Disable Haddonfield if you're not reworking it anytime soon.
Title. No one but greasy SWF survivor mains want to play on that map. It's trash, it's outdated, and it's survivor sided even more than the rest of the game.

Agreed for the most part, but I just want to add that in my own experience I don't have fun playing on it as survivor either.

I understand that you don't like Haddonfield, but frankly this is not the way to leave Feedback.
If you explain more about what you dislike about the map, what you feel needs to be changed etc it's more likely to get viewed and considered rather than just say "this is trash" which helps nobody!

I dont agree with your point, even though it is clearly out of frustration. HOWEVER, Red forrest is probably worse for killers and even though I play killer 80% of the time, I dont mind it THAT much. I would rather have variety. The game, some larrys, red forrest, a lot of maps can be survivor sided, but that is okay. They do need to rework it and they have been reworking maps... but getting less maps because they are outdated is not the answer as I see it. BELIEVE ME I have been frustrated with that map as a killer... but it is still kind of iconic and I would rather keep it in and have them rework it. They arent the biggest dev team in the world, but they ARE reworking things and they DO listen.... some big teams do not even do that.

Good point. I apologize. Let me reiterate. I think the fences are really my main issue with Haddonfield, not to mention the upstairs dropoffs that anyone with Balanced Landing and a Strode Realty Key can just fetch a free ez chase. First, the fences - even as a huntress main they aren't fun to play around. They're too long, with too little openings, and that's about the only way I can really phrase it at the moment. But everyone's primary complaint is the latter I mentioned, the easy near-infinite loop of "go upstairs, jump out window, rinse repeat or edit routine as necessary" and while there is counterplay certainly I really can't say there's any other map besides maybe The Game that even remotely makes Balanced Landing as abusable as you can there. Also, it's too big. If you were to shrink it by like, 10-15 feet, it'd probably be good with just that change alone.
I don't know if I'm just bad, but I can't do well on Haddonfield. I can do just fine on any other map, Dead Dawg Saloon, etc etc - all the "survivor-sided" maps that aren't Haddonfield, I can at least get 2-3k, but the second I get Haddonfield I might as well just leave because it's going to be a free game.
As for it being an icon, yes, I agree, it is certainly an icon and I suppose disabling it albeit temporarily is sort of out of the question. I was just frustrated. I just need to look tips up on how to freaking play that map or something.
I really can't imagine it's very fun for either side honestly.

@Viridian598 thank you for the clarity on your post, that's a lot more helpful.

Other players I know also don't like to play on this map

It's a very frustrating map for sure but I just try to play it out knowing I'm probably gonna do bad.

No worries. Anger gets the best of us all.

That's pretty much what I do. Eat the L and get what BPs I can, I guess.

Or at the very least, disable the Haddonfield offerings to prevent the Balanced Landing teams from taking advantage of the map

I get this but I do agree with this person Haddonfield is honestly a nightmare to play on as there are basically 3 god loops that can make survivors invincible especially if they run balanced landing and put an offering into Haddonfield. Also I noticed we cannot change killers once survivors are in the lobby but survivors can change is there a point for this? I used to get last switching survivors from plain and dull to flashlight key fully decked out survivors so the killer would not disconnect from lobby but I can not change my killer anymore based on how the survivors are wanting to play. Also have the devs acknowledged the gen speed talks on here or pallets, or second chance perks being too much sometimes for a survivor who is supposed to be played with by the entity and not just laughing at it? Honestly speaking a 4man SWF red ranks will always beat a red rank killer if they are not making blatant mistakes.
Thanks

For the switching there is an explanation.
killers will have individual hidden skill ranks that will be used for matchmaking once SBM is active. And they already collect data for that. And they don’t want to activate and deactivate the function to switch as killer constantly to avoid further confusion.
for survivors they don’t change playstyle at all, they are all just skins. You can also just switch items last second even if not changing character, so deactivating it for survs would accomplish nothing. Also -and that’s just my experience- the survs that do that are extremely rare and turn out to be not that good at the game..
and you can still disconnect from the lobby without penalty if you just close the game in time (I think before the offerings are displayed? Not sure about the timing)
for second chance perks: DS was nerfed. They are slowly making changes.

I'm fairly certain people have been making plenty of well thought out and courteous criticisms of Haddonfield since it was released and sure its been changed slightly and mostly for the better but it still gets a lot of complaints for a reason and after so long of it not getting the full redesign it needs, I don't see how its all that surprising people are just kind of done with the map in general.
