Re: When will we hear ANYTHING from the devs, mods etc regarding tunneling?
You find gens boring but you don't want to engage with any other aspect of the game? What is the point of winning an unfun game?
Re: Haddonfield is actually a very survivor sided map.
I play both sides regularly and strongly disagree that it’s survivor-sided. It’s small, most of the map is a dead zone once the couple of safe pallets are destroyed, and has easy 3-gens to defend.
Re: Are the devs keeping matchmaking bad on purpose
I think they're keeping it fast and that's mostly what matters. We'll see what they have in-store for the upcoming changes. At least being able to opt for a more accurate match and wait longer would be nice, but the criteria for what raises you in MMR is too simplistic as is for decent matching to occur anyway.
Re: Haddonfield is actually a very survivor sided map.
The map is about 30-50% too small.
Youre practically guaranteed an egregious 3 gen spawning so you only need to focus on defending 1 or 2 houses.
All the house windows are death traps and only the basement gen house has pallets worth anything.
Main building side has no good pallet spawns.
Basement stairs are easily blockable
Exit gates are usually easy to watch simultaneously.
The street has nothing to block LOS making proxy camping hooks very easy.
The street has zero windows and really the only somewhat useful windows on the entire map are the main building porch ones. However these dont lead to any useful pallets so you'll die after using them anyway.
Re: Haddonfield is actually a very survivor sided map.
Is this satire? Or are you from the past and timetravelled to 2026?
But dont worry, you only will have to deal around 2 weeks with that "survivor-sided" map and those insanely strong Pallets.
Re: Survivor perk idea: Deadly games
Sounds like a pretty irritating perk to be honest. Either drop everything as Killer and hope you can even get close to that Survivor in time (really tough for most Killers on most maps) or have a permanent rat Survivor with free Dead Hard.
Re: Are the devs keeping matchmaking bad on purpose
Yeah this kind of thing happens to me all the time. The matchmaking system might as well not exist at all because it’s literally random what skill level you’ll go up against in any given lobby.
Re: Are the devs keeping matchmaking bad on purpose
The non-functional matchmaking is by far the biggest problem in the game. I almost always have fun on both sides when I’m matched with other players of similar skill level. The problem is that so often that doesn’t happen.
Unfortunately I don’t know what can be done to fix the problem. A higher player population would help, but that is currently going in the wrong direction. More priority for accuracy over speed in the matchmaking would also help, but longer queue times could make the player count problem even worse.
Re: Are the devs keeping matchmaking bad on purpose
me playing duo with my friend who is still new to the game: first match against a 10,000 hour nurse comp player.
completely made me realize how toast the matchmaking really is
