors/sacrifice them if a killer wanted to be efficient you'd just pick the strongest killer and tunnel with a mori and the survivors end goal is to escape either through the hatch or exit gates.
I honestly feel like you skimmed my post
1 -
Maybe because you type like you're drunk. I have trouble finding your argument and even when I do it's still not there.
0 -
My first post I said keys had no counterplay
My second post killers end goal is killing survivors goal is escaping
Third post game punish you for being an efficient killer especially with a mori
Understand?
0 -
the original nerf was more than necessary. you could just mori people first down.
its still too OP, even with that nerf. it needs more.
2 -
Ranking system bad.
0 -
exactly. keys actually require work. mori=tunnel and kill immediately.
3 -
Ranking system make survivor have fun
0 -
Sure.
0 -
I'm saying it's bad for killer
0 -
I agreed
1 -
Incorrect. If a survivor went down twice, that's hardly a free kill but earned. Survivor failed miserably. He or she didn't respect the mori and allowed to be found and caught. Survivors aren't entitled to save.
0 -
Another one approaches. I'll put it simply: 3 hits and you're out of the game. Sometimes less. Respecting moris is some made up action in the killer handbook you can't actually do in game. Want more, punk?
2 -
Calling it "earned" does a disservice to anyone who actually kills survivors with hooks.
4 -
WELL ACSHULLY IT IS EARNED CAUSE I HAD TO BRING A MORI TO DO IT HEHE
0 -
Lol. One of the best ways I've seen that phrased.
0 -
If we're using that logic keys aren't "earned" since you didn't use the exit gate to escape
0 -
Allow me to read the survivor handbook: Killer hooks survivor. Killer leaves hook and stay away from hook. Never rehook the same survivor regardless of the circumstances. Only hook another survivor next. All survivors must be hooked 12 times. Do not slug. Do not use moris. Do not use OP addons or strong killers. Never slug 3rd person for the 4 kills.
Sorry punk, but you are not entitled to survive. The killer has his own rules. You are on his turf.

You forgot to address my argument bud.

I hit it right on the head of the nail.

This compound has become prevalent in this thread:
1 -
How long do survivors want their queues to be? Nerfing mori is insane.
1 -
why? because killers want to rely on broken mechanics in the game to win?
nerfing moris should’ve been done a long time ago.
and yes key included.
1 -
I have no argument but let's try to be civil and try to see eachothers viewpoint without being facetious. Everyone have a great night!

If someone say that mori should be usable after 2nd hook, well, im afraid you are an entitled surv main. The explanation is simple, mori takes like 13 seconds from what i remember, so most if the time its faster to just hook a survivor plus you gain a bit of distance when carrying them. So making moris usable after 2nd hook renders them complete useless except situations like, idk, saboing hooks all the time just before your eyes idk, i personally wouldnt waste offering slot for that when i can get oak offering so i have hooks closer, or prevent 2 chests from spawning, honestly even bonus BP would be a better choice than mori like that
3 -
Pretty simple solution, mori becomes usable after all survivors have been hooked once. Voila, no more tunneling first survivor off hook.
2 -
I do agree but I also disagree.
Me personally when I use ebony moris, I always hook the survivors twice unless they are annoying as hell. Maybe if they nerf them you need to hook them twice in order to use it and then it would be some fair since regardless next hook they are already dead.
Btw I know some people hate moris but I love them since its better than getting hooked in my opinion plus I did get caught after all.
0 -
Moris?
Killer gets less points for using them, offering that costs quite alot in the bloodweb all you have to do is do the gens asap. When you cant do that as survivor, sucks to be you and git gud.
I rarely bring them as killer because everybody knows this very secret offering and most survivors will dc during loading screen anyway.
Funny how some people here pretend keys have no addons which give basicly OoO without drawbacks but ok.

Still to this day I have never been moried in this game how you ask ? Oh that’s leave button is my best friend you try and r1 me il leave .... idc I love seeing them stand over you and then poof nothing and now there daily hasn’t been completed :) I no very toxic but explain to me why you should get to murder me after my first hook pfff you shan’t and won’t and never will ohh bring a Mori hook tunnel kill ... how about hook me tunnel me and I leave... this is the only time il blatantly disconnect.. but you can’t say you ruin other people’s game by leaving well no because I would of been dead so my d/c don’t matter only effects the killer and tbh idc you want to be toxic and bring that in il be toxic back remember you need survivors to kill and get points il deny you of all of that on principle
2 -
Honestly, Moris don’t need that many changes. The only changes they need are:
- Ivory and Ebony Moris are only usable when the Survivor is on death hook.
- The Cypress Mori is no longer an offering and is added to the Killer’s base kit.
When you’re on death hook or the last Survivor left, you’re most likely #########. Why not let the Killer finish you off with a badass move instead of simply putting you on a hook for the last time? Adding the Cypress Mori to the base kit also makes the Mori ritual easier (no more having to spend hundreds of thousands of BP or play 20 games just because you can never get your Rancor or Devour Hope to work for whatever reason) and clears some space in the Bloodweb.

What an entitled crybaby you are, dc punishments can't come soon enough.
4 -
The irony of this post being about Ebony mori’s and not god loops has me lmao
0 -
True, I have escaped against a mori before, but once the right killer and player uses it, challenging will be the last adjective you will use.
Mori replaces "challenging" with "Your odds for survival is one÷infinity". 😕
1 -
Don't get caught twice.
We have keys they have moris. They lose tons of points and can't double pip. There's nothing wrong with the mori
1 -
Nothing. They're fine. Killers already lose points and can't double pip.
If someone is using a mori play carefully, that's it. Hide, don't play risky. If you get cocky you die.
When I see one I'm hiding as much as possible
