Re: Why no Ghoul Nerfs???
Thank you for mentioning the animation. I think is an overlooked issue. I have been hit by perfectly unavoidable Blight rushes or by Dracula perfectly pouncing around corners etc and Nurse blinking directly behind me and grabbing me from a gen (even though I had let go from the button!). All of these feel unavoidable, but they feel unavoidable by the circumstances or the skill of the player. With ghoul the animation feels like the game forces you into this unavoidable circumstance.
In a nutshell this part of Kanekis power is comparable to a projectile. But when huntress throws her axe halfway through the map and you happen to step into it's path, you feel like "damn I didn't see this coming" or damn that player is good" With Kaneki it feeels as if the game would held you in place, so the huntress can hit you.
In my opinion even if Kaneki was fully balanced, this would still frustrate people a lot.
Re: Windows is both my favorite and least favorite perk.
you could run zanshin and also follow the yellow where you'll inevitably meet the WoO gamer.
Re: Remove anonymous mode
Before anonymous, if I'd done anything that wasn't in either rule book, I'd sometimes get messages telling me to go do things to myself. You can laugh about it, that's fine, but I don't want those types of messages.
Re: Forced Penance and you
I don't mind forced penance, it's a niche, But useful perk.
But let's be honest here, "go play dbd", in your words is "go do gens". It's that really want you want them to do?
Do you honestly think they're going to go open a chest or chance a dull totem in this situation instead?
DbD is a pvp game, so if you choose to limit the options to interact with the killer, then that's a choice in this case. But the survivors are going to go do gens instead. I'm not sure exactly why you'd want that. I want them to do anything other than gens, personally. Even better if they do it voluntarily.
Re: Question about the forums
If an opening post gets enough down votes it will no longer bump, even with replies. Otherwise, it's a vibe check.
Re: Excessive slugging - Holding the game hostage
Slugging for the 4k is just an obnoxious experience most of the time. I get it if the other person is literally in eyeshot but if the killer has no idea where the other survivor is - just freaking hook. The whole point of the hatch is that there is supposed to be a last ditch, possibility for escape for the last person present in a match. Intentionally avoiding a phase of the match that is intended to be there is a cheese.
I had a match the other day where the killer went through 3 rounds of a cycle where he'd down the other person, I'd run in and get them up once I had an opening from them going off to look for me, then they'd come back and down me, then repeat. The desperate need to dominate us rather than risk the possibility of a freaking normal 3k win was ridiculous.
There was another one where after a night of wasting one pie offering after another on killers playing the event like their lives depended on minimizing any blood points the survivors could earn that I got absolutely sick of it and hid in a locker. It's not like I could get to them anyway - the killer was guaranteed to see me based on where the slug was and their patrol pattern. I legitimately stopped caring about the match at that point and made it my goal to be as obnoxious as I could possibly be right back at that player. It takes 2 to tango - I wasn't the one who left them on the ground without hooking them.
Re: Excessive slugging - Holding the game hostage
I can explain why I downvoted, only because I simply disagree. When the option is to simply give up to bleed out and die yourself or wait for the other person to, I don’t agree that it’s ‘not really that bad’. Those games are some of the worst negative experiences players can face. Including the option to abandon while slugged or repeatedly slugged seems to even acknowledge this, as there’s no appeal to playing a game where you slowly bleed to death for 4 minutes. So, respectfully, i disagree with the sentiment that it’s not really that bad and you just need to bleed out and die.
Re: Remove anonymous mode
the point is to protect us, because some elements in the dbd community will get back at you at any cost if you beat them, this include posting ######### on your steam. I always play in anon, and i dont cheat or play toxic, but i like the layer of privacy protection it gives me.
Re: Remove anonymous mode
So basically you want anonymous mode removed so we can witch hunt players for a plethora of ridiculous reasons.
Why Aren't My Cheater Reports Being Banned?
For the last 9 months, I've reported probably over a dozen blatant cheaters. I've submitted in-game reports, then followed up with player tickets where I take the painstaking trouble to record my game footage, capture my logs, and submit the ticket. Brazen, blatant, obvious cheaters.
And NOTHING is happening to them.
I have received no status updates on any of the cheaters I've been reporting in the last year. Just today, I went against a cheater who was teleporting, taking control of other players, and attempted took our game hostage. I've gone against COUNTLESS games like this, and I report these players and go through the extra effort to provide extra footage, and NOTHING happens. I never get any status updates, so I can only assume they're left to cause chaos and ruin games and nothing's being done about it.
This gets absolutely no reaction, no bans. I understand that the devs cannot talk about their cybersecurity measures but I feel ignored and I feel like the game health is uncared for as long as I'm being ignored and players like this are allowed to run rampant with no consequences.
Is anything being done about cheaters? If so, what gives on the radio silence on my ban reports for almost a year?
