I highly suspect overheat was added purely so addons would have more variables to alter. Because without overheat, all you can really change is charge, turn, and sprint speed.1 -

Not sure why they don't just keep it up until the mid-chapter. Not a big deal though, it was easy to finish this one with both the Halloween and Christmas events contributing progression.3 -
Re: How do you pass the obsession challenge?
If you tried this with Friends 'til the End it won't work, as the obsession switches before they're sacrified. Nemesis is the best perk for this challenge.1 -

Not a bad idea, fast pickups wouldn't break the game. Only make flashlight saves more difficult.2
