BLOODPOINTS NOT ADDED TO TOTAL AFTER MATCHHES (SURVIVOR)
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Since the evening of July 23, 2025, bloodpoints earned in matches are no longer added to the total bloodpoint balance on my account.
The post-match scoreboard correctly shows the amount of bloodpoints earned (e.g. 200,000 BP), but the total bloodpoint balance in the main menu does not increase.
This issue occurs when playing as a survivor. I have not tested whether the same happens when playing as a killer.
PLATFORM: PC (Steam)
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- Launch Dead by Daylight via Steam.
- Play a match as a survivor.
- After the match ends, the summary screen shows earned bloodpoints.
- Return to the main menu.
- The total bloodpoint balance does not reflect the newly earned points.
This happens every time, starting from July 23.
It is unclear whether killers are affected, as I play only survivor.

The most obvious reason would be that you have hit the bloodpoint cap. Like you can earn 5 million bloodpoints to you bloodpoint pool from playing matches. You can go over the 5 million by getting bloodpoints from quest rewards and codes. There is two different pools of bloodpoints those that you can earn from matches that caps at 5 million and the second one has no cap and is for the quest/tome rewards, codes etc.
When you spent bloodpoints it will always first take it out of the non-capped pool until its used up and then start using them from the capped one.

Hi, thanks for your input!
I just want to clarify a few things. Until very recently, my Bloodpoints balance would consistently reach up to 8 million, and I was able to accumulate them fairly quickly — specifically through regular matches.
While it’s true that you can earn some Bloodpoints through quests and challenges, the amount is relatively small — typically between 15,000 and 50,000 per task. That’s not nearly enough to explain how fast my total was growing before.
Also, just today I saw other players bringing up the same issue in the Dead by Daylight Steam discussions — they also noticed that Bloodpoints stopped being added to their balance after matches.
So it doesn’t seem like this is an isolated case.

If you are at the cap then you will not accumulate more BP. The only time you can go over the BP cap is with the bonus BP which is what likely happened previously to you.

Hello, and thank you for your response.
I understand there’s a Bloodpoint cap, but in my case, that doesn’t fully explain the issue.
Yesterday, my balance reached 6,140,000 — and it happened very quickly. While I did complete some challenges, most of the points were earned through playing matches, as I haven’t been focusing on challenges recently.
After I noticed that no more Bloodpoints were being added, I spent around 120,000. However, even after spending points, the balance still doesn’t increase.
Today, the situation hasn’t changed:
– I played a match and was awarded 125,977 Bloodpoints — but my total balance remained the same.
– I completed an Archive challenge worth 15,000 Bloodpoints — still, no change.
– My balance remains stuck at 6,021,500.This seems like a bug, because:
– Previously, I was able to reach 8 million BP without issues.
– The balance doesn’t increase even after spending points.
– The game shows Bloodpoints being awarded, but the total doesn’t reflect it.Please look into this issue.

I told you how it works you are currently capped on the first pool of bloodpoints you will not lose bloodpoints from that 5 million bloodpoints until you use your total bloodpoints to get under 5 million. You have 5 million in the capped one and you have 1,021,500 in the uncapped one. You will not gain more bloodpoints from matches until that capped 5 million goes down and only way it can go down is until you have used bloodpoints making you go under the 5 million limit as it will always use bloodpoints from the uncapped one before it starts taking from the capped one. There is no bug you are just on the limit of the bloodpoints. The cap of bloodpoints is clearly stated if you hover over the bloodpoints in the game itself.
You can only go over 5 million bloodpoints if you get them from quest/tome rewards, codes etc. The game can show you be over it and still get bloodpoints from matches until those match bloodpoints take you to the 5 million cap on the first pool of bloodpoints.
