Midwich pallets gone?
I noticed that a lot of pallets that always spawned are now missing. My question is why was that done to map with ever-lasting top tier kill rate?
Re: Why are we shaming killers instead of survivors?
The thing with quick gens is that it's more often than not the result of the survivors having nothing else to do. One could even say that quick gens is the fault of the killer, and that seems more reasonable of a take than 'blame tunnelling on survivors'.
As for 'real' genrushing, I assure you some people do blame survivors for trying to get the gens done as quickly as humanly possible. Especially when it's against a killer without mobility.
Regarding slugging, what killers get flak for is unnecessary slugging, ie., intentionally going for bleedouts. I don't think any reasonable player is going to call you a slur for leaving them on the ground for 20 seconds.
Also, what is a 'good team' anyway? Is that remotely reasonable to expect from public matches?
Re: What is the power difference between Ghostface and Blight?
I mean, it's all relative. I have 5k hours in the game. Nobody has a magical server that they play on where the players they face are magically better or worse.
Re: should spirit have a numbers-like rework?
Cherry Blossom just needs to go. Never should have been a thing in the first place.
Re: Why are we shaming killers instead of survivors?
How come is it easier to kill someone new rather than an unhooked person that has 15 seconds of endurance and 10% haste?
New in what sense? A new install, or someone with no hooks? New installs will also get 15 secs of buffs, so Im not sure what your point is here.
If it's someone not yet hooked, then I'm even less sure what you mean 'cause that is simply not true?
Also killers don't have a choice in the matter of weither survivors want to save on pallets or with flashbangs, sabo hooks and all of that so why are killers expected to not play a strong tactic (it isn't an exploit like some say, otherwise spreading gens and being efficient is too)
Kind of a false equivalence. We're talking about being eliminated early versus being inconvenienced/stalled. Also, hook sabotages are pretty damn rare in my experience, not to mention risky. Same goes for bodyblocking. Plus, there's no way they'll be able to sabo all hooks, and if you must, you can slug. It's not like you have no options here.
When you're being tunnelled, your only options are to try to hold a chase and pray your teammates do gens, or die.
Re: Why was the discussion arguing that MMR should be made visible removed?
If someone complains about playing against "S-tier" Nurse killers, but the game reveals they were playing against average MMR Nurse players, then the survivor didn't play against S-tier Nurses, and instead just played against average Nurses, which usually don't have a really great kill rate.
This is now the second thread you've posted in where your argument is essentially "ignore any feedback unless the player is the best in the game".
Personally, I don't think that ignoring the average player (or really any level of player) based on skill level is warranted. Something can be more or less difficult to deal with base on player ability, yet it may or may not be easy or feasible to adjust for every skill level. For example, new player experience is important too.
You're also using "s tier" in two different ways. Almost always this is a measure of potential. The killer kit is s tier, regardless of the player's ability to use it. But you are also arguing here that new nurses are not "s tier".
Don't confuse ability for potential, because otherwise you could argue that nothing in the game is "s tier" or "good" simply because new players exist. (Which., for the record, would include broken things like old dead hard for distance, for example).
how much complaints Nurse got every week, before her giant list of nerfs happened
I'm going to need you to write out this "giant list".
Because there was exactly and only one nerf to nurse, about 2(?) years ago now, where her blink attack went from being a basic attack to a special attack. The end result was that she went from being s-tier, best killer in the game, to still s-tier and either #1 or #2 depending on how you subjectively place blight. The horror.
The only other change to the character since 6.1.0 was removing lightburn, which was a buff.
Any other changes to the nurse are from like 7-8 years ago when she had 6 blinks. Or things like "she gets base 5% regression on kick and anti gen tap" that applies to all killers.
Re: Why was the discussion arguing that MMR should be made visible removed?
Bhvr said once that they hate people showing off stats and invalidating eachother.
But then doing stuff like dbd stats and revealing info anyway
There's a pretty big difference between individuals bragging/using their stats to demean others and providing information on the overall status of the game.
Wierdly enough, no one has come out to show their stats (atleast from what i have seen).
I've seen plenty of people post their stats, unfortunately it doesn't tell us much.
The survivor side has been messed up by how BHVR counts abandons and, though probably to a lesser degree, players willingness to rat.
The killer side bolsters a player if they are willing to slug for the 4k or not.
Neither of the above generally get considered to be reflections of skill, but they can subtantially impact the numbers.
Re: Why are we shaming killers instead of survivors?
The killer is too far for the first option so I simply wait the last moment to trade
This can't always be done without coordination. I've see many ranged killers—Deathslingers, iri-hatchet Huntresses, and Houndmasters, in particular--who will stand right outside the range and wait with their weapon ready. You try to trade, get hit/downed, and the hooked person goes second/dies. The coordination needed to unhook them is hard to manage in soloq. The same problem exists with slugging multiple people. Even in a party, whole-team slugs happen. It's particularly hard to counter with certain aura read perks.
How is it the killer that is blamed and not the survivors?
Because the killer is making the choice to do the thing, just like a killer will blame survivors if all of them brought gen perks and Commodious toolboxes and gens got done in three minutes. Difference is, I've never actually seen that happen, yet I see tunneling, camping, and slugging every time I play survivor.
And because a 200 hour killler can tunnel out a 2000 hour survivor. The skill it takes to tunnel is generally low against most players. The skill it takes to counter it can be pretty higher depending on the killer and the person playing them.
Also, this isn't a survivor vs killer issue. Plenty of killer-players are against these tactics.
Re: Why are we shaming killers instead of survivors?
The point in bringing up Sadako isn't that she's an unstoppable tunneller. I agree, Sadako is one of the few killers you can fairly reasonably fend off a tunnel from, especially with perks.
The point is that a good majority of the roster can just decide to return to the hook and tunnel you, not just the high tiers like Billy. It's just flat out not because the team made a mistake in a lot of scenarios- it's a decision the killer can choose to make for themselves and force the issue.
As for the last part, that's not really how it works. Resources have to be used sometime, and even if you reach one it isn't necessarily going to be a good one that'll help that much. You can't avoid a deadzone if you're hooked in it.
