Re: Why I’m Hanging Up My Medkit: Reflections After 2,500 Hours
each match a survivor gets chased is an opportunity to hone those looping skills
Thank you person who actively avoids chase.
As for the win con….having it as a team win would only benefit SWF.
It wouldn't benefit selfishness, that is for sure, but it would make soloq have to be more of a team. It would also have to come with more help for survivors, like basekit Kindred or Bond, but it would be better for the game overall. The best players in this game play as a team. If soloq wants to be like the oh so powerful and mystical SWF then this 1v1v1v1v1 mentality has to go.
Re: Abandon feature should pop if killer has a 80+ ping
If devs are afraid to show in the lobby killer's ping, then let them give us a chance to skip it (abandon) during the match if killer has a constant high ping. Why should we tolerate such hits?

Re: Balancing around S+ Killers and SWF’s ruins it for M1’s and solo Q
Of course, the current model of meta killers didn’t come out of nowhere. They were designed specifically to combat SWFs
What is this assessment based on?
Meanwhile, anyone just trying to have some silly fun with a basic M1 killer or playing average solo-queue matches suffers as collateral damage.
Are you genuinely trying to win as an M1 killer? Are your stats below 60%? Which killers are the issue, exactly?
Re: Stop thinking.
anyway look at this bird that I assure you is not AI-generated:
Black-capped Pygmy-Tyrant - eBird
It's a black-capped Pygmy-Tyrant, a positively tiny songbird native to Middle America.
Re: Status for Killers?
The reason why killers only use the same perks (Gen Regression and Aura) is because most other killer perks are just ineffective by either being too weak or hard countered by the surv meta.
As stated by Mech above a lot of killer aura perks have a cooldown or have a specific requirement to activate which can determined in game with game sense or will outright be told to you like with Weave Attunement.
Also I think the argument for Nurse is unfair, yes its powerful on nurse but the other 40 killers in the game should not have to suffer just due to one, the only thing for nurse to change would be that she cannot see auras while using her power.
Re: The generator repair speed on the Asia server is too fast.
I think there are two separate issues here. First, that gen speeds have already been nerfed. They used to be faster, and things like BNP and several gen perks used to be significantly stronger than they are now. But tunneling was just as common then as it is now, and I believe the reason why leads to my second point, that everyone’s idea of a “fair” gen time is subjective. There will always be players who feel gens are too fast, even if they took ten minutes minimum each.
Gens and tunneling should not be treated the same because they’re driven by player choice. Killers who tunnel wouldn’t stop doing so if gens took four times longer, just like survivors wouldn’t stop doing gens even if there was one left and the killer had zero hooks.
To OP: As far as Asians servers go, I know it’s very competitive in comparison to many other servers. The survivor rate is much higher there, but the kill rates are still healthy as well. I’m not sure what they could do to change that without completely impacting the balance for several other servers across other countries. But I am sorry for those that don’t want such a highly competitive scene.
Re: Why I’m Hanging Up My Medkit: Reflections After 2,500 Hours
As I see it, the problem is half the give-up mentality and half that BHVR is doing nothing about it. Most of the efforts to help the survivor role this last year have been nuked, which is only making people feel worse. Even if every survivor in a bad match digs in, some matches just aren't turning around, and there's nothing to either make you feel otherwise or at least make you feel like your time wasn't wasted. It doesn't help that the survivor wincon is a personal escape and not a team win. Pretty sure we've all had those sessions where the team keeps winning but you're the only one dying. That gets aggravating and the game doesn't reward you in anyway. Even if you're the best player, all you get is a death on your record.

Re: Why I’m Hanging Up My Medkit: Reflections After 2,500 Hours
I also think there's a factor of expecting something negative to happen, and then reacting the moment there's a trigger.
I can count on my fingers how many times I've DCed but I totally get why people do it because of this exactly. Bad match after bad match and the frustration builds, and as soon as it seems like its gonna be another they give up. They should just not ready up but they keep chasing that good match, since no one wants to end on a bad note.
It made me smile that you found a group of people to play with, and that you're feeling better than before. That's what matters.
