Withering Blight event postponed...
News broke on the DBD official twitter (there is also a message at the top of the forum).
'Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Withering Blight event is postponed until the release of the mid-chapter 3.3.0. We're working on getting the update ready as soon as possible and will keep you posted.'
So is the mid-chapter released tomorrow?

part of me is hoping the release is tomorrow and they're just messing with us. but i highly doubt it.

It's not tomorrow if the event is delayed until its out. The event was to be out tomorrow so if the mid chapter was tomorrow we wouldn't be getting this information.
Surely right?...
They'll either not release on a Tuesday for the first time in a very very long time or it'll start on the 29th now.
Guess we wait for more info. Would be weird if it ends up being tomorrow

The Mid Chapter Patch got no real date, if I am not mistaken. Even tho, it is logical that it should be released tomorrow (latest), when the Halloween Event would take place in the Free Track of the Rift.
So I doubt that the Mid Chapter will also be released tomorrow, which is kinda sad. Bad Chinese Event, no Event for 3rd Anniversary, no Event for Summer, delayed Halloween-Event and most likely Archives (something I was really looking forward to).

They were but got delayed. It's just poorly worded since they technically never gave a mid chapter date but gave an event date which outed the mid chapter date.
The event needs the update.

That's why we're confused lol I thought both were being released tomorrow. So if the event is delayed and it's not being released till the mid chapter then we weren't getting the mid chapter update tomorrow anyway?

Might be released thursday or later tomorrow at some point? I know they like to either update on tuesday or thursday.

We haven't shared a date yet for the Mid-chapter update but the event was announced for the 22nd so we had to announce the delay today. We ran into a few issues which forced us to delay the release of the event to the Mid-chapter release. (ETA still unannounced)

The thing is, is that Blight and The Archives went hand in hand during testing as the Putrid Serum is on the free track of The Rift, thats why we all assumed Midchapter was tomorrow because logic...so i'm just assuming Midchapter as a whole has been pushed back for these reasons.

Hopefully this means we’ll end up having the Bloodhunt and Withered Blight going on at the same time, unless the Bloodhunt also gets pushed back.

It's a community rumor the original source for that is reddit/twitter leaks rumor not confirmed by the devs.
The big leak group posted it which spreads everywhere as fact. (Even when it may not be)

Someone is about to go to sleep in the other room...they were really looking forward to the event/archives...I am not going to break the news. I don't think that would help them sleep! 😂They can find out in the morning!

It's probably better that they delay it then release something very broken

Honestly unless you see it on here or Twitter, it is not dev confirmed. There are people who get “leaks” but they’re not always accurate by any means. Always wait for official announcements.

Why do you guys fail so hard at things? I mean its been on PTB for weeks and something now just coming up? SMH, how do you guys CONSTANTLY fail over and over and over? I mean at some point it has to catch up right?

So what exactly is the problem? We know all about the event: The Offering, the Generators, the Hooks,the BP rewards from using an offering, the Rift, the lore through the Tome. What could possibly be the problem.

can you give us a hint as to why it was postponed?
Was it a technical issue with the patch and/or event or was it to make some adjustments to the archives and rift due to the feedback you received?

Super glad this is two events getting hit because they keep overpromising. First we lost the summer event for servers (how are those again?) And now this lol
How about you don't link events to giant changes? Super glad the battlepass patch is holding back the best event of the year. Maybe don't try to spin it like you guys are heroes for not releasing the broken thing you made lol

If you close your eyes when cleansing a totem you can pretend your milking a canker like last year. That's what I'll be doing tomorrow.
I'll do that for about 12 hours then buy an outfit I dont really want to recreate the experience in full.
(My best guess for the delay is that the guy who adds the pumpkins to the bonfire scene called in sick today.)
