The original creator of the mythos named Eric Knudsen owns the rights to Slenderman. He is copyrighted. The developers of an upcoming game called Terrordrome 2 tried to speak with him to get the license, but were turned down. So they had to make a copy called Neverman.

I like Slenderman, but he's licensed unfortunately.

I don't think people laughed when they got punched in the back by him in Outlast. But yeah, his ability would be pretty standard. But just imagine his mori though, it would be one of the best. Ripping a survivor's head clean off like he did to that guard. Easy to animate.

Yeah, except no one outside of hardcore Outlast fans know who Marta is cuz she was a forgettable character. Everyone in the horror game community knows the iconic "little pig" tho (Thanks Markiplier) So Walker would be better for business and hype.

They'd go for the most iconic character to Outlast. Which is Mr "Little Pig" himself.

I've always said that if they bring in a licensed character, then they should do the franchise justice and stay true to the license. I loved Scream, and I wished they made him what he was from the movies as I remembered. His outfit just doesn't cut it for me.

I would've preferred just the original black robe from Scream. It's what makes Ghostface his own character. With the way he looks now, it just looks like a custom Skyrim character or as mentioned, Assassin's Creed. I really hope they change it.

That probably won't happen again. They are great devs, so I'm sure they've learned from Freddy and Legion.

I'd love Mr.X or Nemesis. I can imagine Nemesis chasing me while saying "STAAAARRRRRSS" right behind me.

This soundtrack would be PERFECT as Ghostface's chase theme.

Legion might be inspired by Ghostface, but they're still different characters at the end of the day. Just like Billy and Leatherface and we have both in-game. I'm a big fan of Ghostface and think he'd do well in DBD, so that's just my opinion. Plus there are a few killers in the game who don't have "powers".
