Re: Special break, Special Vault make it confusing for new players
i will cry if this is actually implemented into the actual game because this change sounds so garbage think about it if we have to do a vault when a killer power is not in use or a perk effect in use would mean that most of the killer vault combos are no longer existent.
window Myers gone, chucky scamper nope, legion powers now negate the whole roster of vault perks I could go on but on another note
this also means if you happen to have any speed boost of any kind vaulting it wont activate the perk because it"s a special vault moreover this means the perk power up and others that give you speed boost negate every vault perk because it's a special vault this should not happen.

Its just that they will finally difference some actions as breaking and vaulting ones with basic or special ability the problem is some perks that applied to special ones wont work with them after this change so some perks that were only valid on some killers due to use of their power as synergy or some addon will be dead which I dont see good especialy if they these combinations werent busted or super problematic just only another nail in the currently big coffin called perk variety, something everyones want to see but things/changes like this only make the spread of stale meta use bigger.

My point still stands, you saying your escape rate being low as evidence of SWF having comms makes no difference is debunked due to you possibly sacrificing yourself for your team. In doing this, your escape rate would drop but it's possible that your 3 other team mates could be escaping therefore the killer losing.

Yeah, maybe i was rushed to say M1 killers because i was thinking on Legion, but anyway, weaker killers will be the ones mostly harmed by this change.
Also, personally, i believe this will start a "trend" in BHVR in putting a barrier on how perks interact with powers. For example, Legion and Wesker might not block a window if they vault it with Bamboozle while using they powers.
About killer who break pallets with power not running Spirit Fury - or others perks related to their powers - i disagree. They don't NEED them - killers just need antigen these days - but they become viable builds. Vecna1 could have a interesting build (not the most meta) with the Vorpal Sword + EndFury but since they don't interact i don't see a reason to try this build on Vecna; EndFury on Knight would be great to get some hits if it worked on the guards breaking pallets, but since it doesn't, i usually just run the same antigen build everytime.
As @Reinami was pointing it out, it will take away many viable builds from some of the weaker killers who got some value on these perks.
EDIT: As i keep saying, currently i don't see any reason to play with more than 3 killers (Dracula, Blight and, ocasionally, Knight) out of the 42 this game has. This kind of change just incentives that. If that's not a thing to be concerned, i don't know what else could be.

I would play ranked because having competent teammates is fun, not dudes who cleanse dull totems affected by thrill of the hunt, (just had a teammate doing that today, super frustrating and a massive waste of potential gen pressure) some who don't know how to play safe and counter garbage killer kits, and people who dc the second one little thing doesn't go their way
Comms should be forced and encouraged on ranked, and optional in casual/quick match.

We are becoming Fortnite with Slashers pretty fast.
So sad to see the game losing its identity in exchange of nothing, like… they could make a "Legacy" option for those aesthetic changes so older players could still retain the "DBD feeling" those things brought.
I hate when DBD changes not for balance or for quality of life, but just to try to get newer audiences or to follow trends.

no, I'm telling you why would anyone want to play survivor now? obviously people are, myself included, I'm just telling you that why these 2v8s are mid from a survivor pov.
I'm trying to claim that killer diversity helps survivor just as much if not moreso than killers. our friend is tunnel visioning on seeing killer additions in the wrong light and I'm trying to help, as a 100% bloodpoint main that plays all sides

he's right though. why would I play 2v8 survivor when ST released? we don't know if vecna 2 will disappear like vecna 1, so I have no real desire to play when I'm feeling 1v4 FOMO
2v8 also doesn't have any of my favourite killers. why would I want to face killers I despise (Wraith, Oni, trapper) when I could play 1v4 and face wholesome Springtrap who is always a barrel of laughs?

i thought it was a dead perk since survivors started pre dropping when they saw you had it and then survivors started pre dropping as a general strategy
