Luck is just for unhooking yourself, not chests. I wish the luck mechanic was changed so that it would affect chests too: perks like Up The Ante and all the luck offerings would be used more.1 -

They gen tap to not trigger the skill check when there's Ruin. I'd say it's better to get good at hitting greats, lol.3
