Remove DC Punishment for Killer

Doesn't harm anyone but us to DC, and it doesn't actually discourage us from leaving maps like Crotus Prenn, Haddonfield or Coldwind Farms. It just unnecessarily bottlenecks matchmaking.

I think they should keep dc penalties, but make it so the penalty only applies to the side you disconnected on.

No, killer quitting because he dislikes map or any other dumb reason is as petty and time wasting as any survivor who quits because he was downed too early or faces killer he doesn't like. Neither side should quit unless it's completely necessary like beiing permanently stuck due to bugs or facing obvious hacker.

"Doesn't harm anyone but us to DC" Had to stop reading after that, because it's already false.

Why should anyone not be given a penalty for DC'ing? A killer DC'ing denies players points and wasted time waiting for the lobby. Survivors DC'ing leaves remaining survivors 1 man down and at a huge disadvantage. Why should DbD allow you to rage quit because you don't like X reason and just let you continue to do so until you get what you want. Just play the game, if you lose, you lose. You still earn points either way.

We should be entitled to surrender when we know the map is unwinnable at R1. I'm sorry you didn't get to bully me on Haddonfield or some Coldwind farm nonsense, I'd rather move onto a more competitive match.

I get what your saying since as killer a dc rewards 4 players with bp and escape bp it's a free victory for them so what can it hurt?

But since so few killers want to even play anymore ques are insane and it's a huge letdown to wait 20 minutes to see a killer DC and go back to the bottom of the ques.

I won't recommend DC. But if your having that poor a time on those maps you have to send a message to the dev's by simply not playing killer.

It's hard to be a killer. Its stressful and unrewarding and your flamed if you have a single kill. Survivors will always hate the monster

I thank you for your service

Entitled is thinking you have a right to trap a person into a game they know they'll just get griefed in then lose.

I am my entire team as killer and that means my entire team has unanimously decided to surrender. I should be titled to concede in such a circumstance, just as teams should have a right to vote to surrender.

If the conclusion is foregone there is no point in continuing, this was the philosophy of the hatch change. This merely expedites the inevitable.

We've tried to send this message before, and in fact a remarkable number of profoundly skilled and renowned killer streamers outright DC certain maps and have for a very long time. It's no secret we flatly do not enjoy these maps and that they make the game completely overwhelmingly one sided.

How about "No"? This is entitlement at its best. You are not allowed to DC, if you do it, you will get the same penalty as everyone else. Simple as that.

why not ask for a surrender mechanic for survivors then, sounds a lot better then encouraging DCing, also if a map seems bad then tell the developers and maybe they'll rework it

Pile on: No, you've agreed to play a game by joining, now see it through regardless of whether or not conditions are favorable to your chances of 'winning'. (Winning in quotes because killers seem to act like killing anything less than all four survivors is a loss.)

Incorrect. I consented to join, I did not consent to stay.

I'm not saying 4k, tired of this straw man, just derails.the discussion across partisan lines. I want to not automatically lose at the map selection RNG. Until that's fixed I'm not wasting my time on certain maps.

I don't DC as killer because of the map or something i don't like at start of the match. I sometimes dc when all gens get done in 2 to 3 min and I've been chasing one survivor. This happens alot on the corn maps which are mainly for survivors and when that happens I get pissed and dc. I think i got to an hour penalty and i stopped playing. If this keeps happening survivors wont have any killers to play with, so a surrender button for killer would be a good idea. I told a friend i wish as killer we could jump on a hook kill ourselves.

    @ChirpingCat

good game to me is 4 to 6 hooks and at least 1 or 2 sacrifices/kills. Really, i like everyone to have fun and not get bullied.

Well if that's your puerile attitude then I'd recommend that you uninstall DBD and go back to playing with your Lego set. Also I'm curious what your definition of 'losing' is, since the game has no such concept as win or lose.

BHVR: Nothing to see here, just a whinging baby trying not to get punished.

Is that the 4 man SWF groups it spoils? Yeah great an over powered groups lose something. us noob killers lose all time but you guys don nothing on matchmaking

All you do is cry about SWF in every thread. Half the stuff you write can be made into a meme you're that much of a stereotype lmao.

OT: Killers aren't special. Everyone that ragequits/leaves early deserves temp bans. It ruins challenges/dailies. It wastes time. It takes away the chance for more BP which is pretty low as survivor and puts the survivor back in a long queue. If you want a game you can ragequit without repercussions I heard Animal Crossing is nice.

Hey, do you know how much I'm discouraged when I spawn in at Hawkins or Lery's as Nurse?

I just plow through man and I typically do very well.

And remember, queue times for survivors on console are atrocious, it wouldn't be fair for them. =/
