What platform's store are you looking at?
-
This is correct it's not the offerings. It is the maps that need the work. Map offerings should only be for preference and not to convey any strong advantages for either role. There still are a few killer builds that are absolutely map dependant, but that speaks more to certain add-ons needing changes.
-
True, but they have no plans to. So we have the servers we have.
-
Part of the issue is many parts of the globe being far from the servers, particularly in South America and in Asia, and those in Australia often find themselves moved into strange regions as well.
-
I too have have run into this problem on Xbox, sorta rare but happens. Someone disconnecting or being moried can trigger it. Sometimes each of us restarting the game fixes it, sometimes we have to restart our routers as well. This issue has been around since 2018 for me.
-
Almost half of all survs are in at least a two-man SWF last time they put out such numbers.
-
Games like Minecraft and DayZ have an experimental game on Xbox available, so it's doable. DBD's current way of doing their PBT can't work for the consoles because it's a separate download each time. That means it needs to be certified separately by Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo, which can take several days to a week,…
-
Wouldn't comms mess with this idea?
-
Nurse is the strongest killers available, and is always ranked that way, because of what she can do. It's her potential lethality that gets her that high up. She has an overall terrible killrate because players know she's the best and try her, but quickly find out you have to put in a decent amount of time to understand…
-
Bhvr developed the PC version of DBD and it's ports to the consoles, however the mobile version was developed by an entirely separate team. They recoded the game from scratch, something I wish desperately would be done to the main game, and this allowed them to clean up so many aspects of the code and a thorough…

Saw a clip of a Claudette trying to use an open hatch against a Dracula, and each time they hopped in it rubber handed them back out like seven times before it worked. Animation completed but them bam they're standing right next to the hatch again and again. Ping seems to be all I've the place right now.
-
All of Australia was set up originally with copper instead of fiber optics, so they're years away from upgrading that completely. And this game has precious few servers across the globe, especially in Asia and in South America. There's no way a limit of 90 or going after VPN is feasible for this game.
-
This is expert level guilt trip right here! 😂🤣
-
The issue with such a limitation is players in South America and in Asia are already very far from the nearest servers. Plus those in Australia are for some reason being placed in different servers constantly, something they cannot control either.
-
I have always believed the true power of SWF is midigating the rng aspect of who you get on your team. You know you're more likely to get picked, up or unhooked before second stage. You know they'll come back for you if they can, and much less likely to sandbag. You know if they're trying for adept or various challenges.…
-
Yes bring back the night time farms!
-
How could they accomplish this? The PTB is only for those who play on Steam, and we are seeing again how splitting the playerbase crushes queue times. Imagine those wait times with a fraction of a fraction of players able to participate.
-
Your Xbox gamertag is what DBD will display when you play, so that's what they'll see when you stream. You can change it once a month, but yeah there's that character limit. You can maybe mess around with overlays that would show what you would like people to see, but not directly through the Xbox.
-
Those of us on Xbox cannot even use their Anonymous Mode
-
There was a time that you could loop around the Cow Tree on Coldwinds or many long fences on Haddonfield that were actual infinites back in the day. You could also permanently break hooks and also self-heal during a pallet stun. I too would like to play again on the classic maps but a couple of things were eliminated for…
-
Each and every time they have to for whatever reason turn off the DC penalties evil things happen. Every time. Players proceed to leave immediately for the slightest inconvenience. It could be an unfavorable map, a killer they don't like, a too-long first chase, being found first, a perk they dislike versing, etc. The bots…
-
That's a good point, as the vast majority of the playerbase is on the consoles.
-
I love it Nemmy just go out there and be Nemmy good stuff! 😂🤣
-
Imma speculate the new Ormond map was closer to ready than the possible new Swamp one was and/or had something moderate that needed fixing up first.
-
Hmmmmmmmm now I'm curious how he feels on a Switch. 🤔
-
Have you tried running him with a controller?
-
My beloved Piggly Wiggly wishes to open a high risk locksmith shoppe. If that doesn't work out there's always dental school. Isuppose she could go back and finish that one day.
-
I was tickled petting the precious doggo was a thing in the first Dragon Age game, and that was back in like 2009. I'd like to see any escaping survs also petting him in the way out! 🐕
-
I've played the bulk of my DBD hours on an Xbox1x, which was the absolute strongest of the prior gen machines. Even had an SSD in it. Still struggled to digest this game. It's not the capabilities of any of the consoles, or any PC for that matter. It's the resource bottleneck issue, as you can feel & see from the demands…
-
Just imagine what our precious Switch cousins have to deal with for DBD performance! 😕
-
It is yes
-
Red Dead 2 is the best example I know of, a game that looks amazing on all platforms, yet the resource demand compared to DBD is so much less even with much more going on. This game's rough optimization plays a huge part as well.
-
They reduced the size of the maps to allow less mobile killers to patrol gens and basically get around more efficiently. Wesker in particular does seem to have a terror radius the size of France now yes, but Doc can also feel like he's everywhere too.
-
The fog (and swaying grass, particles, etc) was greatly reduced or removed in an effort to improve game performance, especially for the last gen consoles.
-
Preturning (like flicks in general) is kinda unheard of on controller even at max sensitivity. The issues are the dead zones in the sticks as well as input delay. Just imagine a third of a second to half a second delay on everything you do. If it needs snappy quick movement to be done it ain't being done basically, you…
-
How would one do this with a controller?
-
And their build falls flatter than a plate full of piss if they're found first and hooked. Then Deliverance never gets activated, highlighting the risk of it being a wasted perk slot most trials.
-
Seraphor is quite correct, plus Rancor gives you plenty of indications it's in play anyway if you're the Obsession.
-
If it was only positives, like saying GG or not saying anything at all, might work.
-
I see too many ways this suggestion would not work out positively and be open to abuse. SWF could review bomb a solo with them, as well as each and every killer they don't have fun against, and those will add up quickly. Anyone trying for a challenge/adept with No Mither for example would be down voted into oblivion. So…
-
This is the fullest explanation I've seen yet about why it's not in DBD. I knew it needed to be in originally back in 2016 to make it doable really, but I didn't know why. Ty
-
This is part of the problem, as players in Asia and South America are very far from any DBD servers. And as mentioned above there seems to be lots of placing people in various different servers all the time anyways.
-
As far as I know there is nothing checked by the servers as far as impossibilities in DBD, such as flying around or extreme speeds or far too short hook times. Things like that. When it comes to any kind of match replay option I thought they said it's too late now it would have had needed to been originally coded back in…
-
I've seen Head On plays trigger a killer into hard tunneling, particularly if it makes them drop a surv. Bodyblocking with BT also usually ensures you'll be focused.
-
So the speakers on my old TV across the room from my couch might miss it entirely? 😋😂
-
I've never noticed that gasping sound before. Maybe it's part of the difference between using a headset or not? Plus as others have said the sound occlusion has always been quite wonky in this game.
-
These kinds of discussions will always happen when the mechanical disparity between controllers and M&K comes up, whenever something is possible or not just because of input device. We get to this point because they've repeatedly said they have no plans to add support for M&K, and the last time they upped controller…
-
Maybe make the locker aura a different color, like bright blue or something?
-
We learned from the last 2v8 mode that the game cannot support split queues as the wait times get bad fast. Also what killer would willingly play in a comp-ish queue that would be guaranteed SWF looking to sweat when they could just pillage and steamroll mostly solos in a casual queue?
-
Like a year and a half ago or so they tested out much stricter matchmaking, and the results were longer queues for everyone plus burnout at the more veteran levels and among the content creators. It turns out the sweats don't like going up against the sweats game after game after game. Enough players complained about it…
