Re: List of neat things I'd like to see in the game
^ this is the way to go.
@Topic:
- Not sure if this will ever come, when they changed Survivor Movement they also said that they are working on improving the animations you mentioned. And this was years ago.
- Yeah, ingame comms would be nice, but should obviously be a chatwheel or something similar.
- I dont know why Teammate Perks are not visible. It is information which SWF gets for free and Solos should also have that information. Does not mean that everyone would use that information, but I would totally let the person with We Will Make It unhook someone or want to show others that I have Deliverance.
- Absolutely not. IMO information should be removed, not added. Nobody should see the profiles of others, this would actually reduce Lobbyshopping. It would just increase the rate of dodging when Survivors can do what Killers already can do, but to even the playing field, the Killer should not be able to see the profiles of Survivors and not your proposed way.
- Eh, whatever. It should be 8 Perks, but I think BHVR is keeping the number of rotating Perks low to encourage people to actually buy the Chapters.
Re: List of neat things I'd like to see in the game
Highly agreed with this idea. Sadly I doubt that behaviour would ever do this, because the licensed survivor purchase would probably decrease, especially the rift stuff since they bank on FOMO.
Re: Damn playing a low tier killer is Horrible right now.
The devs themselves have said that they aim for a 60/40 for balance on both sides. This is what they said. Theyve aimed for 60/40 for YEARS these are the people who have alllllll the data, and they've been sticking to their guns for YEARS. Im pretty sure theirs a GOOD reason why they are saying 60/40 is balanced after reviewing ALLLLLL their data for YEARS.
This goes both ways.
If you're going to believe BHVR must be right on these decisions because they have the data we don't, then their decision not to nerf perks and/or SWF must also be because they have all the data.
They also never have said that the 60/40 is a rate that applies to every single scenario, but an overall target, and its not their only game balancing metric.
The quote shows @Firellius points
"relatively even"
"horror themed"
"intended killer balance"
They never say '60% is a balanced rate'. It's relatively balanced (not absurdly broken like a 70 to 80 would be, while still keeping the killer a 'force to be reckoned with') and its their intended balance - not a normal balance metric, but what they go for.
You're framing it in the best possible scenario for the survivors and worst for the killer. The survivor has no exhaustion to help escape, no anti-tunnel, no healing to help recover, etc. That's the thing about all out builds (on either side, really), under a perfect scenario they seem extremely powerful, but if another scenario occurs they can become very weak, very fast.
It's possible that build is broken. BHVR has the data and would know for certain, but there's lots of reasons why the build might not succeed.
It's possible its bad game design. If so, its a larger issue with the game.
Re: Damn playing a low tier killer is Horrible right now.
Isn’t that a contradiction?
If the “crybabies” get all killers nerfed, then how come Blight is still like that?
Re: Please survivors STOP Disconnecting
No kidding. 😵 Unlike camping/tunneling/slugging which offers an advantage and needs to be punished instead of incentivized (think: the kid will stop begging for candy if they get to have donuts for every meal), we're dealing with players that aren't having fun and feel punished by the game but want to believe things will improve. Give them a better experience and they'll find more reasons to stick around.
I'm gonna say it, I genuinely think this current system of handling DCs does not benefit Survivor at all and it's only done to satisfy Killers' egos. The bot is a wildcard, like any rando in pubs. There's no real difference. However, when you have someone that argues in favor of harsher DC penalties because they want the game to be "fair for everyone", that's code for me that they play in ways that lead to many players DCing against them and the game isn't fun for them without an audience. It's not the same thing when you torment a bot that has no feelings. And BHVR not only tolerates that, but they really advocate for it with the changes they make. And yet even so, we're still here discussing it because it's never good enough. 😵 As always, I could be totally wrong. But I don't think I am.
Re: Please survivors STOP Disconnecting
You keep saying you do gens like it's news. Of course you touch the gens bro, what else is there to do? We can all assume you're not in a bush all match. That's day-one behavior. Someone who actively avoids aggro and sets up their team to die is also a rat. Taking chase and involving yourself with the killer is part of the game.
Re: Please survivors STOP Disconnecting
Isn't this you complaining about people not playing the way you like?

Re: Please survivors STOP Disconnecting
Oh, word? It's been a long time for me; wasn't aware you could do that. Although, that does make a lot of sense now that I think about it.
Yeah, somehow, I'm not super surprised.

Lobby or in this case killer shopping. Honestly, they should take the opposite way. Take it away from survivory, too. Nobody should be able to check anything before the loading screen.
Re: Basekit bt is pretty funny to me.
So since the basekit endurance from unhooks was added I've noticed
That was three and a half years ago. It's strange to draw a comparison between such events given the scale of game changes that have happened like it just occurred a month ago.
