Thankyou for removing bloodlust, i cant wait!
Cant wait to completely destroy all 110% and even 115% killers at certain loops, i know you want to help less experienced survivors but god damn youre making this so easy for survivors like me that know how to loop and timings/distances killers must be to vault pallets safely. All youre doing is allowing bad survivors to maybe do better which really dont belong in red ranks anyway while hurting every un-experienced killer. YOU NEED TO REMEMBER NEW KILLERS EXIST! seriously no wonder so many people avoid that role and get annoyed at playing it. I guess undying will be removed next? people dont like totems...

This is a TEST!
The maps have been changed a lot over the past few years a lot of pallets now are unsafe compared to how they were when bloodlust was needed in the game, so to see the effect on the game that bloodlust has right now, it needs to be disabled so the data can be analysed.
But as I said, this is just a test.

Or people are just gonna play the high mobility killers more?
Really all this test is gonna show is that around 50% of the killer roster needs Bloodlust to assist in the chase to give them a chance (i.e Trapper, Pig, Oni, Legion, Plague, Demogorgon, in a manner Michael, Ghostface, etc) while the other 50% can carry themselves (I.E Nurse, Billy, Blight, etc)

Dev do this change because don't play DbD at hight rank. If their play vs SWF Rank 1 that have more of 1k of hours their will understand how game is unbalanced.

simple as its a test that isnt needed. if you have lead on a chase long enough for bloodlust to kick in before the killer gets a hit then well you have clearly done your job, and some loops have changed in the sense sure but some will still be so strong even more so after you add in spine chill and resilience. im just saying all youre doing is killing newer and less experienced killers so survivors stop moaning "i was chased this long and only went down to bloodlust how unfair"...

Maybe a game like DBD shouldn't be balanced around the top 1% of the playerbase? I bet the vast majority of DBD players cycle on and off, like me, and never get insanely skilled. Yeah, some people exist that no-life DBD and try so hard to coordinate with 4 man SWFs. But that's such a minority. I bet the majority of their players barely know what they're doing and get discouraged easily enough to leave; If they game can be made more enjoyable and less sweaty, that's a big win for mostly everyone.

its a single hit. why should a killer lose because of a swf? not like they get multiple perks worth of info just by being in a party is it? oh wait they do.
Point is again its only helping toxic and bad survivors who moan about everything. funny enough iv been rank 1 for 4 year sand never minded bloodlust, even with the updated maps and loops so explain why bloodlust is a huge issue when the only reason killers actual win is because of bad survivors whho dont touch gens or have 0 knowledge of loops?

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this weekend either. One of the most boring, braindead strategies (running straight) just got temporarily buffed.

The only thing BL does is reduce the amount of time a survivor can chain windows together constantly which is far more powerful than a one time pallet drop. I get this is only an experiment but it is a short sighted one. Until there is something in place to prevent abusable tiles being spawned next to one another then BL is a required mechanic in the game. Even after these map redos I have still see the fun-bus spawn facing a long wall which was facing another long wall, these three window chains made it legit impossible to catch the survivor without BL because you end up dropping chase and the window never gets blocked.

I agree that bloodlust tier 2 or 3 should be removed. But please never remove BL tier 1. It is needed on maps like Haddonfield because of the infinite fences, and also because of the RNG that puts a jungle gym next to the shack.

The entity blocking a windows after 3 survivor vaults is a mechanic. The survivor throwing a pallet is a mechanic. Moving faster than the survivor is a mechanic. Etc.
Bloodlust was a mechanic to give Killers a stacking boost to help prevent a chase for going too long even if the survivors still had resources that they would otherwise be able to use to extend the chase.
You'll still win/lose chases through the use of mechanics. Just not this one for this weekend.

That's the point. To help new killers who can't loop properly against survivors with hundreds of hours who will destroy them. Maybe that's not what it was originally for but now that's its purpose and it helps new killers.

The game is still survivor favored and yet we're testing making killers weaker. Ouch.
Why not test something else like less pallets, or disabling DS, disable keys and mori's. You know something people have been asking for, not bloodlust which is very low on the priority list for most people if its even on it.

Hell yeah, we should also remove pallet breaking, just imagine creating dead-zones so survivor have nothing to loop you?

Yeah because no one really likes playing for hatch and it just undermines the whole match.
Either escape by the gens or die, that should be it really. Your team did bad? Ok try again next time.
There's so many actual problems in the game they could be testing (Gen times, DS, Spirit/Freddy, Mori's, Keys, map offerings, pallets, hatch, ect.), but they chose this one...

I am just not going to play killer this weekend, playing killer is already frustrating and miserable experience without more things making it worse.
I come back after several months to this game, and the first thing I see when I get back is this kinda crap. It's depressing, makes me feel like they will never actually work on any real problems with the game =/

Bloodlust activating loses frames. It IS a problem and affects the game's stability.
Besides that, you lose Bloodlust after injuring someone, smashing a pallet, or lose sight of them. All factors that instantly turn it back off after you get it. It's overblown.

im glad bloodlust is getting turned off.. i play killer to 99% and have never needed it on any killer ever.. the only people that complain about bloodlust are those that rely to much on it.. rn it award those killers that dont know how to loop, "i ######### up and did poorly but still got a down due to bloodlust" and at that point the skill of the survivor didnt matter.. the only upset people are mostly bad killers.. and if a killer cant catch up to a bad survivor then that killer maybe should realize what he is doing wrong.. hopefully after this they decide to remove it for good so people can actually start learning to play the game.. then its only slowdown perks left to remove

not on new consoles it doesnt, i have the S and its actually running really smooth. NGL it felt so weird moving at a decent amount of frames for a change haha.
As for you second comment and this applies to everyone hating on this post or dont agree with it all this is going to do is make my survivor strong as i hardly get bloodlust as killer but my issue is new killers or less experienced players will struggle more and be impacted more which okay fine might mean killer ranks mean more but then youll have a really good killer at rank 1 against survivors that hardly do gens, miss skillchecks or cant even lead on a chase. i want balance not punish new killers rewards bad survivors etc.

yes, we all know how good BHVR is at creating stats (we remember the great stats used for the great mmr system kappa)

Stats were nothing to do with MMR though, the system doesn't measure statistics in the slightest - it's way more complex than that, as is any MMR that's in a game. And MMR in a game like DbD is always going to be difficult to implement.
(and I also never mentioned stats, but data - the two things are not necessarily the same).

ILL MAKE THIS CLEAR SO YOU ALL UNDERSTAND
- i do not care for bloodlust, i hardly ever reach it
- my concerns are for less experienced or new killers
- We seem to be making it harder on new killers yet make it easier on new survivors
- Its bad enough we get rank 1 survivors that do 0 gens, miss skillchecks and lack of any kind game knowledge from loops, maps, tiles etc.
- This will push even worse survivors higher up, a good survivor would stay at a pallet and force the killer to break it and lose BL while bad survivors keep running. this slightly changes in which speed the killer catches up now
- I WANT BALANCE. IM TIRED OF SEEING BAD SURVIVORS REACH RANK 1 WHILE KILLERS ARE STRUGGLING
So think what you want, but all this will do is punish killers learning and help out bad survivors more while boosting survivors that can already loop. wont make me play any worse, iv been rank 1 pretty much since game release but im thinking of others and balance. i dont want bad players hitting rank 1 constantly, it ruins the game and any form of enjoyment when skills are so miss matched. there might as well never be a rank.

Then why isn't the testing done on the ptb? you know, Public TEST branch.... What is the PTB for if it isn't used for testing? Where is the QA team?

It's literally just a test to see it's actual effect, because currently we do not now how the game plays out without it.
You also gotta remember how much weaker loops are these days, and that there's not really anyneed for bloodlust apart from a couple of infinites like asylum, which will 100% be removed when the graphical update comes along.

Well more people want nerfs than actual healthy game improvements, while it does suck you need a better console for the game to run smoother im just glad it actually does or i would have just stopped playing. but if you ever do get a new console rest assured it runs smoother. (this doesnt included latency with bad connection or people way across the world, pretty sure crossplay makes latency worse from my experience anyway. or i could just be unlikely and get some dodgy af connection players)

Not a single person would play a PTB surrounded only by Bloodlust changes. This way, they can gather data from every platform, and not just PC. Everyone is acting like they're completely removing Bloodlust. This is going to last for two days.

It needs Live testing because people play so differently on the PTB - plus there's also other things that can mess up the data on the PTB (for example any map changes that are also on the PTB). And to get the required data, regular matches need to be played with previous data to compare to. And also, this isn't just a PC/Steam only test, it's across all platforms.

Wouldn't it be healthier for the game to knock out these performance issues? I mean the game breaks every patch.
Besides even if they do remove Bloodlust, it can be rerouted to other ancillary systems. You lose tons of ground if you vault anything. If they increase vault speed for killers across the board, you'd definitely see some improvements.
