Coldwind Rework at last...
For me, the big things that stand out are the Resident Evil 4 vibes/inspiration I have a feeling they are pulling from this go around. Be nice if they eased up on the corn this go around, looks like they might if the art is anything to go by.

I am happy about the thinning of the corn, also there is a pig. If the pig is there when they release the maps, I'm gonna call it Alex.

I look forward to any map changes but especially to ones that concern corn maps.
4 -
I really hope so. I understand that fractured cowshed is the most unbalanced one; but Rotten fields is just boring mess.
2 -
If they remove corn blindness, I am happy. And there is piggy, which is nice :)
4 -
It looks amazing as always just worried about it balanced and gamplay wise.
I don't want it to favor one side too greatly
4 -
I'm guessing they also made grass non existant? Trapper is just getting weaker every time...
4 -
I wouldn't say that they are also fixing the maps in terms of balance though, I think everyone is getting a little confused about that. They aren't reworking the maps while balancing them, they are just making them look better with SOME changes.

I'm glad Piggy will have a Piggy friend
1 -
I mean we won't know till we see it for real.
History though says yeah, probably =/
3 -
Same. And the one thing that worries me the most, is the Torment Creek's infinite returning because of breakable walls.
4 -
Will they toss on another realm? Or do a it solo like MacMillan?
0 -
It is always funny when people claim that Infinites are back because of breakable Walls while they forget that those God Loops were removed a few months before.
Breakable Walls are, for the most part, no issue.

What's left? Haddonfield after Coldwind Farm? Looking forward to that hopefully they do Haddonfield justice when they get to it.
As for Coldwind Farm - A bit disappointed if they don't expand the Thomson house just a little bit. It would be cool to see what a farmer's home looks like in greater detail in DBD. I'd be fine with one of the five maps being more so indoors (But not entirely) tbh.
I'm referring to size by the way since Thomson House was always a very empty map if you consider it's mostly just a cornfield and not so much focusing on the house.

Link to pics/vid of changes?

They are on Twitter.

why Alex?

and hyperlinked in my original post as well.

The pig is real and they have powers too

For those that haven't seen Twitter, these are the concept arts.
5 -
It's the first thing that came to my head.
Alex the pig, your only friend in the fog.
0 -
ok, if the pig is there, in your honour, I too will call it Alex!
10 -
Swamp and Red Forest still haven't been changed.

I honestly don't care too much about the visuals, they are kinda secondary to me:
-Make fractured cowshed actually balanced and fair
-Remove 'cornvision' (Seriously, rotten fields is rotten alright....)
-Not just go ham with breakable walls.
Everything after that is just a bonus for me honestly.

Yeah have to disagree Breakable Walls are a issue for killers as it does create infintes and God Loops, but hey killer can get rid of them just by breaking them not like you were in a middle of a chase or you have to waste vaualbel time to break a wall so there isnt a issue for later on the game. The walls were meant to be something for killers but somehow a vast majority of them is a benefit for survivors i do admit they have some for killers the bedham school is one but vast majority of them is killer has to break or you have a infinte on your hands.

i want the pig to be a feature.
Gideon / Lerys got rats, let Coldwind have a pig!
1 -
Dead Dawg is annoying, you have to break like 3 specific walls like every match basically or you'll just be screwed.
1 -
Based on the concept art. Looks like you'll no longer be able to swing yourself to the hay bail on the harvester to meet the survivor at the vault.

Calm Spirit doesn't work on the rats and that bothers me.
Watch it not work on the pig either too.
(Also Dead dawg has vultures...and Hawkins has rats in cages I think. Clown's map has the horse.)

-Remove 'cornvision' (Seriously, rotten fields is rotten alright....)
-Not just go ham with breakable walls.
Wish granted. Added breakable corn.
2 -
I personally would call it Chubby, named after my dog/pug
0 -
I mean, corn that can be cut when you attack and is pressed down when a killer or survivor steps on it and remains down would be kinda interesting honestly.
I would rather just....not have corn though ngl.

Sorry that you have to waste 2 seconds of your life to break a wall which makes the Loop useless. The Main Buildings with Breakable Walls mostly did not have anything left after the rework. You will not lose a game when you have to break 1 Wall.
And in the end, complaining about them does not do anything, Devs want to force them through, so just live with them.
2 -
If Mikey can finally stalk through the corn I will be very pleased.
0 -
I would agree but Groaning Storehouse :|
2 -
The only ones remaining after coldwind are red forest, haddonfield, and backwater swamp.

I said, for the most part. IMO Storehouse and The Game are examples where a Map does not need a breakable Wall. I would gladly remove all breakable Walls on The Game (and some Pallets) and the Wall on Storehouse as well, in exchange for the two unsafe Pallets which where in the Main Building before.
Saloon also is a little bit over the top with breakable Walls.
But for the rest, I think breakable Walls are fine. Not a big fan of them, but they will be added to Maps and so we have to live with them.

2.6 seconds and not to make them useless but fairer so before the walls we had fairer loops thanks to patch that orginally removed the god loops. But now killers have to take time away to make the game fairer can you see the frustration that the killer community has regarding the walls.
Also wasnt complaining was just saying i disagree on your view on the walls and feel like i should add my own thoughts to the matter regarding the walls.

Pig could just be part of the concept work, don't expect it or you guys will just have another dozen threads to make and complain about later. If it's there, then rejoice. But don't expect it...

Yet another realm that will be boring to play on as Trapper because of the awful new grass :'(

I've always loved the yellow tint, just like I did for the blue of Macmillan. Hopefully this one is better than Macmillan. The only rework that looks better imo is Ormond, with Crotus being marginally better.

So they're nerfing the corn now? I'll be happy to never have to go against a full P3 Sqaudette team on farm maps
0 -
Judging from previous maps, it will be worse for killer but look pretty.
More god loops, more linked tiles, more gaps and holes for survivors to see you through.
0 -
I'll be calling the pig Scrunchie.
As for which maps are left:
Swamp
Haddonfield
Also:
Ambient-Light fixing on autohaven's needed
And Lery's, Glenvale and Midwich don't have a teddy
0 -
Plus the time taken to walk to it, plus the time lost losing the survivor you were chasing just to be forced to break it. plus the time lost on a health state you should have been able to remove earlier.
0 -
Wait was something confirmed and where can I see it nvmfound it
2 -
Bro imagine bubba sweeping his chainsaw and corn is flying through the air
0 -
I know this seems weird but is it possible to have the corn fly through the air if attacked?
Edit it dosent have to be realistic I'm just imagining bubba or billy running through the corn and seeing a corn trail flying through the sky
0 -
As much as you try to blow up breakable Walls as a problem for Killer, they really arent.
2 -
Survivors better start booping that pigs snoot or else im gonna bring out the NOED
0 -
Depends how many you need to break.
