So, Withered Isle really is the realm of "problematic stuff previously removed form the game", huh?
I personally don't think I have played enough on Greenville Square to be sure if it is survivor-sided or killer-sided, but the fact that it has a double-pallet tile is kinda baffling. Double pallets have been pretty much removed from the game many years ago because of how unbalanced and problematic they used to be. They technically still exist, yeah, but it is extremely rare for them to ever spawn. As far as I know, it only happens if the RNG can't find somewhere else to put a pallet, and it usually only happens in awful maps like Badham Preschool. Greenvile Square is different: it has a tile with two pallets by default.
Curiously, it happens to be on the same realm as Garden of Joy, the map that used to have a lot of well connected and aligned pallets back to back across the whole map, and still has a main building with a god-window connected to a god-pallet. God-windows in main buildings used to be a common thing in this game, but they started to be removed back in 2020. Two maps on the same realm, both with old stuff known to be problematic.

Also, they shrinked the biggest map in the game.. Mother's Dwelling, just to add a new biggest map.. Greenville Square. That map is way to big

These new double pallets are just new ways to implement pallets, they are not so problematic as they were in the past, but this map definitely is giant, but, at the same time, the pallets on this map are garbage, so it’s just a giant map for the killer to patrol but not safe for survivors, bad design in my opinion

it's really not the biggest map in the game, there's quite a few bigger than it. It's definitely player perception that make them think it's bigger than it actually is, most likely due to the shape of it.

They aren't that bad, to be honest. The actual strength of some things in the game is often overestimated.

I've been playing since Monday night when I bought the DLC, no sleep, just breaks for food and shower.
I haven't played a single match on the new map. Could there be an issue with my account or something?
I find this incredibly bizarre. Offerings for Ichorous Loam just send me to Garden of Joy as well
I was considering filling out a support ticket but wanted your thoughts if possible.
I seem to be going to an incredibly narrow handful of maps unless an offering is made

You're on Switch right? If by some miracle you are in a lobby with fellow Switch players maybe message them (assuming a Switch even has that ability) to also put up an offering? Maybe increase your odds of getting the map that way?

There shouldn't really be big maps in the first place.
Survivors have a hard time traversing those maps cuz of their low base movement speed, so to get an unhook they need to travel 20+ seconds sometimes to get just 1 unhook.
Killers who don't have mobility can't keep up with 4 Survivors as well as all gens because they're way to slow for those maps.
Big maps are just bad for both sides in general.

Shape of the map is a factor when it comes to map size though.
The Crotus Prenn maps might just outclass the Whithered Isle maps in terms of square meters, but Greenville has to be the 'longest' of the 'large' maps with the greatest possible distance between two points.
All it takes is for two gens to be in those corners and that becomes a significant factor that skews it in favour of survivors.

There is no messaging on Switch unfortunately. It's like I'm in a weird purgatory of maps. It's not normal and I just don't know how this could be.

the offering has an equal chance to go to Garden of Joy than it does to Greenville - given they're the same realm

I have yet to play on the map as well, I've played a bunch of games, and I'm on PC. I highly doubt its anything strange, just random chance.

If large maps hurt survivors, do small maps (like Midwich) help them? Curious.

I think the double pallets are hilarious, tbh. The killer has no reason to leave the middle so the middle may as well be decent

I mean double pallets were an issue because they were both safe. Both of the pallets on Greenville's Double Pallet tiles are incredibly unsafe by themselves. I think it's pretty balanced.
They should take an Axe to Garden's kitchen window though.

Exactly.
And this shows that many people simply dont understand what they are talking about. They see Double Pallets and think they are the same Double Pallets from back in the day. Which is simply not true.
There are two bad Pallets next to each other. They dont really do much, they are totally fine and way weaker than many Single Pallet Tiles.

Greenville also takes the cake for the most unplayable pallets in the game for survivor. As long as you don't walk right through them you're all but guaranteed a hit on almost every pallet on that map. Even the actual maze spawns are butchered versions of jungle gyms and 4 lanes...
This map practically begs you to hold W

I like the size of the map. It isn't too big.
