i’ve had multiple games where EVERYONE is over 200 ping, it’s ridiculous. i’ve also had multiple games where the server stopped responding literally right at the end of the game when i’m about to escape. all that bp, gone. it really feels like i’m having my time wasted and makes me want to stop playing altogether.
-
you don’t need video if you’re not on PC, but also omg as a wraith main i got really excited thinking this was just a stupid superbuff LMAO. glad it’s a bug though because it gives you NO time to respond as survivor.
-
this has been happening to me as well. i’ll have the prompt available to me but won’t be able to drop it no matter how much i’m mashing the button. there will also he instances where my survivor will literally start the pallet-dropping animation (the “vacuuming”) only for it to be randomly cancelled.
-
Isn’t that how it’s supposed to work? If you’re within 16m of the survivor and they get to finish the 15 second song, you get the lingering bardic inspiration effect for 60 seconds wherever you are.
-
same on switch! i thought there just wasn’t a modifier tome until i saw this lmao.

UPDATE since patch 8.2.2: this is still happening, and has recently become more frequent. unless i am actively queueing up or i’m already in a match the game will boot me to the title screen with the same “no network connection” error within 30 seconds of idling in menus. trying to change anything in menus is a chore now…

okay so you genuinely sound like you don’t have that much experience as killer. as a wraith main, another M1 killer, here’s how to counter these perks: DH: literally just wait and don’t swing right away. many killers have little ways they can bait out DH. you might get tricked the first time, but this was also the case…
-
as a wraith main, another M1 killer, it’s pretty simple: DH: literally just wait. with many killers you can easily bait it out. OTR: either go after someone else i.e. don’t tunnel, or wait until they do literally anything. if they wait the full 80 seconds without touching a gen that is a good thing for you, the killer. DS:…

if you are so wound-up about a core mechanic of the game that is entirely meant to keep all players continuously engaged and move the match along, then maybe you should play a different game? also endurance shouldn’t be such a big problem for you if you know how to play outside of camping & tunneling lmfao (and know the…

i never complained it was too strong, just a little more difficult to mindgame than other ranged killers based solely on audio. please learn how to read.
-
hm, maybe all the draculas i’ve gone against have just pulled it out when i’m too far away to hear it?
-
adding to this: the forgotten ruins map is also extremely choppy on switch right now.
-
UPDATE since the Lara Croft chapter: now when this happens, trying to log back into the game will show a save game error and force you to quit & restart entirely. pls i just want to play without having to be glued to my screen the entire time. this makes playing with friends extra tedious as well. 😭
-
ah damn it 😭 oh well. i’m broke af so switch is the only platform i own but hopefully i’ll have enough saved up for my first gaming pc soon! sucks that i have to factor in rebuying the game though lmao.
-
this has happened to me three times in the past HOUR. it happened literally just as i was about to escape and i called it quits for the day. love losing everything because of something out of my control.
-
This has been happening to me all morning. Even while playing a custom game against all bots the servers aren’t stable. Are you on west coast servers by any chance?
-
yeah dungeon navigation has been a massive problem for both killer & survivor. multiple times i’ve had killers who had to slug bc they couldn’t find hooks and just now a teammate went from first hook to death all because none of us could find where the hell she was hooked. doesn’t help that as usual this map is insanely…
-
so it isn’t just my eyes then. maps with higher contrast between light/dark (midwitch/nostromo/autohaven/etc.) have especially been made dramatically darker on switch. i can barely see the killer’s red stain around corners before it’s too late! hope whatever change they made to the lighting this recent update gets…
-
I just left a report about this and it got denied as a “tech support” issue even though there’s nothing we can do on our end about poor optimization. Like thanks guys. 💀 Also the Nostromo map has crazy frame drops, so add that to the list of issues.
-
I also had this while playing Spirit on Switch. Her yell is gone when she swings & the survivors don’t yell when hit.
-
All of the killers’ positions in lobby were shifted to the right when Nemesis was released, presumably in order to make room for the big guy. It’s sad that we can no longer see Trickster’s signature wink, though. :(
-
Yeah, most of the problems with console DbD seem to be exclusively with last gen consoles.
-
It seems to be a problem with all 16 charge medkits, as I'm having the same thing happen to me when using a green medkit. :(
-
I'm having the same problem, specifically with the "last place you look" survivor challenge.
-
this has been happening to me too, nearly exclusively in matches against nemesis, and almost always in the end-game, which is even more frustrating when i’ve been having a great match & know i’ve accumulated good bp. DC penalties are still very much a thing, however, even when you crash, so i’ve de-ranked twice within the…
-
Yes, I know. I was pointing out a specific trigger for these crashes, as knowing what triggers glitches/bugs makes them easier to fix.
-
OKAY FOR REAL i basically had to learn to stop making assumptions about skill level based on rank because of the rank reset fiasco lmaooo. i mean in general it’s good to do that, but this last rank reset especially made ranks matter even less hahaha.
-
oh my goodness thank you so much for taking the time to write all this, this was legitimately super helpful! i still need to work on identifying each players’ skill level per match, but like you said, it’s really effective when you can pinpoint the weakest link. i feel my biggest problem with these groups is pressuring…
-
it’s pretty easy to tell when they all have similar handles, coordinating outfits, are all playing on the same platform, and their ranks are a literal rainbow lmfaooo.
-
BRO i literally blamed matchmaking and not SWF itself. maybe learn to read next time & don’t comment if you have nothing helpful to say??? christ.
