Renewal stops charging after a survivor is picked up until the heal action is restarted
If you pick up a dying survivor and continue healing by holding the heal button, renewal will stop charging after the survivor is picked up until you stop healing and start healing again.1 -

This just forces the killer to facecamp every survivor at the end of the game. If every other survivor died you probably should have been taking chases as soon as you had your Deliverance up.2 -
