Re: Chaos Shuffle just exposes how bad tunneling really is
So, in Chaos Shuffle, what is the actual counter to a killer who decides to tunnel you out immediately after an unhook, injured, useless perks, dead zones, zero protection?
Not “learn to play" or “play killer”… If the killer refuses to drop chase and just wants you gone, what exactly are you supposed to do?
Re: Can we stop nerfing soloq please?
How do you tag a totem you have seen while being chased by the killer? You can do it in SWF. How do you tag traps? You can do it in SWF. How can you track spawned and dropped pallets around the map? You can do it in SWF. How do you tag the killer, telling your team his exact location and what he is currently doing? You can do it in SWF. How can you tell your team your suspicions about the killer's perks? You can do it in SWF. How can you tell your team "fall near this locker, I have head on"? You can do it in SWF. How can you tell your chased teammate the killer is double-backing or moon-walking behind the wall? You can do it in SWF.
As you can see, adding voice commands gives only a mere fraction of SWF power, a negligible one at that.
Re: Does anyone else just not like original killers?
im just waiting for a TCoFS (The Casting of Frank Stone) Chapter as fas as original chapters are concerned….
Re: Improving Dead by Daylight (for both sides)
Long read, but the ideas proposed were pretty good, and healthy in their approach
Re: Grimoire Survivors No Contest Winner
The young girl is like the heroine from some YA fantasy series. I won't be able to take it seriously if she wins. The older woman has clearly seen some ######### and I want to know her story. I do think you're right that it'll come down to the women.
Re: Regarding the Gooning Allegations...
Visual appealing characters sell better. We already have several unconventional characters like Haddie (I still wait for a proper face skin that doesnt look like shes been a punching bag for years) and literally none of them are played, cause lore is just "worthless" in dbd gameplay. I would think that at least 9 out of 10 players play their character cause of visual identification. Still I think we need some visual appealing MALE characters.
Re: Regarding the Gooning Allegations...
Not every character has to be for everyone. That's fine, I think. Haddie still has her players, and so will whoever ends up winning the grimoire vote. 'Sides, the vast majority of players has 'settled' on a particular survivor anyway.
Though, if nothing else, people get to grow some attachment to the character before the chapter release. Maybe that'll help.
Re: Chaos Shuffle just exposes how bad tunneling really is
If anything Chaos Shuffle more exposes how much a number of killers suffer due to reliance on specific addons and perks. Like how absolutely miserable Trapper is in Chaos Shuffle without access to at least one of his red addons if not just Bloody Coils specifically.
Re: Killer sided or Survivor sided?
Its not quite as black and white as it would seem.
Typically when playing solo Q at a lower/average level, killers have the upperhand. Its a lot easier for one person to keep track of everything than it is for 4 people to do the same thing while also trying to coordinate with little to work with, unless you run certain perks. There are some perks that also just dont work/are much worst in solo compared to swf purely because you cant communicate to your team that you have them. Being able to tell your team "I have Deli, do gens" and someone going (or even multiple people) go for the save when its not necessary could be the difference between a gen being completed or even multiple.
Now at a higher level the killer still needs to keep track of everything, but now with survivors who dont have any of the downsides previously mentioned. You have very little room for error, and RNG has the potential to screw over killers WAY more than survivors. The difference between a Hillbilly on lets say Wreckers Yard and Lerys is practically night and day.
So all that being said, it all boils down to efficiency and consistency. Times of gens have become a lot stricter meaning you dont really have the time to do more fun things like say chest or totem builds, or do gimmicky builds as killer. If you do so but the opps arent on the same page, the game will fly by.
It really is just the game being more modernized and more competitive which is something a lot of games have fallen victim of. People back in the day cried for balance when in reality balance =/= fun. Some changes made were necessary dont get me wrong, but ya cant get your cake and eat it too.
