So. . . Is this the new MMR system?
Or did I just get screwed over one final time by the ######### old matchmaking system? I don't play DBD anywhere near as much as I used to, and I haven't play Pyramid Head in nearly a year, so if this is the new MMR system its already broken.

The MMR initially overestimates your rank if it's data is sparce. That's a change they made in the last test. A few games where you lose and you'll be brought down to a more manageable level.

Ahh, that makes sense I guess. I was confused because I went from a hag match with 2 bronze 2 gold survivors, to a pyramid head match with 4 iri survivors. Not sure if MMR was turned on between that time.

SBMM needs time and matches to level out. Patience. Hopefully, it actually works as intended.

I've played about 4 or 5 matches now, and 3 of them were against red rank SWF. And in most of my games I've only managed to get 1 kill, so logically my MMR should be going down because I'm clearly losing my matches, but it seems no matter how good or poorly I play it's putting me against high rank players.

ranks are not grades, just because they're high grades does not make them good. That being said, it does seem that you're MMR is not yet properly set. It's really hard to determine if things are working properly because we can't see our own MMR or other individuals MMR.
