Game doesn't update properly

Steps to replicate:
- update game
- open game
- wait 1-5 minutes
- anti-cheat kicks me from game (picture below) for "modified game files"
Steps to fix:
- Verify game files through steam
- apparently I am missing 1-50 file(s)
- steam reinstalls 0.5-1.5GB of game
Frequency: Every update for the last 1-2 months

For me, every update for over a year now lol

Definitely try to clear your Steam download cache, I used to have this problem but since clearing it a few months back (and doing it regularly) I've not had the dreaded Error 4 in quite some time.
