[NEW] Added a widget highlighting a player’s own Perks in the pre-game Lobby.
The most unnecesaary thing... we want to see our teammates' builds, not ours.

This was A/B tested recently with positive feedback from those who were involved in the test - which is why it's been implemented. There's no plans to show team mates perks in the lobbies, given the issues around lobby dodging that would likely occur.

If there are perks that are so awful / selfish that knowledge about them would drive teammates away, why not change those perks?
-3 -
If the issue was only with a handful of perks then I'd be inclined to agree.
However people will lobby dodge over cosmetics (default cosmetics or matching cosmetics tend to be dodged more often due to the assumption they are either new or a SWF). The moment people would bring off-meta builds, not even outliers like No Mither, they would get dodged non-stop.
People would literally need to last-second switch their perks to deal with their own teammates.
Doing challenges requiring certain perks would become even harder and some adepts would be difficult to even attempt.
A large part of the community cannot be trusted to accept to play with sub-optimal teammates. It's the whole reason why Prestige (despite having very little correlation with skill) was removed in lobby, and lo and behold lobby dodging drastically went down.
There are things in this update that are pretty bad and will only reduce variety and make the game more stale, however this specific change isn't part of those.

Because this is a VideoGame, not a War. People can run the build they want WITHOUT other players throwing a fit.
4 -
What about just showing them during the game, that would be enough.

Some people enjoy running non-meta or spicing things up occasionally for a game or 2.

When did I say they can't run the build they want? Strawman much?
I simply suggested perks that are so bad they are essentially throwing the match (No Mither, Invocation Perks) or perks that only exist to wait for your teammates to die (Sole Survivor, Left Behind) should be considered for changes. Losing out on the potential of synergizing my perks with solo queue teammates (would be a huge help for solo queue) for the sake of keeping a handful of essentially negative-value perks doesn't seem like a good trade-off to me.
When Wake Up was nerfed into oblivion recently, the rationale was to prevent it being used selfishly, even though Sole Survivor and Left Behind are far more guilty of that behavior. I would like to see this logic extended to other perks that are only used for that purpose.

I didn't say that was what you said, I said that is the reason why the change as suggested isnt implemented.
That is also not what a strawman argument is.If the perks were not balanced then BHVR would know about it and would be about to address it.

imagine fearing a few dodging the lobbies enough to the point you won't actually implement something to assist solo Q...
We literally already have a way to see our perks, it's literally a button at the left that let you see your build and modify it. Why would we want the new thing?
I just can't believe the excuse given fr... I'm surprised you didn't show the other teammates' character bios instead. And even that would be more useful as it's something I can't access from my own character's window...
The reasoning is just insane

Mandy, as a Treacherous Crows main let me assure you...I would sooner have 5 entire lobbies dodge if it meant having a team that'd tolerate Invocations than chance my 1st team giving up immediately and going next or running the killer to basement on purpose because they despise my perk.
People running killers into basement to spite me is worse than any queue times

Ah yes, BHVR, renowned for properly balancing perks over the long life of this game.
You replied to my post, responding to claims I didn't make, nor did anyone else make those claims. That is the definition of a straw man argument.

The issue with lobby dodging isn't what it does to queue times, it's the awful effects on matchmaking and the devastating backfills.
-1 -
Backfill is a separate issue and should have been fixed years ago to pull from accurate mmr range instead of the next available player
2 -
Perhaps, but the problem is each and every time this community is asked whether it wants quality matchmaking or faster queues the resounding answer is always queue times.
Their matchmaking system gets one (maybe two) chances for fair-ish trials, but as people wait it widens the acceptable range until as you said it just grabs a player.

Can lobby dodging not be allowed anymore? Like once you get into a pregame lobby, you can't leave? That would be nice, but if you guys were to do that the mmr would need to be fixed so teammates actually understand what they're doing and not trying to do Archive objectives or something (also make a casual and ranked gamemode)

Its a plus for new players, its not supposed to impact people who already understand how the lobby operates

so, only for the first 1-2 matches and then becomes unnecessary? cool taking lots of resouces for that

Well perhaps given the tendancy of unbalanced matches to snowball to an unwinnable state within the first 3 minutes. And given the prevalence of survivors to not want to go through the motions once a match is in such a state. Might we want to consider that what the players SAY they want, and what their ACTIONS would demonstrate they won't tolerate demonstrate different preferences? Maybe we should allow an extra 30 seconds to get a remotely close backfill candidate to avoid such steamroll matches where possible?

I agree that could help, but good luck getting enough support for it. The wait times for events and especially the 2v8 have left a bad taste in most killer's mouths lately. It's also probably why split ranked/casual areas couldn't work either, as someone above brought up.
Removing Prestiges helped some, however I'd like to see tested out some form of locked lobbies, and watch how it affects matchmaking quality. Their system does its thing, items and cosmetics are still visible, but no leaving or clicking on profiles. Give enough time for players to adjust to it and everything even out some.
But I think we're too impatient for either of our ideas to happen. 😕

No, its a strawman argument when I:
1. They understood your actual point, 2. They chose to twist it into something easier to attack.Me clarifying the reason why I think your argument is bad, is not me choosing to twist it into a weaker point of itself.

You're not going to force people to play the game, they'd just close it instead to lobby dodge.
